I remember when I was younger I used to pray to ‘mary’ every night, at one point I started getting a very strange feeling about doing this and i was a bit hesitant every time I did and eventually i started getting an image in my mind of the mary from the Bible but with red eyes and it scared me, at first I apologised to God because I thought I was doing it myself and that it offended God but it wouldn’t stop happening, i started praying for it to go away and then one night I saw the same image but this time as if she was jumping out at me, it really scared me but I still thought it was just an intrusive thought and brushed it off, every time i did it i was still scared it would happen again because i didn’t want to offend God and I was still hesitant about praying to ‘mary’ because I wasn’t sure if it was right until around a year later when I read a verse in the Bible in revelation when the angel of God repeats that we should worship no one but God and by God’s Grace I reflected on myself and thought about if I worshiped anything and then later I went to pray and was about to pray to mary but had a sudden awful feeling and remembered that verse, I thought to myself that praying to mary wasn’t me worshiping but it felt wrong every time I did it, so i decided to stop and I asked God to show me if it was right, I started praying straight to God and praying became a much more peaceful and enjoyable experience because now I spend time in God’s presence just like the Bible teaches, it’s crazy to think how blinded and hard-hearted I was

Understanding your experience is crucial, and it's important to approach such personal encounters with sensitivity and respect. As a Catholic, the tradition of praying to Mary and the saints can sometimes be misunderstood, not only by those outside the faith but occasionally by members of the faith themselves. Let me address your concerns from a Catholic perspective, which emphasizes a deep reverence for both scripture and tradition.
Firstly, it's vital to clarify that Catholics do not worship Mary or the saints. Worship is due to God alone. When Catholics pray to Mary or the saints, they are asking these holy figures to intercede on their behalf to God. This practice is rooted in the Communion of Saints, a belief that the Church is not just the body of believers on Earth but also includes those in heaven and purgatory. The Catechism of the Catholic Church explains that the saints' intercessory role brings us closer to Christ, who is the sole mediator between God and humanity (CCC 956).
Your experiences, particularly the visions and feelings of fear, are deeply personal. In Catholic understanding, prayer and devotion should lead us closer to God's peace and love, not away from it. If a particular form of devotion causes distress or fear, it's prudent to seek guidance. This might involve discussing your experiences with a knowledgeable and compassionate priest or spiritual advisor who can offer counsel tailored to your spiritual needs.
Regarding the scripture in Revelation that cautions against worshipping anyone but God, this is in full alignment with Catholic teaching. The veneration (honor) given to Mary and the saints never equates to the worship (adoration) due to God alone. The distinction between latria (worship given to God) and dulia (veneration given to saints), with hyperdulia (a higher form of veneration) given to Mary due to her unique role as the Mother of God, is crucial in Catholic theology.
Your journey towards a peaceful and enjoyable prayer life, focused on God's presence, is commendable. The Catholic Church encourages a personal relationship with God through prayer, which can take many forms, including but not limited to intercessory prayers through the saints. If praying directly to God has brought you peace, this is a beautiful and authentic expression of your faith. The Catholic faith encompasses a rich diversity of devotional practices, allowing individuals to find the paths that best draw them into closer communion with God.
In conclusion, your spiritual journey and the challenges you've faced are a testament to your desire to live a faith that feels authentic and true to God's call. As Catholics, we are encouraged to seek God with a sincere heart, informed by the teachings of the Church, the scriptures, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. May your journey continue to be one of deepening love and understanding of God's presence in your life.

16 If any one sees his brother committing what is not a mortal sin, he will ask, and God will give him life for those whose sin is not mortal.

      PART 1
In my heart, I just can't believe that Jesus, The Father in Heaven, would want Mary, to be just unincluded. Keep in mind, in the Gospel of St.Thomas, while he's teaching his disciples say "your Mother and your Brothers are here" , Jesus says, that is not my Mother and Brothers, he then turns to his disciples and says "THESE ARE MY MOTHER and MY BROTHERS!" , the gospel also mentions his REAL mother gave him life, and mentions something else about his false Mother. It is also said the one who gave physical birth to him as well as his brothers said he was nuts and needed to give up preaching because he was losing too much weight (from fasting), they actually treated him like he wasn't anyone who was actually worth listening to. But yet his DISCIPLE MARY, IS HIS MOST BELOVED. SAID TO UNDERSTAND MORW THEN ALL THE OTHER DISCIPLES. PETER EVEN INSINUATED SHE WAS LIEING ABOUT HOW JESUS SPOKE TO HER IN PRIVATE. THE MEN DISCIPLES WERE JELOUS OF HER AND DIDNT LIKE HER BUT YET SHE WAS ALWAYS THERE FOR THEM SUPPORTING THEM TELLING THEM NOT TO FEAR ESPECIALLY AFTER JESUS WAS GONE. NOT TO MENTION, THE DISCIPLE MARY WAS SAID TO BE ONE THAT JESUS (YESHUA) KISSED OFTEN ON THE MOUTH. LETS GET EVEN MORE SERIOUS, AND ILL INCLUDE WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT THE SEED OF A WOMAN AND THE BIRTHING OF JESUS PHYSICALLY
GEN. 3:15 "AND I WILL PUT ENMITY BETWEEN YOU AND THE WOMAN, AND BETWEEN YOUR SEED AND HER SEED, HE SHALL BRUISE YOUR HEAD, AND YOU SHALL BRUISE HIS HEEL" ENMITY MEANS THE STATE OR FEELING OF BEING ACTIVELY OPPOSED OR BEING HOSTILE TO SOMEONE OR SOMETHING.
ITS SAID THIS PROPHECY WAS FULLFILLED IN GAL. 4:4 "BUT WHEN THE FULLNESS OF THE TIME HAD COME, GOD SENT FORTH HIS SON, BORN OF A WOMAN, BORN UNDER THE LAW"
I believe this 2nd prophecy was completely misinterpreted and misunderstood especially considering the fact that the 1st one is said that enmity will be put between yes you are and the woman he is born from physically considering that tell everybody on the planet interpreted that and I think it's fair to say that's what it meant. But yet everyone ignores that it says this and doesn't acknowledge what the gospel of Saint Thomas says nor is the gospel of Saint Thomas anywhere in The Bible because it was taken out for some odd reason, And what baffles me the most is the fact that this was called The Secret teachings of Yeshua, which is Jesus, And the disciple Thomas was called twin for a nickname. He was known for being extremely hardened sceptic and said he would not believe Jesus came back to life unless he could see him and see the holes in his wounds in put his fingers through them, Foot when he saw Jesus he was terrified and became one of the most strongest believers after that moment. I believe the reason Jesus gave him the nickname twin was because he had a justifiable reasoning for feeling the way he did and he verbally made it known why he felt that way and really it was completely reasonable and logical and had no ignorance within it except for him saying he wanted to put his finger through the holes of the wounds. The 2nd prophecy saying that when the fullness of time had come God-sent forth his son born of a woman born under the law, I do believe this might have been a indication of something to happen spiritually sometime Around the end of days during revelation. Keep in mind there is supposed to be a woman who gives birth to a child that escaped the dragon, And is caught up with God to heaven, And is crowned with 12 stars . To me that sounds like the Virgin Mary. And the woman who is depicted as the whore of Babylon, Yes I understand it is a depiction of something that is not good but at the same time I have a hard time believing God would actually call any female a whore, Especially when he clearly used the word harlot and prostitute numerous times but all of a sudden is using the word whore and the words whoredom. It is a very filthy word and a very derogative labelling to give someone. Mind you let it be extremely clear to you that The Bible has been edited 20,000 times, That is exactly why yes you will made it written in The Bible that it was written to be corrected, Because those of good moral value and logical sense towards what's fair for all human beings and not just a select group or a select religion, Will get the gist of this and will understand. If our father in heaven is said to be of the most warm and incompassing Unconditional love, How can The Bible mention how he is apparently a jealous God or that he hates evil or hates any kind of person whatsoever as well as Jesus hating any kind of person. Who are we to city are actually say that it isn't possible for someone to have edited that into The Bible and that's completely true, But if someone is to believe that Jesus is too good for that then apparently that's ignorant and naive, Because personally to me that sounds like hypocrisy in its filthiest form, Especially when it comes to trying to insinuate that every single thing in The Bible is true especially when it's had a double take looking at it, And something that is contradicted towards Jesus or God is questioned because of the simple fact that yeshua and the father in heaven are said to be the highest and the holiest of all existence. Beings. Spot the same people who get upset and get hostile and hold your reputation for ransom if you even insinuate whatsoever that something in The Bible that was said about God was disrespectful to him, They get entirely upset and insinuate that you are so unworthy that it wouldn't be possible for you to actually be smart enough to figure that out before they did, As if this is some kind of competition in some kind of game at all, As if life is a game in general. Do you see all this hypocrisy? It's loud and clear how jealous Peter and some of the disciples were of Mary along time ago. If you take a look at the libra Constellation, it is same shape as a major, and there is a scorpio right at the front of this major looking shape facing it. Schnell revelations mentioned a woman who is about to give birth to a child and the dragon waits at her feet waiting to devour this child but the child eventually escapes and is caught up to heaven. The Feet at the bottom of the shape of Virgo meet with libra not directly but very closely. The birth of Jesus being December 25th is said to have been something that is not of 100% accurate data. It wasn't until centuries after he existed that this was chosen to be the one day he was born. Now I am not sitting here questioning anything I am simply reiterating the things I've researched. Now when it comes to cosmic events in the 9 month. It takes for a woman to develop a child I understand that and I understand how certain cosmic events have been very similar to this. But if you look 9 months after December 25th, It is September 25th. Does The Bible not say that when you're looking onto the throne of God that sapphire is at the summit? Sapphire is the birthstone of libras I think. My birthday is September 28th in sapphire is my birthstone. But also in September 16th the movement of the Virgo moon comes into the limelight. And lots of libras have attributes of virgos as well mixed into one. And the scales being one of the zodiac symbols is the only symbol that is not living. Now I do not believe in zodiac symbols nor do I believe in any of the descriptions of what each zodiac symbol is like as a person, But I know that I used to and I know plenty about it because you don't have to completely refuse to research something just because you don't believe in it. Because you never know

As a Catholic, I couldn't agree more. In some Catholic countries and communities, worship of Mary got dangerously out of hand. I certainly think it's alright to ask saints in heaven to pray for you, even if Scripture gives no examples - simply because we KNOW that saints are not dead but they are forever alive with God so it's no different than asking a living saint to pray. Even if it's not working as we imagine and for example they can't hear us - it's still hardly wrong to simply ask for prayer. And this is the official doctrine too - catholics shouldn't worship or pray to saints, vatican says. They should ask for prayer and maybe honour them in some generic sense, is all. But that doesn't change the fact, that there are MILLIONS of catholics who either don't know this, or couldn't care lessand they still worship and pray to Mary and other saints as if they were dieties. There are many songs and prayers about Mary and saints that are falso or straight blasphemy and should be forbidden but are allowed to continue. I've seen with my very eyes people bowing to Mary's paintings, giving their lives to her in official ceremonies and exhaulting her as saviour of humanity and my heart was bleeding in sadness every time. Church should not allow this to happen, and I pray it focuses more on these issues real soon.

