I have tried to touch upon everything in this lecture,though not complete is enough to give an idea about congenital hypothyroidism. This discussion is only to help medical students and healthcare professionals to understand the basic concepts and enable them to approach a case/write in theory exams.I would like to reiterate that the information provided is a compendium of data obtained from various sources and the rights lie with the respective authors

    A very nice lecture...... there are many lectures available internationally but they are not able to make the base but you have done it successfully......and that's the target of any lecture . Once we are having a solid base then we can improve ourselves......but base is the necessary.❤️

    A excellent presentation mam ... would you little more explain why we are repeating thyroid function test at 3yrs ? Is it for all hypothyroidism or any specific conditions alone ? What is significant?

    Great presentation Mam... U clearly explained to me (a parent without much idea in medicine field). My son has Hypothyroidism and he is taking levaxin every morning...we got to know on the 4th day and treatment started at 1st month... Now he's 3yrs old and follow up checkups are done at regular intervals... Everytime they assess T3 & T4..He is doing well 👍

    I have also same trouble. i have 10 days baby girl who has completely without thirod gland has been diagnosed within 7 days. We started to medicate 25 microgrom thyroxin. I have few more questions to resolve
    1. May arisen any harmful when my child become adult??
    2. Does child has any disabilities in external appears and mental deformities.

      How is your baby now, is the growth normal
      My baby too has absent thyroid gland....was diagnosed on 3rd day after birth...she is 10 month old now.... curious to know more about it.
