Hi Patrick, sorry only just found your comment! I had restrictions on! Glad you are tempted to try a drone. You do the qualification online, very easy but necessary to fly. I did the UK and EU one and the A2 CofC drone training course.
@@OurSecondlifeabroad Thanks for that, I will have to look at the online courses. Are they in Spanish or English, as my level of Spanish is only basic at the moment.?
If you are going to be flying the drone in Spain only, you only need to do the EU online registration. Do it with the Irish page as it is in English. It costs €30 and is all you need. Watch a video first, learn rules and regulations then do the online test. Make sure you put your operator ID on your drone with a sticker. Whatever you do, make sure you buy a drone that has obstacle avoidance on it. I have two drones, the DJi mini 3 pro and the Dji Mavic 3 pro. www.iaa.ie/general-aviation/drones/drone-register
@@OurSecondlifeabroad Thanks for the website and info. What happens if some time in the future I wish to fly a drone in the U.k? Would I need another license?
Sadly, yes! The joy of Brexit! Originally, a UK drone license would be fine for Europe but since we left you need an additional one for Spain etc. So, yeah, if you go back to the UK you will need a UK flyer ID/ Operator ID. You also need to renew these as they are not for life.
Love this!🎉❤