      @@darkma1ice Wrong.
      1) Communication involves a back and forth exchange, we are not consulting nor speaking to them. And either way people in heaven are not dead, they are alive in Christ. The Bible tells us that those in Heaven have “eternal life” and that our God is the “God of the living and not the dead”. (John 3, Luke 20, Mark 12)
"I am the resurrection and the life; he who belives in me, though he die, yet shall he live" (Jn. 11:25)
The question is whether it is reasonable to assume that people in heaven can see what is happening on earth. The Bible certainly does not say otherwise. Do you have a quote from the bible that says that those who are in heaven cannot observe what happens on earth?
Revelation 8:4: "And the smoke of the incense of the prayers of the saints ascended up before God from the hand of the angel."
      2) Cleatly It's not the same. The prayers of those in heaven are more effective than those of our sinful brothers and sisters.
"Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man has great power to prevail." (James 5:16).
There is no one more righteous than those who are in heaven, especially Mary, mother of Jesus and called blessed in the Bible.
We ask Mary and the saints to pray for us, because their prayers are more effective. That's it.

➨INTERCESSION OF THE SAINTS: Rev 5:8 The prayers of the Saints are offered to Jesus the lamb.
➨ JOHN 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
➨The KING Honours his mother's request:
      ● 1 KINGS 2:20: Then she said, “I have one small request to make of you; do not refuse me.” And the king said to her, “Make your request, my mother, for I will not refuse you.”
(Jesus is the Greatest King and he also honours his mother's requests)

      ● 2 COR 5 v 8...Paul tells us that to be absent with the body is to be with the Lord.
      ● JOHN 11 v 25-26...Jesus said I am the ressurrection and the life, he who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives, believing in me will never die.
      ● MATTHEW 27: 52 -53: When Jesus was raised from the dead Many were raised up with him. 53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
      ● LUKE 1619-30 The story of the rich man and Lazarus show The Rich man, Lazarus and Abraham, all concious and interacting with each other even though they have physically died.
      ● LUKE 9:30-31 And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias:
31 Who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem.
(Moses & Elijah were alive, and were yalking with Jesus)
      ● REV 6:10 The souls of the martyrs are before the throne of God, crying out for justice. (they are conscious and actively petitioning God)
      ● HEB 12:1-3 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,
      ● MATT 17:1-13 ...At the Transformation of Jesus, he is seen speaking to Moses and Elijah, further showing that Holy ones of God are not among the dead.
➨HONOURING MARY: LUKE 1:48: All generations will call Mary Blessed. We Catholics are the ones who call her the BLESSED Virgin Mary and treat her accordingly.

God himself defined bowing/kneeling and worshipping as all equally bad - and that if you do both or any of these acts to anyone nor anything else, then it is a sin against God.
Catholics kept bowing and praying on wooden, metal, and stone idols of humans (beings/forms that dwelled on the earth) as well as using the rosary to pray - Jesus nor the apostles never taught any of these things. God is a spirit and so we should pray to Him in spirit.

    Question:
Why we should pray to mother Mary?
    Answer:
Why Pray to Mary? Because Jesus has given us his Blessed Mother as our great spiritual mother (Rev.12:17), a heavenly advocate who intercedes for us.
Some Christians will ask, “Why pray to Mary when we can go directly to Jesus?” And yet they have no problem asking others here on earth to pray for them, instead of simply and solely praying to Jesus on their own. Indeed, St. Paul says that God grants blessings “in answer to many prayers” (2 Cor. 1:11). And if the prayer of a righteous man on earth avails much with God (Jas. 5:16-18), how much more would prayers from one who has finished the race and now reigns with Christ in heaven?

And, now I know that place doesn't exist. We were taught that Mary was born without original sin. Scriptures say otherwise. We were taught that she was assumed body and soul into Heaven...no evidence of that. We were taught she is the EVER virgin...scripture says otherwise. So because a pope says it to be true, doesn't make it true. Then you have all of these apparitions. But only Catholics experience them. Not good Protestant Christians. Thank you for sharing your experiences and concerns. It's clear that you've put a lot of thought into your spiritual journey, and I respect the depth of your reflection. Engaging with your points as a Catholic, I hope to offer some perspectives that might illuminate why the Church teaches what it does and how these teachings connect with Scripture and Tradition.
Firstly, regarding the concept of Purgatory, the Church's teaching is not without scriptural basis. Purgatory is understood as a state of purification for those who die in God's grace but still need purification to enter into the fullness of God's presence. This concept is rooted in the understanding of God's holiness and the necessity of being pure to be in His presence. Scriptures such as 1 Corinthians 3:15, which speaks of being saved, but "as through fire" in the context of judgment, and 2 Maccabees 12:45-46, which talks about praying for the dead that they might be freed from sin, provide a scriptural foundation for this belief. While Purgatory is not explicitly named in Scripture, the Church sees these and other passages as indicative of a process of purification after death.
Regarding Mary's Immaculate Conception (her being born without original sin), this teaching is based on a theological understanding of Mary's role in the salvation history as the Mother of God. The angel Gabriel's greeting to Mary as "full of grace" (Luke 1:28) is seen as indicative of her special sanctity from the moment of her conception. This belief is not a negation of Scripture but an interpretation that sees Mary's unique role in salvation history as necessitating a special grace from God.
The Assumption of Mary-her being taken body and soul into Heaven-is not directly stated in Scripture, but it is a belief that has been part of Christian Tradition since the early centuries of the Church. It reflects the belief in the resurrection of the body and is seen as a sign of the hope of our own resurrection. The Church teaches that Mary, because of her unique role and her sinlessness, was assumed into heaven as the first fruits of the resurrection promised to all Christians.
As for Mary's perpetual virginity, the Church's interpretation of Scripture passages that mention Jesus' "brothers and sisters" is that these terms can also mean close relatives or kin, not necessarily biological siblings, which is consistent with the linguistic and cultural context of the time.
The experiences of apparitions and how they are understood within the Catholic faith are indeed more commonly reported among Catholics, which might reflect the particular ways that the Catholic tradition understands and interacts with the communion of saints and the spiritual realm. The Church is cautious in its recognition of apparitions and investigates them thoroughly before declaring them worthy of belief. These experiences are not considered essential to the faith but can enrich the spiritual lives of believers.
Your point about questioning doctrine based on papal authority reflects a broader question of how authority is understood within the Church. The Catholic Church views the Pope as a successor to Saint Peter, entrusted with a pastoral role to guide and sustain the faith of the Church in unity with the bishops. This understanding is rooted in Scripture, such as Matthew 16:18-19, where Jesus gives Peter the "keys of the kingdom of heaven."
In conclusion, I understand your concerns and the reasons for your departure from the Church. It's clear that these are not issues taken lightly, and the journey of faith is deeply personal and filled with questions. From a Catholic perspective, the teachings on Purgatory, Mary, and the authority of the Church are seen as deeply intertwined with the Scripture, Tradition, and the living faith of the community. These beliefs are held not to obscure the simplicity of faith in Christ but to enrich our understanding of God's love, mercy, and the mystery of salvation. I respect your journey and appreciate the opportunity to share these perspectives.

t is most significant here to note that “Adam” and “Eve” are revealed simply as “the man” and “the woman” before the woman’s name was changed to “Eve” (Hebrew, “mother of the living”) after the Fall (see Gen. 2:21ff). When we then look at the New Covenant, Jesus is explicitly referred to as the “last Adam,” or the “New Adam” in 1 Cor. 15:45. And Jesus himself indicates that Mary is the prophetic “woman” or “New Eve” of Genesis 3:15 when he refers to his mother as “woman” in John 2:4 and 19:26. Moreover, St. John refers to Mary as “woman” eight times in Revelation 12. As the first Eve brought death to all of her children through disobedience and heeding the words of the ancient serpent, the devil, the “New Eve” of Revelation 12 brings life and salvation to all of her children through her obedience. The same “serpent” who deceived the original woman of Genesis is revealed, in Revelation 12, to fail in his attempt to overcome this new woman. The New Eve overcomes the serpent, and as a result, “the serpent is angry with the woman, and went off to make war on the rest of her offspring, on those who keep the commandments of God, and bear testimony to Jesus” (Rev. 12:17).
If Mary is the New Eve and New Testament fulfillments are always more glorious than their Old Testament antecedents, it would be unthinkable for Mary to be conceived in sin. If she were, she would be inferior to Eve, who was created in a perfect state, free from all sin.

I am so thankful that these two men explained this with clarity with focus and with truth. I came upon this page after playing a segment in a video game, the video game is called "Kingdom Come Deliverance". It is a good game a very good game it is funny it is suspenseful it is the kind of game that you can immerse yourself into and spend time outside of your normal regular life. It's one of the reasons why some of us play video games so we can get away from the regular mundaneness of our lives. In the game you play as a young man named Henry who is brought up a simple blacksmith's son. As the game goes on he becomes a hero figure he rights wrongs and he does some things that are wrong in turn but he does them for the right reasons or in his eyesight or mindset it's for the right reasons. There comes a time in the game where he meets with someone who is a person who is having what she says are visions, not to tell the whole story but at one point she says that he has to repent for the wrong things that he's done. Now in theforgiveness

We can never love Mary more than Jesus did, she was her mom. We only adore God.
We don’t adore Mary. We love her, and we ask her prayers, which is no more worship than if I ask your prayers. We do honour her…and when we honour people, even sports heros, we’re not worshipping, just honouring them.
      Jesus loves and values Mary.
Perhaps this love that Jesus has for Mary may help you to feel more comfortable about her place in the Church.
The Gospel shows that Jesus was never ashamed of his mother :)

Jet Paronable the difference between me praying for you and Mary praying for you, is that she is gone now from this earth and doesn’t hear the prayers of saints. No person in Heaven can look down or hear you and me except God. Mary isn’t Jesus’ mother anymore either. Just as when I am in Heaven I won’t be my wife’s husband and she won’t be my wife. Those are earthly roles which don’t exist in Heaven.
Your mention about sports athletes I’m also very skeptical about, because I see them being worshipped every day. Men love to put them on a pedestal and wear their memorabilia regardless of who they are and how they live their lives. Hero worship is at large.

