I’m American and you SHOULD get mad when other Americans make fun of you. More than half of the ones making fun of you couldn’t speak another language if their lives depended on it. I read, write, and understand Spanish fluently but I don’t actually like speaking it because my Spanish speaking is horrible so I completely understand how it feels to speak a second language as a non native. I’ll have to say every Latin person I’ve ever spoke it to never made fun of me. They appreciated my ability to communicate with them in a language they were more comfortable with. They always understood what I was trying to communicate even if my pronunciation wasn’t perfect…just like Americans do when a Latin person speaks English to them…yet they feel compelled to be jerks about it…even tho I wasn’t made fun of…it still didn’t make it any less intimidating…if I were being made fun of I’d be super pissed so I totally get it!!! I wrote this in English so English speakers might read this and be kinder to other people for whom English is not their first language!

What I always hated is that the script writers didn't show how much better Gloria is than Jay's ex. The comedy gold of how unstable DeeDee was only surface explored. Though..the one moment... "I'm lucky only one turned around." .... was hilarious!!
