Haha Yeah Boi! I’m really glad you put this out right now. I’m in San Jose. I’m gonna drive right by San Luis Reservoir and O’Neil Forebay on Sunday and I want to drop in and pitch out some swim baits. Still need my First Striper. Do You have to pay to fish San Luis Reservoir? If so where do you pay at. Don’t recall any concessions or stores around. Iron Ranger? Really cool video. I’ll plan to bottom bounce if there is no top water bite. Nice job brotha 🔥💪🏻🤙🏻
@Stellarbaits ......appreciated for stopping by again brother. If you want to do some fishing at San Luis Reservoir, you can just park on the side of hwy 152. There are some area along that highway where you can park. The area I'm fishing at is straight down from the Romero Overlook visitor center. There's a parking area there that you can park and is free. If you plan to go fishing at O'Neill Forebay, the fee for day-use vehicle is $10 bucks.
@ Thank you. Not sure which side I’m going to yet but the San Luis side looks pretty fishy. I’ll likely go to both. Does that mean there is no fees for parking on the highway and walking down to San Luis side? Appreciate all the intel and the video. I’m stoked I’ll be dropping in and hopefully get on my first striper.
@Stellarbaits ....if you go in thru the Dinosaur Boat Launch area to fish. You will get to pay the fee. Same fee like the forebay, $10 for vehicle and if you launch a boat, it'll be $7 on top of that, total $17. The parking area along the highway including the parking area at Romero Overlook Visitor Center is free but just make sure you don't leave anything valuable in the car that is visible. People can break into it.
@battambangfarmers2858 .....for San Luis Reservoir, O'Neill Forebay, California Aquaduct, and California Delta. Keeper size is 18inch, 2 fish per person with a valid fishing license. New Hogan Lake, Pyramid Lake CA, Castaic Lake, and Diamond Valley Lake is 10 striper per person no size limit.