Jet Paronable actually if you read Matthew 12 Jesus did speak against Mary and his brothers who needed to be reminded of what Jesus came for. Here it is:
While Jesus was still talking to the crowd, his mother and brothers STOOD OUTSIDE, wanting to speak to him. 47 Someone told him, “Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you.”
48 He replied to him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” 49 Pointing to his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers. 50 For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”

4 REASONS YOU SHOULD NOT PRAY TO MARY
    1. THERE IS ONLY ONE MEDIATOR
1 Timothy 2:5 says, There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity-the man Christ Jesus.
This confirms we don’t need a “go-between.” We don’t need a middle-man (or woman) beyond Christ.
When Jesus died, shed His blood, and was raised from the dead the need to have someone (e.g. high priest) represent us was ripped away just like the curtain that tore from top to bottom.
    2. GOD ALONE SHOULD BE WORSHIPPED
Luke 4:8 says, Jesus replied, “The Scriptures say, ‘You must worship the Lord your God and serve only him.’”
Praying to Mary and/or any living or deceased saints is an act of worship…which is reserved for God alone.
When Jesus modeled prayer (Matthew 6:7-13) He began with, “Our Father in Heaven.” No where in Scripture is it suggested that we pray to Mary or any other deceased saints.
    3. MARY WORSHIPPED JESUS AS GOD
In Acts 1 the disciples and about 120 believers were in an upper room waiting for the promise of the Holy Spirit (at Jesus’ command). Guess who was present with them? Mary. What was she doing? Praying.
Acts 1:14 says, They all met together and were constantly united in prayer, along with Mary the mother of Jesus, several other women, and the brothers of Jesus.
It’s important to note that the apostles weren’t praying to Mary as a go between. She was joined with them in prayer…to GOD.
    4. MARY WAS A SINNER IN NEED OF A SAVIOR
According to Psalm 51:5 we are all born as sinners in need of a Savior, Mary included.
Mary was highly favored, not sinless. There is not one scripture to support that Mary was without sin. JESUS is the only one who never sinned (2 Corinthians 5:21, Hebrews 4:15, 1 Peter 2:22) which explains why Mary had to be impregnated by the Holy Spirit.
    Extras
    * The Bible is about JESUS, after all Jesus is the Living Word (John 1:14). The Old Testament points to JESUS. The New Testament is about Jesus. The authors of the four Gospels saw JESUS as the central figure and only mention Mary in reference to JESUS. The word “Jesus” is mentioned 1,478 times in the New Testament. The word “Mary” is only mentioned 55 times and some of those are in reference to Mary Magdalene. Also, Jesus is referenced in 26 of 27 New Testament books.
    * Mary can’t hear you. Only God can hear all of our prayers as He is the only one omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent.
    * Mary was not even recognized in Scripture as a leader in the early Church. Peter is the one who stood up, addressed the crowd, and preached in Acts 1, not Mary.
    * JESUS is the only Way, Truth, and Life. No one can come to the Father, except through JESUS.

Based on the other blog, the Rosary came to existence around 1214 A.D. only thru Saint Dominic given by Blessed Virgin Mary. Therefore, the Apostles and early Christianity do not have the practice of praying the Rosary. Christ Jesus did not teach his Apostles/Disciples about the Rosary prayer but instead, He taught them the "Lord's Prayer," as a simple and short prayer without repetition (babbling) as a guide pattern for our personal prayer to God. I truly love, respect, and honor Blessed Mary in a Biblical way (manner) as the surrogate mother of Christ Jesus humanity (Body/Flesh), but not the Divine Nature of Christ (LOGOS/WORD).
It is not appropriate to call Blessed Mary as the "Mother of GOD" for she has nothing to do with the Divine Nature of Christ (GOD) for the Son of God existed along with the Father God in His bosom and before Blessed Mary were even created/born. Therefore, "Mother of Jesus" or "Mother of Christ," is the right and appropriate title and acknowledgment for her, but not "Mother of GOD."
I also have a problem with the title "VIRGIN" attached to Blessed Mary... The bible stated by Mary herself, who said, "I will be called BLESSED among women." She did not say, "I will be called BLESSED VIRGIN among women." The original manuscript that was written and prophesied by Prophet Isaiah was "Ha Alma" which means "Young Maiden/girl." The word maiden/girl does not always necessarily mean to be virgin, based on the bible... Remember the only daughter of Jacob, after Dinah was raped, she was still called "Ha Alma" (Maiden), as a young girl without a husband.
God the father just needs a "Full of Grace" young girl (Ha Alma) who happens to be a virgin at that time without a husband yet, (only betrothal/fiancee) when the visitation of Angel Gabriel occurred to ask her own permission (freewill) whether she will accept or reject the task given to her by GOD, to use her WOMB as a vessel to carry the Humanity (Flesh/Body) for the Son of GOD. in modern terminology, it is called, 'SURROGATE MOTHER."... Why is it so?
In Hebrew 10:5 (paraphrased) Christ said, "a PREPARED BODY (flesh) was created for me by my Father." In this sense, there was no fertilization of the Egg of Mary by the Holy Spirit to create the Flesh of Christ Jesus. It was already a prepared body by God the Father long before Mary was born. It was placed by GOD the "Prepared Body" (most likely perhaps a 3 to 7 days old fetus) to Mary's womb. In modern technology today, it is proven to be successfully possible to implant a fetus to a surrogate mother, the same way what GOD have done 2000 years ago in Israel.
Now, regarding the "PERPETUAL (Forever) VIRGINITY of Blessed Mary," the Bible does not support that because according to the scripture, St. Joseph himself attested and said, "I never knew my wife (Mary) until (after) Christ Jesus was born and called HIm Jesus" (paraphrase Matt. 1:25)_. The word "KNEW" was a modest way of stating a "Marital Sexual Consummation" relationship between husband and wife... Therefore, regardless of whether Blessed Mary has other children, (which is debatable) the fact supported by the Bible, was that her virginity was gone after Christ Jesus was born... To deny this Biblical narration by St. Joseph means the Bible is wrong and lied to us.
Regarding, ASSUMPTION of Blessed Mary which means she did not taste death, for her body was taken by the Angels in Heaven as a doctrine of Catholic was also not supported by the Bible.
Why? First, it was not written in the scripture, and second, is it odd, that Apostle John who happens to be the caregiver of Blessed Mary did not even write a single letter/epistle or document to prove the Assumption of Blessed Mary?... How come Apostle John did not even recognize in Revelation 12, the woman clothed with the Sun with a crown of 12 stars on her head? Why John did not recognize the Woman as Blessed Mary? Apostle John should have written, "A mystery in Heaven, I (John) saw Blessed Mary clothed with the Sun with a crown of 12 stars on her head." But it was not written that way because the woman was not truly Blessed Mary, for the woman symbolized as a Nation like Israel (People (Jews) of GOD) or perhaps Church of GOD (Christians) but definitely not Blessed Mary.
Another thing, the title "IMMACULATE CONCEPTION (without original sin) of Blessed Mary," was not also supported by the Holy Scripture (Bible). The word "FULL OF GRACE" does not mean without original sin for St. Stephen was also called Full of Grace with Power, yet he tasted death from stoning... In Luke 1:46-49 (paraphrase) Blessed Mary said and proclaimed, "My (Mary) soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in GOD, my SAVIOR." It is very clear from her own statement, that Blessed Mary acknowledged that she needs a Savior... A person who is "SINLESS" does not need a Savior. In Roman 3:23 (paraphrase) it says, "For ALL have sinned and fall short of the Glory of GOD." It did not say, "except Blessed Mary, all sinned and fall short in the Glory of GOD." To deny this written scripture that ALL (no exception/all human) sinned and fall short means the Bible is a fraud, incorrect, wrong, and lied to us...
Lastly, the titles "Queen of Heaven" and "Queen of Peace", this titles were nowhere to be found in the Bible. From Isaiah 9:6 (paraphrase) Christ Jesus was called the "Prince of Peace." Now, if Blessed Mary is truly the Queen of Peace as the Catholic proclaimed, logically speaking, it only follows to show that Blessed Mary is higher than Christ Jesus, for a Queen is higher in position or rank than a Prince... That is why the "Queen of Peace" nor the "Queen of Heaven" are not appropriate titles for Blessed Mary, biblically speaking... Amen.

Scripture elsewhere speaks of the “the assembly of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven” and “the spirits of just men made perfect” (Heb. 12:23, emphasis added). Given their heavenly perfection in Jesus, which would include perfection in charity and thus concern for their brothers and sisters in Christ on earth (see 1 Cor. 2:12-26), we should not be surprised that Scripture presents these holy men and women of heaven bringing our prayers to Jesus the Lamb (Rev. 5:8), and that from the early Church onward Christians have asked the intercession of the saints who have gone before them to heaven.
In this light, we see that the saints-as faithful disciples of Jesus-are his collaborators, not his competitors in interceding for us. Consequently, because Mary is the Mother of God and the disciple par excellence (see Luke 1:28, 38), we should not be surprised that she is our preeminent intercessor among the angels and saints.

Catholicism is essentially a syncretic religion on its own. It's a mixture of Christianity and ancient pagan goddess worship and pantheism. The Catholic church fathers tried to get pagans to accept Christ by elevating Mary to the position of a goddess, and that's why they called her the Queen of Heaven and taught the pagans that their pagan gods were saints who were now in heaven.

My very faithful grandfather said it was good for little girls to have a lady to go to and he gave me rosary beads and a little statue of her to pray in front of. I am horrified now that I did that.
Did you know that rosary beads weren't originally a Catholic idea. They were introduced by merchants who sold them to other religions also to make money. In Islam they have prayer beads. We know that God is not impressed by repetitive prayer, but prayers from the heart. He asks you to throw your anxieties on him: Philippians 4:6-9.

Matthew 6:5-8 tells us how to pray (NRSV):
"And whenever you pray, do not be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, so that they may be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward.6 But whenever you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.[b]
7 “When you are praying, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard because of their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him."
Lord Jesus then goes on to show us the model prayer for an idea of how to address our Father, but we know it's not the repetitive words he wants, but us speaking to Him individually. He also tells us afterwards about forgiveness of others before we expect forgiveness from Him. So what is in your heart is vital too.

Don't say that citing the Holy Rosary is the VAIN repetition that God prohibits. It contains the Lord's Prayer from Luke 11:2-4, and the Hail Mary which is in Luke 1:28,42. Do you consider citing these again and again a vain repetition? Is saying these biblical words vain? I don't think so.

I am a Catholic. And I freely acknowledge there can be found some excessive devotion to Mary or the saints, but in those instances, it is because the Catholic teaching isn't taught very well. Now, if I were to follow your logic, then there is no need for corporate prayer for specific needs. We don't need to have someone with cancer call on the church for prayer, or even a close friend or pastor if we don't want to make our needs public. All we need to do is pray to Jesus. We don't even need to pray to the Spirit because He knows our needs even better than we know them ourselves. But that violates the clear teaching in scripture where we are admonished to pray for one another. God created us not just for our relationship with Him, but also for a relationship with one another. We are the Body of Christ and cannot say that one part doesn't need another part. The dead in Christ, are also members of the [one] Body of Christ. There is not a Body of Christ in heaven and another Body of Christ on earth. The members Body of Christ in heaven are in a superior position to those of us on earth in that they stand in the very presence of the Father. Revelation 5:8 shows us that the saints in heaven offer up the prayers of the saints on earth as a fragrant incense. So there is nothing unscriptural or inappropriate for us to ask Mary or any of the saints in heaven to intercede with us for our needs.

