    Ron, It's John here. I am no spring chicken either mate. I am considering one of these bike's (my brother too) Did you have to get it approved by DVLA then tax and insure it? If so what was the process and relevant costs? I hope you can shed some light on this for us. Speak soon cocker -0)

    • @Rivaboyz1987

      More hassle than it’s worth you have to apply to dvla for a logbook then get a serial number then book the bike in at a garage so they can restrict it to 30mph and wire all the lights and indicators up process took my mate 6months and u can’t go over 30mph on the uk road on one so it’s pointless get a 125 you will save yourself a lot of money and hassle or get a Surron and ride it off road at 50mph 😆💪🏻

      Daily max 49mph, figure on an average speed of 45mph on the flat, but that's going to rinse the battery. Just buy the road legal version which is £500 more.

    I'm half thinking of getting one, would want to ride mostly off road but need to ride on roads to get to those off road tracks.
    Question is, should I get a road legal version or not?
    Obviously both would be illegal on cycle routes anyway so it's more a question of one is ok on the roads where I'm more likely to get pulled but then it's also more traceable when riding the trails.

    • @FBody007
      @FBody007  3 года назад +2

      If you ride on the road it needs to be road legal otherwise you will get points on your driving licence and bump up any insurance costs. I've found that providing your courteous to others on cycle route or off road paths and don't ride like a dick near them you won't have a problem.
