South Africa’s ANC party loses majority, forced to seek coalition

  • South African President Cyril Ramaphosa on Sunday called for the country's political parties to overcome their differences and find “common ground” to form the first national coalition government. In the official results announced by the country’s Independent Electoral Commission on Sunday, the ANC got 40.18% of the national vote, losing their majority for the first time in 30 years. Thuso Khumalo reports from Johannesburg.