    • @fredrolinners8903
      @fredrolinners8903 3 года назад +3

We can have others pray 'for" us but they are not to pray "to" us.
Revelation 5:8 does not teach that prayer is to be made unto anyone else besides God. First of all, nothing states or teaches that the 28 (4 living creatures and 24 elders) fully know the hearts from which these these prayers sprang forth and nowhere does it affirm that those on the earth communicated with the 28. Furthermore, we see in the Old Testament that Samuel presented to the Lord (in prayer) what the people had already spoken in His hearing (1 Samuel 8:21; cf. 1 Chronicles 28:8). That angels present prayers to God doesn't mean they are addressed in prayer anymore than when Samuel heard the words of the people and addressed them to God that Samuel was being prayed to. God already knew what was spoken in both instances even before they were spoken (Psalm 139:4; cf. Ezekiel 11:5).

@@fredrolinners8903 1. The word pray has multiple definitions. In the old sense of the word, to pray can also mean to ask - "Pray tell" or "Pray thee, my lord". In this sense of the word, I can pray to Mary to ask her intercession to be joined with my own intercession for some issue - a better job, healing of a dire illness, etc. In that context, the prayer is not a statement of worship, i.e. making Mary divine. The teaching of the Catholic Church is clear, worship and adoration is due to God alone. Mary is a creature, albeit a highly favored creature, but creature none the less. The Church gives us 3 words to explain the adoration and veneration that is appropriate - Latria is worship that is due to God alone. Dulia is veneration that is appropriate to the saints, and hyperdulia (an elevated form of veneration) is appropriate to Mary. You might want to study the explanation of those as provided by the Church to better understand the differences. However, suffice it to say, that Catholics do not worship Mary or the saints, we ask for their intercession in the same way we would ask for one anothers intercession.
      2. Your explanation of Revelation 5:8 ignores the fact that the prayers of the faithful on earth are passing through the hands of the saints in heaven. Your claim that the bible doesn't explicitly teach that those receiving the prayers know the hearts of the people on earth praying can only be an extension of the mistaken and erroneous Protestant doctrine of Sola Scriptura. That is probably the subject of a whole debate in and of itself, however, Sola Scriptura is fallacious on its face as it is self-refuting. Nowhere is scripture, do you find scripture telling us that only scripture is to be used as truth. In fact, in I Timothy 3:14-15, we are told that it is the Church, not scripture, which is the pillar and bulwark of truth. Catholics believe that everything contained in scripture is true, but not everything that is true is necessarily found in scripture. We believe that Sacred Tradition and the teaching office of the Magisterium are also essential to the full understanding of scripture.
      3. As to whether or not folks in heaven are aware of or interested in or invested in what is happening on earth, I'd refer you to a couple of examples of exactly that: 28 Now about eight days after these sayings he took with him Peter and John and James, and went up on the mountain to pray. 29 And as he was praying, the appearance of his countenance was altered, and his raiment became dazzling white. 30 And behold, two men talked with him, Moses and Eli′jah, 31 who appeared in glory and spoke of his departure, which he was to accomplish at Jerusalem. (Luke 9:28-31 RSVCE) and: 27 “He answered, ‘Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my family, 28 for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.’

The most common objection I get to Mary as Mother of God, especially from Fundamentalists, but not limited to them, is, “The words ‘Mother of God’ are nowhere to be found in the Bible. Therefore, I will not accept it as true.”
This line of reasoning fails in dramatic fashion when carried to its logical conclusion when we consider the central mystery of the Christian Faith, the Trinity, is not found in Scripture verbatim as well. And we could go on. The Incarnation would fall by the wayside. Essential terms we use to do theology, like homoousios (Gr.-same nature, Jesus has the “same nature” as his Father), hypostatic union, the circumincessions of the persons of the Blessed Trinity, etc. All gone! The canon of Scripture, the nature of the sacrament of Holy Matrimony, and so much more we believe as Christians would be out the door because none of these things are made explicit in Scripture.
And this is not to mention “justification by faith alone.” Can anyone agree there is just a bit of irony in the fact that the same fellow who tells me he will not accept Mary as “Mother of God” because those words “are not found in the Bible,” will accept justification by faith alone when the only time those words are found in the Bible the words “not by” are right in front of them (cf. James 2:24)? #catholic

Mary is the Ark of the New Covenant, The Woman of Revelation, The NT Gebirah/Queen Mother and the Daughter of Zion that is why we pray for her protection and intercession. This is why Mary is the mother of the church. She gave birth to the Lord God Jesus - The Mystical Body of Christ i.e. the church. She plays a special role in the church. Intercessory prayers are instructed by St. Paul in 1 TIMOTHY 2:1. What does EPHESIANS 6:18 says? MAKING SUPPLICATION FOR ALL THE SAINTS ! The Bible is clear that Mary’s unique position as the mother of Jesus did not give her any more access to God than another believer in Christ is given. Therefore, Mary is not worthy of receiving prayers from Christians. Jesus addressed this in Luke 11 by emphasizing that it’s more blessed to be a follower of Christ than to be the mother of Christ.

In Luke 11, Jesus freed an afflicted man by driving out the demon that made him mute. Once Jesus cast the demon away, the man could speak again, and the watching crowd was amazed (Luke 11:14). Some of the crowd questioned Jesus, even suggesting Jesus was operating by power of Satan. As Jesus then started to preach to the crowd, a woman called out, “Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you!” (Luke 11:27). Jesus replied to her, ammending, not scolding, saying, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it” (Luke 11:28).

What we must realize is Mary leads us to Christ. She always has and had. I ask you all, have you ever asked someone to pray for you? Or have you ever prayed for someone? If so, you are doing what Mary is. To pray doesn't mean worship, yet to talk to. When I pray for you, I speak to God for you. Us Catholics believe that Mary (and like everyone else in heaven) is still alive. As Christ says "they are with him in paradise". We believe tho that they still care about us and pray for us. If you read the bible, Moses is seen praying for his people in heaven. So when we speak to Mary, we ask her to pray for us. Keep in mind, she is one of the greatest followers of Christ. So great that on the cross, he titled her our mother. You don't have to ask for her help, but that is equivalent to not wanting anyone to pray for you. Just silly.

Yeah I agree but where do we draw the line? Most catholics and people in the catholic church literally pray to mary and put their faith in her and treat her as if she is on the same level of Christ which isn’t biblical. Mary was also a sinner who needed a savior who is Jesus Christ

@Pablo Moran I'd say it's how much one knows. The more one knows, the more important something is to someone. For example. Most Christians don't know what Fatima was. Many Catholics do. Why many Catholics resort to Mary is because she offers humanity many graces. These graces lead to God. When it comes to Mary, she is the sinless one. That doesn't mean perfect tho. She is praised bc she is the greatest disciple. I truly don't think anyone worships her. And if they do, that is against Catholic teaching. After all, the bible teaches that she is the Queen of heaven. To honor the queen, is to be led to honor the king

@@brocklesnar2643 first off, never do i say anything about mary being our salvation. Nor does the church teach that we should rely on mary to save us. Only Christ through his grace can save us. I am unsure where you're getting the "pray to mary so she can save us" myth. Now what I am saying is that the bible reveals to us that Saints (Like Mary) can pray for us. Let me explain where in the bible it states that saints pray for us. Resort to Revelation 5:8. This is what it says "And when he had taken it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of God’s people". To explain this, this revelation takes sight in heaven. The elders are saints who take bowls of prayers (from Gods people), and offer it to God. Now you may ask, why are these elders giving the prayers to God? Simple. James 5:16 states "the prayers of a righteous man availeth much". This means that those who are in favor with God and follow Him closely are heard with more results. So it makes sense that those in heaven (who are righteous and most pleasing to God) are strong in their prayers for humanity. When we ask a saint/elder to pray for us, they take our prayers to God "with much availeth). Keep in mind who these prayers are going to. To God Himself. Saints cant do anything but pray for us. Only God can listen to them and has the authority to save us or not. I say this boldly that saints cannot save us. Only God can. But saints are our biggest fans. They cheer us on and try their best to help us. Anything a saint can do is determined by what God allows them to do. Lastly my friend, i am not making my own bible. What I am stating has been states by 1. Christ Himself, 2. by the church Christ Himself has established (Matthew 16:18) and 3. By the authority that Christ gave his church to teach (Matthew 16:19). The catholic church established the bible. She has the authority to do that. Just look up how the bible was made. The same people who established the bible are better than any preacher in interpreting what scripture means. The only way you could possibly prove my argument wrong is to prove my interpretations of Revelation 5:8 is wrong. All I can say is good luck with that because even before the bible did the Jews believe in praying to saints. Jesus Himself even talks about it in a story He gave Luke 16:19-31. Can you prove that Jesus did not say someone prayed to Abraham in this story? Again, good luck. Until you can prove any of the facts i stated wrong, you will remain sadly mistaken.

Many Protestants will insist that this text is little more than a common greeting of the archangel Gabriel to Mary. “What does this have to do with Mary being without sin?” Yet, the truth is, according to Mary herself, this was no common greeting. The text reveals Mary to have been “greatly troubled at the saying and considered in her mind what sort of greeting this might be” (Luke 1:29). What was it about this greeting that was so uncommon for Mary to react this way? We can consider at least two key aspects.
First, according to biblical scholars (as well as Pope John Paul II), the angel did more than simply greet Mary. The angel actually communicated a new name or title to her (see Redemptoris Mater 8,9). In Greek, the greeting was kaire, kekaritomene, or “hail, full of grace.” Generally speaking, when one greeted another with kaire, a name or title would be found in the immediate context. “Hail, king of the Jews” in John 19:3 and “Claudias Lysias, to his Excellency the governor Felix, greeting” (Acts 23:26) are two biblical examples of this.
The fact that the angel replaces Mary’s name in the greeting with “full of grace” was anything but common. This would be analogous to me speaking to one of our tech guys at Catholic Answers and saying, “Hello, he who fixes computers.”
In Hebrew culture, names and name changes tell us something permanent about the character and calling of the one named. Just recall the name changes of Abram to Abraham (from “father” to “father of the multitudes”) in Genesis 17:5, Saray to Sarah (“my princess” to “princess”) in Genesis 17:15, and Jacob to Israel (“supplanter” to “he who prevails with God”) in Genesis 32:28.

