Hola Pablo, My family is also from Spain! ❤🇪🇸💃🏻🌹 I am very grateful for your selection. Being a Spaniard, I can attest that this piece of music magically creates a flow of our blood that I cannot imagine possible in any other! ¡Muchas gracias y Dios le bendiga!
I first started listening to the Utah Symphony 64 years ago when you were performing in the Tabernacle on Temple Square. I played second harp with Adean Bradley who was the organist at the Cathedral of the Madeline and learned to play the harp so she could teach some few of us to play. I was Young Musican of the Year for the State of Utah in about 1963 with the Utah Symphony. It was amazing to play such music. It was under Maurice Abravanel. Then I went East to school and Camille Lamoreaux became first harpist for decades before she moved to Australia. I met her beautiful, red-headed daughter whom she brought to my watercolor studio at the Guthrie Institute of Fine Art. Schroudely Smith Owenby and I played harp duets all over Salt Lake and Davis Counties in the early 60s and she went on to teach harp at BYU and turn Salt Lake City into the significant harp city that it is today. It's because of Schreudy that Lyon & Healy harp manufa turer located there out of NYC store from Chicago to here in Salt Lake City up on South Temple. Sorry I can't remember how to spell her name. She's a dear woman and good friend. My own harp is hereby now for sale. It's a Lyon & Healy serial number 692. My parents bought it in 1957 at the NYC store and had all new wood on it. Happy Birthday Utah Symphony.
Enjoying since the 1960's, first ticket holders for the new Abravanel Hall. Spectacular to hear the Utah Symphony sonority wafting over the Wasatch. Froehliche Geburtstag!
Cincinnati, Ohio here. So Glad to be able to see this presentation. I was able to attend and enjoy the Utah Symphony while visiting with the American Orff Schulwerk Association conference of music teachers in Salt Lake City this past November.
