I think the half pages at the bottom are Dutch door style, Which could make them fun to decorate. I'm won6if you can cut them in a way to that you could snip them and put them on top yourself you wanted? As someone who likes a horizontal planner. Those boxes aren't to bad. They are like slim horizontal lines. So wouldn't be to hard to get use to for horizontal users. If you think of them as small notebook size boxes.

It definitely looks blue. Maybe a tiny bit toward turquoise but definitely blue.
I started my portrait in may when it first arrived and I’ve never had an issue with the pages or the bump in my month

You can snip the weeklies and put them at the top but then you’d defeat the purpose of being able to see the monthly at the same time 🤷🏻♀️