Thank you for bringing up this quote from St. Bernardine of Siena and expressing your concerns about it. It's important to discuss these matters openly and to seek a deeper understanding of our faith practices and expressions. Let me clarify the Catholic perspective on Mary and the nature of the devotion given to her, particularly in light of the quote you've mentioned.
Firstly, it's essential to understand the distinction the Catholic Church makes between worship (latria), which is due to God alone, and veneration (dulia), which is given to the saints. Mary is given the highest level of veneration, called hyperdulia, due to her unique role as the Mother of God (Theotokos), but this is not equivalent to the worship that is reserved for God.
The language used by St. Bernardine of Siena and other saints in their devotional expressions can sometimes seem hyperbolic or excessive when viewed without the context of this theological distinction. These expressions of deep love and veneration for Mary and the saints are rooted in their exemplary faith and closeness to God, which inspire us to follow their example in our own journey toward holiness.
When St. Bernardine of Siena refers to Mary as the "dispenser of all graces," it's important to understand this in the context of Catholic teaching on Mary's unique cooperation in the work of salvation. The Church teaches that Mary, by her "fiat" (her yes to God's will at the Annunciation), played a unique and unrepeatable role in the history of salvation. This does not mean that grace originates from Mary, but rather that she is a unique instrument through which God chose to bring grace into the world, most notably through giving birth to Jesus Christ, who is the source of all grace.
The phrase "the grace of salvation can come only through thy hands" reflects a deep theological reflection on Mary's role in salvation history, not a literal assertion that Mary is the source of salvation. Salvation comes from Christ alone, but Mary's role as Mother of God and her exemplary faith make her a powerful intercessor for us in heaven. The Church encourages devotion to Mary because her life points us to Jesus, and her intercessions are believed to be effective because of her close relationship with her Son.
Therefore, when Catholics express devotion to Mary or ask for her intercession, it is not an act of worship but an acknowledgment of her unique role in the economy of salvation and her exemplary faith. It is always understood that Mary, like all saints, points us towards God and helps us to grow closer to Him.
The Catholic Church encourages the faithful to approach Mary and the saints with the understanding that all devotion ultimately leads to God, who is the source of all grace and mercy. The saints, and Mary in particular, are seen as models of faith and intercessors who can pray for us, much like we ask our friends and family to pray for us. This practice enriches our spiritual lives by reminding us of the great cloud of witnesses who have gone before us and encouraging us to live lives of holiness and devotion.

Asking her to pray for you, is a form of praying. It's not like when you ask others to pray for you. Catholics see Mary in an exalted position.

Every year on December 8 we celebrate the feast of the Immaculate Conception. That day we, as Catholics, celebrate the fact that Mary was conceived without Original Sin. This is not the day that we celebrate the conception of Jesus, as many often confuse it for. That event we celebrate on March 25, the Feast of the Annunciation, which happens to be nine months before Christmas.
Digging down a bit deeper, the doctrine of the Immaculate Conception was promulgated by Pope Pius IX in 1854. It means that Mary was preserved from Original Sin by the graces won by Christ on the Cross on Good Friday almost 50 years after her conception. Talk about time travel! That simply means that the graces that Christ won on the Cross are not limited to linear time as we see it. God exists outside of time, in “the eternal nunc” or “eternal now” as St. Thomas Aquinas would say. So He can use the graces won by Christ on the Cross at one point in time and apply them to points in the past or future, as we know that He does.
Also, a mere four years after Pius IX proclaimed the doctrine, in 1858, Our Lady appeared in a small grotto in Lourdes, France to St. Bernadette. It was only once our Lady told Bernadette “I am the Immaculate Conception” that she was able to convince her parish priest that the women she was seeing was in fact the Blessed Virgin Mary.
We not only say that Mary was conceived without Original Sin, we also that she never sinned in her life. But we are all cleansed of Original Sin in our baptisms, some of us at a very early age. Yet, we still sin after that. Thus, one might ask: Why is it that if we have been truly cleansed of Original Sin we still commit personal sin yet Mary did not?
The reason that we still sin is called concupiscence. Concupiscence is defined by the “Catechism of the Catholic Church” as “the movement of the sensitive appetite contrary to the operation of the human reason” (CCC 2515). Put simply, it is the desire to do something that our reason tells us is wrong. It is the disordering of our bodily or sub-rational desires above our rational desires. And when we give in to that disordered-ness, we sin.
St. Paul describes it in Romans 7:19 “I do not do the good I want, but I do the evil I do not want” and Jesus refers to it in the Gospels of Matthew (26:41) and Mark (14:38) when He says “The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
Concupiscence is a consequence of Original Sin. You could say it’s like a scar that remains even after we’ve been healed of it. Whereas, since Mary never suffered from it, she does not have the scar.
Another way I have heard it described, Mary was saved from falling into the hole that is Original Sin, while we were saved by being pulled out. Hence, the consequences of falling into the hole, still exist for us.
One might then ask if Mary was ever tempted. Scripture does not record any instance of this, but it would not be a problem if she was. The difference would be that any temptation she felt would have come from outside of her. Since she does not have concupiscence, she would not be tempted in the way we are, by our own physical desires. Her reason would have perfect control over them. Instead, she may have been tempted by outside forces, like Satan.
We know that Jesus experienced temptations from Satan, and he was without Original Sin or concupiscence. Also, Adam and Eve experienced temptation from Satan despite being originally without sin or concupiscence (pun intended).
But where Adam and Eve failed, Christ and the Blessed Mother succeeded. They did not give in to the temptations of Satan and are hence called the new Adam and the new Eve. #catholic. #truth CATHOLICS ARE THE ONLY RELIGION FOUNDED BY JESUS CHRIST.. AND THE ONLY CHRISTIANS THAT CAN TEACH DOCTRINE DEFINITIVELY...

    • @mtello98
      @mtello98 2 года назад

@@PickmeshaJones That is a great question!
      Let’s take a look…
Normally I would of taken a few scriptures off the top of my head which speak of Our Lady interceding for God’s people but I want to applaud this video for pointing one of them out already! They quote Our Lady in the book of John by saying “do whatever he tells you.” Any learned Christian here would know that this is coming from the wedding at Cana.
Now, let’s back up a few verses and read how Our Lady contributed to Christ’s first public miracle. Our Lady says: “they have no wine.” She has realized a need of the people, and greatly desires to bring it to her son. We both agree, Mary is not divine… But she knows her son is😄 (this is key BTW)
Christ then responds with: “Oh woman, what have you to do with me? My hour has not yet come.” So Christ here seems to be rebuking Mary. Which in all fairness is not a bad interpretation of that verse. But Our Lady instead of staying quiet and keeping to herself, tells the servants will full confidence, “do whatever he tells you.” Our Lady knew that her son would provide what she had asked for! This, and many other scriptures can point to Our Lady’s importance.
Let’s talk about “mediator” really quick. Protestants tend to use mediator and intercesor interchangeably when trying to refute Catholic teaching. Unfortunately this is a problem because the biblical definition of mediator is the one who pays all debts. Sound familiar? It’s Jesus, plain and simple!
There is no other mediator between God and man.
Now let us make the distinction for intercession. What Our Lady does at the wedding at Cana is the very definition of intercession. In other words. Besides Jesus, no one is closer to God than Mary. She brings our supplications to her son not because she is divine and a goddess, but because he is HER SON! We don’t have that kind of relationship with him! We can strive to all we want, but unless we want the Holy Spirit to make us the God Bearer, and have to worry about our son being persecuted, and having that worry come to fruition at the cross… let’s just remember the hard part for Jesus and Mary is over! All we have to do as Christians is repent believe and be baptized. Seems like an easy choice to make wouldn’t you agree?
Mary brings us Christ incarnate. Therefore Mary brings us Christ in the most perfect way. Union with Mary, means union with Christ. It doesn’t get any easier than that.
Hope this helps and answers your initial question and maybe answered a few others! God bless and have a great day!

What’s in a name? According to Scripture, quite a lot.
St. Luke uses the perfect passive participle, kekaritomene, as his “name” for Mary. This word literally means “she who has been graced” in a completed sense. This verbal adjective, “graced,” is not just describing a simple past action. Greek has another tense for that. The perfect tense is used to indicate that an action has been completed in the past, resulting in a present state of being. “Full of grace” is Mary’s name. So what does it tell us about Mary? Well, the average Christian is not completed in grace and in a permanent sense (see Phil. 3:8-12). But according to the angel, Mary is. You and I sin, not because of grace, but because of a lack of grace, or a lack of our cooperation with grace, in our lives. This greeting of the angel is one clue into the unique character and calling of the Mother of God. Only Mary is given the name “full of grace,” and in the perfect tense, indicating that this permanent state of Mary was completed.

The Hail Mary is right out of the bible. “Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with you,” Luke 1:28. Elizabeth’s response to Mary in the visitation (“Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb,” Luke 1:42) And then Elizabeth says: And why has this happened to me, that the mother of my Lord comes to me? Lk:1:44 So even in the Bible Mary is seen as the Mother of the Son of God.

Alana H exactly I used to be catholic and after reading the bible I realized it was Wrong!!! No where in the bible does it say HAIL Mary, when her cousin referred ro her as the mother od her lord is because Jesus is Lord but Mary is not the mother of God. God has no mother Jesus is the word of God which existed since the beginning. Mary was only the vessel used for virgin birth. She was the mother of Jesus the physical body not Jesus God. Mary points out in the bible she is a bind servent of God and he is her saviour. Jesus made clear separations between her and him that they do not have a special bond because he is God incarnate he doesn't have a mother.

Luke 1:28 "And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women."
Luke 1:42 "And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb."
Luke 1:43 "And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?"
46 And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,
47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.
48 For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.
Looks like the hail Mary to me, and looks like Mary is the mother of "My Lord" whom she herself prays to as "God my Saviour."

    • @92118

Alana H yea it doesn't say hail mary. When catholics say hail mary they mean it as worship. Hail means to describe someone who is good. The angel makes it clear that she has found favor in Gods eyes. He didnt worship mary, he goes on to talk and glorifies Jesus who will be born of her

MARY'S INTERCESSORY POWER: THE PRAYER OF A DIVINE WOMAN:
Catholics love to ask for the saints intercession and no Saint is called upon more often than mary, the mother of Jesus, Mary is loved almost universally.
Just about every catholic has some sort of devotion to her, making her by far the most popular Saint to whom to pray in times of need. However this raises some questions for us: why is she so special? Why is her intercession sought so much more than that of all the other saints.
    QUEEN MOTHER:
To understand what I mean we have to go back to the old testament, example let's see the case of solomon, david was the husband to bathsheba, and bathsheba would now down to him and call him my lord(1 king 1:17,31) but her position changed after solomon her son ascended the throne. When solomon became king,he bowed down to her and gave her a seat at his right side, indicating her royal authority (1 king 2:19).
It may seem strange to us that the queen was the king's mother instead of his wife, during the time ancient isrealites kings had many wives so they couldn't choose just one as their queen. However they only had one mother and choosing her solved the problem.
Morever the queen mother served as a link between the current king and his predecessor. As one of the former king's wives, she legitimated her son's reign by proving he was the son of his predecessor. As a result the king's mother held a very important position in ancient Israel, one outmatched by anyone else.
    THE QUEEN'S INTERCESSION:
Solomon was unable to refuse his mother's request even though bathsheba asked for something wrong he could never say no
    THE NEW QUEEN MOTHER:
What does this have to do with Mary? Simply put she is our new queen mother, when we say Christ is our king, we mean he is our davidic king (ezekiel 37:24-25), when the angel Gabriel told Mary that she'd be the mother of the Messiah, he identifies his royalty as that of david (luke 1:32).
Even when mary visited elizabeth, elizabeth's reaction was difficult to explain as the unborn john leaped for joy sighting the mother of God
    THE NEW QUEEN'S INTERCESSION:
Mary's intercession is so powerful because she's our queen mother and the king will never refuse the queen. Just like solomon Jesus will never refuse his mother,we actually see this play out in the new testament. In the famous story of the wedding at cana(John 2:3-11),in this passage Christ didn't wish to help out, but he acquiesced and granted his mother's request simply because she asked for it.
This proves mary as the most powerful intervessor with her son, the most powerful one there is,as the mother of Christ,we should take advantage of her motherly intercession as often as we can.

You read The Holy Bible and will find The Mother being called "favoured among women" again "Blessed are you among women". If God almighty so favoured her why do you find so hard to even respect her. Even after you find those words in Bible. Whom do you think in the whole of Bible who just followed the word of God "most" closely... You will not find another figure.... If you people throng in thousands to get prayers and blessing and healings from certain popular pastors and most of you believe that his prayer worked for you.. How much more powerful will The mother's prayer be for you... Don't say saints and Mother as deceased... Only the body and not the spirit... The spirit lives... When Jesus projected her as " This is your mother" Any body can understand the importance that Jesus gives to her. Try to read Bible only after praying to Holy spirit and don't read Bible to gain knowledge , self defence and arguments.... You will eventually lose if that is the case.... God bless all

Not the same thing. You don’t ask your friend in the Spirit, or across dimensions, you walk up to them. There is no biblical evidence to support prayer to anyone other than Christ; and honestly I doubt that Mary, after having to watch her son die horribly, would be too happy about people praying to her rather than her Lord after what He went through for us. I love Mary, but she’s a woman, a mortal woman. Peace be with you in Jesus name. Amen.

Let the man who has never asked his mother to intercede for him with his own father answer the question!
Have you ever wondered why you do not "pray" (to use your term) the Virgin Mary ?
Have you ever considered that it is beyond the ignominy of your human intelligent to answer the question correctly given the incompatibility of your mind in your current state of sin compared to the omniscience of divine and perfect intelligence ?
Has it ever occurred to you that the reason that you do not worship the Mother, Daughter, and Spouse of God is because she asked the Eternal Father that she not overshadow your worship and praise of her Most Loving and Divine Son, our Redeemer and Judge?
And did you not contemplate that this most favored creation of God, who provided you with God Himself through her, might have been been someone or something so profound to your understanding that only those gifted with the Holy Spirit might begin to understand her ?
The Eternal Father, Holy Spirit, and Incarnate Word desire that you embrace Her as His most perfect creation from whom you should model your own life in your love and suffering! Instead, you would rather debate her in the most simplistic and humanistic of terms!
    ___
"My dearest daughter, how far removed is worldly wisdom from the admirable operations of the divine power in these sacraments of the Incarnation of the divine Word in my womb! Flesh and blood cannot reach them, and not the angels and seraphim, though they be of the highest; nor can they know mysteries so deeply hidden and so far above the ordinary course of grace. Praise thou, my beloved, the Lord for them with incessant love and thankfulness. Be thou not any longer slow in understanding the greatness of his divine love and his readiness to benefit his friends and dear ones, whom He desires to elevate from the dust and enrich in diverse manners. As soon as thou hast penetrated into this truth, it will oblige thee to thank Him and incite thee to undertake the great things, that become a most faithful daughter and spouse.
And in order that thou mayest dispose thyself and be inspired so much the more, I remind thee, that the Lord often says these same words to his chosen ones: “Revertere, revertere, ut intueamur te.” For He derives just as great pleasure from their deeds, as when a father rejoices in his beloved and well-behaved son, whom he looks upon many times with great affection; or as an artist, when he beholds with pride the perfect works of his hands; or as a king, who inspects the rich city, which he has added to his dominions; or as one, who is pleased with his much beloved friend. There is only this difference: the Most High finds incomparably more delight than all these in the souls, which He has chosen for his blessings; and in proportion as they dispose themselves and advance in virtue, the Lord also multiplies his favors and benefits. If the mortals, that attain to the light of faith, would enter into this truth, they would, merely on account of this complacence of the Almighty in their good deeds, not only preserve themselves from sin, but they would zealously engage in great works until death and eagerly show their loving servitude to Him, who is so liberal in rewarding, and so generous in his favors.
When, on this eighth day which thou hast described, the Lord in heaven spoke to me these words: “Revertere, revertere,” asking me to turn toward Him and allow the celestial spirits to look upon me; I was made aware, that the pleasure, which his divine Majesty derived in beholding me, by itself exceeded all the delight and complacency, which He ever derived from all the most saintly souls in the height of their sanctity. In his gracious condescension He was more pleased in me than in all the Apostles, Martyrs, Confessors, Virgins and all the rest of the saints. And this pleasure and complacency of the Most High overflowed and enriched my spirit with such an influx of grace and participation of the Divinity, that thou canst neither understand nor explain it as long as thou art in the mortal flesh. But I tell thee of this hidden mystery, in order that thou mayest bless its Author, and that, while yet thy exile from the fatherland continues, thou dispose and exert thyself in my place and name to extend and reach out thy hands to great things (Prov, 31, 19). Give to the Lord the satisfaction expected of thee, and strive after it, thus earning his blessings and soliciting them for thyself and thy neighbor with perfect charity."

The Apostles and St Elizabeth called the Blessed Mother "Mother".
Christ referred to His Mother as "Woman" because that title applies as two bookends to Sacred Scripture.
A woman was created and she sinned. Another woman was then foretold of in Genesis who would be born at enmity with Satan. She would give birth to the male Child who would crush the head of Satan as Satan wounds His Heel.
      Genesis 3:15
"And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; He will crush your head, and you will strike His Heel.'
The "woman" reappears as a pregnant Queen Mother in Revelation who continues to protect the future children of God:

In the last few hundred years of our 6-7 thousand years of Biblical history has had this (above teaching) and other teachings come into power adding new ways to God and new religions. If you have a good Biblical understanding of the basic Bible you must ask yourself where in all scriptures did Jesus or any other Bible story/letter or prophecy talk about praying to anyone other than God through Christ our Lord and Savior. You will like other religions need to seek other writings. Other writings that some human added as he or she gained some spiritual knowledge thus adding to what has been told and taught to us in the Bible. When he told his father Jacob about the dream, his father immediately applied the imagery. The sun and moon were Joseph's father and mother, Jacob-also named Israel-and Rachel. Joseph's brothers were the eleven stars. The crown on the woman's head probably signifies that Christ's future kingdom will center in Israel. Although Joseph's brothers bowed down to him in Egypt (Genesis 42:6), someday restored Israel will bow down to Jesus, who is far greater than Joseph.

When Mary's Immaculate Heart Triumphs I pray you all give her the love, respect, honor, devotion but not worship that she deserves. God wills it to be so. If you hold ill will towards Mary you side with Satan so be careful. Imitate Jesus and give her the love, honor, respect, and devotion he gave to her without worshipping her. Christians have asked the Saints in Heaven to pray for us from the earliest days; as the Scriptures attest, we are surrounded by a cloud of witnesses, and we are to do prayers and intercessions daily. The Maccabbees prayed for the dead. Did Jesus lie to us and say the Holy Spirit would stay with us? Did he really let the vast majority of all Christians go wrong for 2000 years?

3 Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of the saints, on the golden altar in front of the throne.
4 The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of the saints, went up before God from the angel’s hand."
Here is a prayer that I was given to pray to Mary:
Rejoice, goodwill of God to us sinners.
Rejoice, strong defender of those who repent before God for their sins.
Rejoice, Adam's call to the fallen.
      Rejoice, redemption of Eve's tears.
Rejoice, you who cleanse us from the defilement of sin.
Rejoice, bath, who washes our minds.
Rejoice, you who gave birth to the Redeemer, Who as a gift cleanses our iniquities.
Rejoice, most wonderful one, the reconciliation of all to God.
Rejoice, bridge, who truly passes us from death to life.
Rejoice, you who saved the world from the flood of sin.
Rejoice, heavenly ladder, on which the Lord has come down to us.
Rejoice, mediator of all to God.
Does this sound right? "you who cleanse us from the defilement os sin"? Mary cleansed us? "Mediator of all to God"? Really? does this sound like simply asking Mary to pray for us??? What does idolatry look like if not this?
Maybe I am too much of a sinner to see the truth. But i cannot see how the Gospel of Our Lord depends on us praying to Mary? Is that what the Apostoles taught? Are the Catholic and Orthodox churches holier than the Apostoles? Can anyone clarify this?

      Well. Yes it does right.
Where did Jesus come from? Who birthed him? Who nursed him? Who raised him? Who taught him to speak and to walk and how to feed himself?
It was through Mary that came God chose yo come into this world. It was through Mary that the entire world was saved. It was through Mary that the lamb entered the world to take away the sins of the world.
God could have saved the world anyway that he wanted to, if it was his will to just forgive he could have done that. Instead he chose Mary. Nothing in particular unique to Mary, other than she was the chosen one to which Christ himself would be born and raised to. A plan established from God for all time. God chose Mary.
As to idolotry, perhaps a refresher of the wedding at Cana is in hand. The house servants looked to Mary, she pleads with Jesus to intervene, his response is it is not yet his time. This is Christ Jesus telling Mary no, he will do nothing, it is not yet his time. Mary’s response? Do as he says. Christ then went on to turn 180 gallons of water into wine. Not just wine but the best wine ever tasted. If this isn’t an example of the power of Mary’s intercession, I don’t know what else could be.
Look to the mother and she will point to the Son.
Cherry picking a line out of context and then scrutinizing it is not a real strong analysis method.

That is her power according to who? According to you? According to scripture? Tell me, where did scripture come from? Who ratified the books as either apart of or separate from the cannon?
Belief alone won’t get you there, and neither will scripture alone.
For that point Mary alone can’t get you there either. It requires a substantial effort on the part of the sinner to work, see St Paul speaking in Philippians 2:12.
As to Mary’s intercession in particular here. Not cherry picking at all. Read the first part of John 2, they ran out of wine, Mary came to him, The Christ, the God-Man himself, her son, and begged his help. Christ responds with “Woman, why does this concern us? My hour has not yet come.”
And so Christ goes from non-concerned and perhaps even antagonistic to the idea of him personally intervening, to him transmuting 180 gallons of water into wine. What happened? What changed?
That’s right, Mary. If you think that scripture records every line of every conversation you should reread your Bible, but based upon the evidence that is recorded, Mary is the only thing that happened. A woman came before her son begging for his help, the son capitulated to his mother and so set off the multitude of miracles Christ performed during his earthly ministry.

Luke 1:48 is the reason why we see Addressing Blessed Mary as rightly appropriate.
And Luke 19:26 is where usually the Mother of all attribute in Blessed Mary is taken.
Now what is the mistake in Praying "with" (not 'TO') Saints and Blessed Mary ? As Church teachings haven't claimed Blessed Mary or the Saints as the Redeemer. In Luke 1:47 It is rightly claimed -" God my Savior".

Basically Catholics believe in Sola Ecclesia. Whatever the Church says. Any Catholic historian of religion will tell you that their doctrine has developed from the apostolic deposit of faith. This is why they are okay with so many of their beliefs and practices being at odds with the teachings of Scripture and the early church. Where they see development, I (and the reformers) see discontinuity.

I understand. Been there, too. I was born Catholic in a devoted Catholic family. I felt that feeling as well.
It's indeed disturbing but as I choose to listen, understand, and verify it personally by reading the bible myself.. That's when it opened my mind with the truth.
I opened my mind and heart to search for the truth, I discussed it with my trusted friends/leaders/mentors after reading some notes or watching videos and read the bible.
I was told to be mindlful of the authors of the book in the bible (such as the book of John was written by John the beloved, the first five books in the Old Testament was written by Moses. But all these was written because it was inspired by the Holy Spirit. Still the works of God), the timeline of the book when it was written, the audience of it.
I could say, the more we box God with our limited understanding, the more He will prove Himself bigger and beyond our understanding.
That's why I always pray and ask for wisdom and understanding before reading His word, and help me to hold fast to the truth and nothing but the truth because it will be very hard to live in a lie, fake news, etc. There's no other more versions of the truth and it does not depend on our vote.
And as I was found by Him, it's where I found joy, peace, and love that I'm sure everyone is been searching and longing for.
Let me give you this verse, bretheren:
      Jeremiah 29:13
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
Let me suggest to you to watch the bible project. They create videos about the bible, its themes, books and overviews and don't forget to read and verify it yourself in the bible.

As a Catholic, I tell you that Catholics don't pray to Mary or any other Saint. We DO believe in the communion of saints as defined dogmatically at the Council of Nicea in 325. We understand that those in heaven can be asked to pray for us just as we can ask any other fellow Christian (saint) to pray for us. As an example, I offer the Hail Mary which is mostly biblical. The first part of the Hail Mary is taken from Luke 1:28 where Gabriel addresses Mary, "...“Hail, full of grace! The Lord is with you.” Then in Luke 1:42, Elizabeth says "...Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb." Further, the Council of Ephesus in 431 declared Mary Theotokos, i.e. "Mother of God." Together, these points give us the Hail Mary, "Hail Mary, full of grace. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us now and at the hour of our death. Amen" That's not a prayer to Mary, but a request the she pray for us.

So now, I believe and trust him no matter what. too bad I had to be in the darkest pit, that I felt there was no way out. But yes, there was Jesus right beside me , taking the worst of my pain, no one else but him. Thank you God for loving me so much, that your son, Jesus, was my rescuer. Forever grateful and thankful. You know they collected the bones of all the Saints, yes? Yet why Mary's bones never recorded or preserved as the Saints? They were the people absolutely closest to Jesus, weren't they? if she was the flesh through which the Messiah came into this world; did she not have enough significance? She was the only human to share flesh and blood with Jesus. Not even Joseph, because, as we know, Jesus was Immaculately conceived. She would of course have such significance in the sense that Jesus was the true Messiah then. If you think no one cared for her after her death, you are surely mistaken. Think now of Jesus, who as soon as he died, his disciples wanted his body, and so took it to preserve in a tomb. They wanted to hold onto whatever was left of their teacher; even his bones. Yet there were no bones of Jesus recorded, because he Ascended into Heaven. Why are there no bones of Mary? Because she was assumed into Heaven by the sheer power and will of God. She is the only human being to have ever shared exclusive flesh with Jesus (fully God and fully Man); and I think it was no mere accident that God would have it in such a manner. She is the Immaculate Conception! She was preserved from original sin, precisely so that she would be the vessel to carry the Saviour of the World. She is not Mary the woman who was Jesus' human mother, she is the Queen Mother in Heaven, the only human to share in God's flesh, and the Mother of God, the creator of the universe. Therefore, she is a mother for all human creation! She delights and dwells joyfully in God's Kingdom. You my friend are wrong, she has more significance than you can bare to imagine. Our God would not want any human being to wait for a second coming for us to be with him. He gave us his only son so that we could be with him all the more sooner. Please take these words in to sincere and honest consideration before telling me off quite plainly, see to it with reason, Mary's true significance.

Let me show you the scriptures that you skipped over, all copied (by me) from your protestant version of the bible. Not only is the intercession of the saints Biblical and valid, but they are alive in Christ and share in his ressurrection....PROOF:
➨ INTERCESSION OF MARY & THE SAINTS IN THE BIBLE: ...
The Protestant claim that we are forbidden to speak to / pray to Mary and the saints is NOWHERE in the Bible. In fact, the following scriptures were copied (by me) directly from the Protestant version of the Bible: ...
➨INTERCESSION of a holy person on our behalf:
    ● JOB 42:8 8 Now therefore take seven bulls and seven rams, and GO TO MY SERVANT JOB, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and MY SERVANT Job SHALL PRAY FOR YOU, FOR I WILL ACCEPT HIS PRAYER NOT TO DEAL WITH YOU ACCORDING TO YOUR FOLLY; for you have not spoken of me what is right, as my servant Job has.
➨INTERCESSION of MARY: At the wedding feast at Cana, it was Mary who asked Jesus to help the wedding party.
    ● The Claim that Saints are among the dead, and we are forbidden to contact them is ALSI false:
➨SAINTS ARE NOT AMONG THE DEAD: They share in the ressurrection of Jesus: (Protestants attack Biblical saints while they follow dead reformers)
    ● LUKE 23 v 39-43...Jesus told the good thief "today you will be with me in paradise"
    ● REV 19 v 14...when Jesus returns he will be accompanied by his heavenly armies of saints.
➨NOWHERE does the bible permit protestants (or anyone else) to Scrutinize & monitor the prayers of other people, nor to judge their sincerity or their salvation.

    • @cynthiax56

@RunFromTheRomanBeast It happens every single time protestants are shown scriptures which contradict the man made doctrines of Protestantism, which come from Martin Luther, ...not jesus. They will bend over backwards to try to "disprove" what the bible REALLY Says because the protestant agenda means more to them than TRUTH does.
Protestantism does not come from Jesus it came from rebellious 16th century
reformers" like Martin Luther who launched a revolt against Jesus.
ummm Yes I DO know what a saint is. SAINTS served JESUS and they existed 15 centuries B4 the protestant revolt ever took place. Protestants attack BIBLICAL SAINTS while they follow DEAD REFORMERS and they think they can "reform" what Jesus did.
1 Kings 2:20 has EVERYTHING to do with Jesus, because it shows Jewish tradition: King Sol had between 700-1000 wives yet HIS MOTHER sat on his right as queen and she interceded between the people and the King. MARY is ALSO Mother of a King who is far more powerful than King Sol and she does the same thing
John 14 Saints HAVE raised the dead throughout history. And they did so long B4 protestantism existed. hy don't YOU go raise the dead????
I have shown you BIBLICAL PROOF of the intercession of Mary & the Saints. AGAIN....NOWHERE did Jesus (or anyone else) ever forbid us to speak to his mother. You are cdlaiming something that is NOT in the bible. Genuine Christians were asking her intercession many centuries B4 the protestant revolt.
"Go to Job" The person is instructed to GO TO JOB to have JOB pray & intercede on their behalf. This is exactly the same as going through ANY Saint or Holy person to intercede.
Sorry you have such difficulty facing the fact that protestantism is FALSE and that it comes from MEN who rebelled against Jesus.

✦ ACTS 15:7-12: "After much debate had taken place, PETER got up and said to them, “My brothers, you are well aware that from early days God made his choice among you THAT THROUGH MY MOUTH THE GENTILES WOULD HEAR THE WORD OF THE GOSPEL AND BELIEVE."
✦ JOHN 21:15-19: Jesus tells PETER to "Feed my sheep"
➨The True Church is a TEACHING CHURCH:
(To TEACH is to impart knowledge that is not oresently known....not in writing)

26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall TEACH you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
      ✦JOHN 16:14:
"When the Spirit of truth comes He will guide you to all truth."
✦ Acts 8:26-40 King James Version (KJV)
30 And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest?

      Jeremiah 31:29‭-‬30 NIV
“In those days people will no longer say, ‘The parents have eaten sour grapes, and the children’s teeth are set on edge.’ Instead, everyone will die for their own sin; whoever eats sour grapes, their own teeth will be set on edge.
      Ezekiel 33:18‭-‬20 NIV
If a righteous person turns from their righteousness and does evil, they will die for it. And if a wicked person turns away from their wickedness and does what is just and right, they will live by doing so. Yet you Israelites say, ‘The way of the Lord is not just.’ But I will judge each of you according to your own ways.”
From these two passages, it's pretty easy to deduce that you will be judged for your own works, good or bad, and not that of your parents.
There is no disputing the concept of familiar spirit. One way I know to overcome that is walking in righteousness, therefore, not giving the accuser anything to hold on to when he comes sniffing you.

      Hello TorqueBow
I thank God for you being in the family of believers.
Well regarding your question, it's true that Jesus was and is without sin.
      1 John 3:5
      5. You know that He appeared in order to take away sins; and in Him there is no sin.
      Hebrews 4:15
      15. For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.
      2 Corinthians 5:21
      21. He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
It's also true that many times we are burdened (afflicted or oppressed) because of the sins of those (or relatives) before us.
      2 Samuel 21:1
      1. During the reign of David there was a famine for three successive years, and David sought the face of the Lord. And the Lord said, “It is because of the blood shed by Saul and his family, because he killed the Gibeonites.”
      John 9:1‭-‬2
      1. Now as Jesus was passing by, He saw a man blind from birth
      2. And His disciples asked Him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”
Was Mary sinless? The answer is no. Mary was not sinless because she was born of man (flesh).
      1 Corinthians 15:45‭, ‬47
      45. Thus it is written, The first man Adam became a living being (an individual personality); the last Adam (Christ) became a life-giving Spirit [restoring the dead to life].
      47. The first man [was] from out of earth, made of dust (earthly-minded); the second Man [is] the Lord from out of heaven.
The fact that she carried the Lord Jesus (by accepting God's will through faith) in her womb doesn't automatically make her become sinless. Like all of mankind, she can only be saved if she accepts the Lord Jesus as her Lord and Saviour.
If she didn't, then her sins would still remain with her. But if she did accept Him, then like all men who come to the Lord Jesus, she'd probably have walked towards perfection.
It's only Jesus Christ that is sinless because He was born of the Spirit (the Holy Spirit).
      Luke 1:31‭, ‬34‭-‬35
      31. And listen! You will become pregnant and will give birth to a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus.
      34. And Mary said to the angel, How can this be, since I have no [intimacy with any man as a] husband?
      35. Then the angel said to her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you [like a shining cloud]; and so the holy (pure, sinless) Thing (Offspring) which shall be born of you will be called the Son of God".
      Do you understand this?
If you feel your question was unanswered or there are more questions you'd like to ask, then we can keep speaking here.

he real problem with denying Mary to be Mother of God and affirming her to be merely the mother of the man Christ Jesus is in doing so one invariably either denies the divinity of Christ (as the 4th century Arians did), or one creates two persons with regard to Jesus Christ (as the 5th century Nestorians did). Either error results in heresy. The Ecumenical Councils of Nicaea (AD 325) and Constantinople (AD 381) dealt decisively with the Arian heresy. The Council of Ephesus (AD 431), as mentioned above, dealt with this latter heresy as it was being taught by the followers of Patriarch Nestorius of Constantinople. Rather than teaching the truth that Christ is one divine person with two natures-one human, and one divine-hypostatically unified, or joined together without admixture in the one divine person of Christ, they were teaching Christ to be two persons with a mere moral union. The Council fathers understood this could never be affirmed by Christians. The Bible declares to us: “… in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily” (Colossians 2:9). And, “… in him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible…” (Colossians 1:16) No where do we read in them…
    A Catholic Quadrinity?
Another common objection to Mary, Mother of God, goes something like this: “If God is Trinity, and Mary is the Mother of God, would that not mean Mary is the Mother of the Trinity?”
    Actually, it does not.
Paragraph 495 of the Catechism, quoted above, was very clear that Mary is the mother of the second person of the Blessed Trinity because neither the Father nor the Holy Spirit were incarnate.
    Simple enough.
But I am going to suggest the problem here to be deeper than just a confusion of persons within the Godhead. In my experience, this simple explanation almost invariably leads to another question that reveals the real problem in the mind of many Fundamentalists: “Even if Mary is only the Mother of the second person of the Blessed Trinity, he is just as eternal as the other two divine persons are. Thus, in order to be his mother, Mary would still have to be equally as eternal.” The root of the Quadrinity problem is really a false understanding of what is meant by Mary’s true motherhood and perhaps a false understanding of what is meant by motherhood in general.
By saying Mary is the Mother of God, the Catholic Church is not saying that Mary is the source of the divine nature among the three persons of the Blessed Trinity, nor is she the source of the divine nature of the second person of the Blessed Trinity. She doesn’t have to be in order to be the mother of the second person of the Blessed Trinity incarnate.
Perhaps an analogy using normal human reproduction will help clarify the Catholic and biblical position. My wife is the mother of my son, Timmy (and four other little human tornadoes). But this in no way implies that she is the source of Timmy’s immortal soul. God directly and immediately created his soul as he does with every human being (see Eccl. 12:7). However, we do not conclude from this that my wife, Valerie, is merely “the mother of Timmy’s body.” She is Timmy’s mother… period. This is so because she did not give birth to a body. She gave birth to a human person who is a body/soul composite… Timmy.
Analogously, though Mary did not provide Jesus with either his divine nature or his immortal human soul, she is still his mother because she did not give birth to a body, a soul, a nature, or even two natures-she gave birth to a person. And that one person is God. The conclusion to the whole matter is inescapable: If Jesus Christ is one, eternal and unchangeable divine person-God-and Mary is his mother-then Mary is the Mother of that one, eternal and unchangeable person-God.

Rose Mary Morin “When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son! Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.”
      ‭‭John‬ ‭19:26-27‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Jesus asked only one of his disciples to look after his mother. Don’t you want to be that special disciple? I know I do. To care for and be cared for the Mother of God.
Now, let me ask you this:
Who is Mary? The mother of Jesus isn’t?
      Who is Jesus? God.
Therefore, Mary is the Mother of God.
Don’t underestimate the love that God himself has for his own mother. Pray about it and you might be surprised at the answer the Holy Spirit gives you. Take off your Protestant hat before praying, just pray with a humble heart. I know I did this as an evangelical because I couldn’t reconcile the pure love that I saw some catholics had for Jesus and I saw that they also loved (not worshipped) the Virgin Mary. I prayed so hard about it and the very next day God showed me those verses above and I understood in my heart that Jesus always intended for one part of his church to love Mary.
I want to have the fullness of Jesus so I will take the mother of God i to my own hone just like the disciple that Jesus loved.
      God bless you 🙏🏾❤️🌈

You Protestant heretics are the reason why we Catholics have the 5 first saturdays devotion as our Lord asked Sister Lucia of Fatima to observe. That devotion is made for you to save your soul from eternal damnation. You do not disrespect the Mother of Our Lord Jesus and get away with it. God Bless you and im praying for your conversions.

And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." Matthew 16:18 Notice that Jesus said 'church' (singular), and not 'churches' (multiple) in that verse. Do you believe that Jesus Christ founded only one Church and promised that the gates of hell will not prevail against it, meaning that it will last forever? If you answered 'no' then you are firmly entrenched in John 6:66 simply because you do not believe He who said it. "Amen, amen, I say to you, he who enters not by the door to the sheepfold, but climbs up another way, is a thief and a robber. But he who enters by the door is shepherd of the sheep." John 10:1-2 The sheepfold represents His Church. Are you in the sheepfold, the one Church that He founded? Or did you 'climb up another way' by entering a church founded by a mere human person? Do you believe what Jesus said in those two verses? "I do not pray for these only, but also for those who believe in me through their word, that they may all be one; even as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. The glory which thou hast given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, I in them and thou in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that thou hast sent me and hast loved them even as thou hast loved me." John 17:20-23 What part of the word 'one' is simply not understood by so many? Do you agree that there is only ONE true Church that Jesus Christ founded? "He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me scatters." Luke 11:23 Are you 'gathered' into the one Church that Jesus founded? Or are you scattered among the other 40,000+ sects not founded by God that call themselves Christian? Those who do not follow His words, 'that they may be one' are those that scatter. Aren't those who left Him in John 6:66, scatterers? "Jesus said to him: I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father, but by me." John 14:6 Do you believe Him when He said, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life'? Do you believe that He is the truth? If so, why are you not in His Church? "You search the Scriptures, because in them you think that you have life everlasting. And it is they that bear witness to Me, yet you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life." John 5:39-40 You come to Him by entering His one Church, the only Church with God given authority to speak in the behalf of God Himself. . "So Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you; he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him. As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats me will live because of me. This is the bread which came down from heaven, not such as the fathers ate and died; he who eats this bread will live for ever." John 6:53-58 Those within His Church know Him because He is really present in the Holy Eucharist which is not a symbol by any means. Anywhere in the above text, is there even a hint of a symbolic gesture? Aren't those who eat what they are taught is merely a symbol of the real Body of Christ akin to those fathers who ate of the symbol and died? Aren't they subject to become a member of Club666? "And I will ask the Father and He will give you another Advocate to dwell with you forever, the Spirit of Truth WHOM THE WORLD CANNOT RECEIVE, BECAUSE IT NEITHER SEES HIM NOR KNOWS HIM." John 14:16-17 Who are those who are called 'the World'? They are those who refuse to believe what He said and are therefore members of Club666. "He who does not love me does not keep my words; and the word which you hear is not mine but the Father's who sent me. These things I have spoken to you, while I am still with you. But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you." John 14:24-26 The first part of the first sentence sounds remarkably like John 6:66 where some of His disciples would not keep His words either and ended up walking away from Him. Would not you agree? I would say that these verses reinforce John 6:66 by adding the words 'He who does not love me'. "But when the Counselor comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness to me; and you also are witnesses, because you have been with me from the beginning." John 15:26 Are you truly witnesses to ALL of what Jesus had to say to us or do you reject some of it? If you reject 'some of it' then you are truly entrenched in Club666. "I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth; for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you. All that the Father has is mine; therefore I said that he will take what is mine and declare it to you." John 16:12-15 Does the 'Spirit of Truth' really dwell in your sect? If you believe He does, then how can you explain the differences in supposed truths in over 40,000 different sects? "But if thy brother shall offend against thee, go, and rebuke him between thee and him alone. If he shall hear thee, thou shalt gain thy brother. And if he will not hear thee, take with thee one or two more: that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may stand. And if he will not hear them: tell the church. And if he will not hear the church, let him be to thee as the heathen and publican." Matthew 18:15-17 Which Church, His Church which has all truth or those human person founded sects which only have some of it? "And other sheep I have that are not of this fold. Them also I must bring, and they shall hear My voice, and there shall be one fold and one shepherd." John 10:16 That one verse expresses the theme of this entire page. Are you one of the sheep who are not of His fold? Jesus is pleading to us by saying I MUST BRING His 'other sheep' to His ONE FOLD and ONE SHEPHERD. Those who are not in His ONE FOLD are not listening to Him and so are firmly entrenched in the 666 Club. "Jesus said to the twelve, "Do you also wish to go away?" Simon Peter answered him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life;" John 6:67-68 Do those verses say it all to you??? If so then we all must belong to the ONE FOLD with one Shepherd and have eternal life, or be forever a member of Club 666. The choice is yours!💋

Genuine Christians were asking Mary's intercession 15 centuries B4 the protestant revolt ever took place because they knew that the Jews valued the wisdom & advice of mothers. John 1 the wedding at Cana: It was MARY who asked Jesus to help the wedding party. This is INTERCESSION. Protestantism exists only to oppose original Christianity (The Catholic church) Protestantism is a PROTEST Against whaT Jesus did. They think they can reform what the first Christians who followed Jesus believe

Keep your mouth shut, and keep your eyes open. The Bible nowhere says you should pray to Mary. I don't see your eternal salvation.

Im a Catholic, but i pray directly to Jesus. He is the only one we need. Only God can hear prayers. Because he is omnipresent. Saints and Mary can't hear prayers unless Jesus ask them to pray for us. They are not omnipresent. Only God.
