if anyone wonders why the receiver is standing on the 9th metre, it’s because, when the block is good and closes this part of field, the only ball that can go in that direction is after block, and this goes high, so he stands far to receive them

Come on... Guy on 9th meter screwed up :) The only ball blah-blah-blah, you have to be focused on a game and react accordingly. Opponent usually is not cooperating and following guidebook :)
Defender MUST stay on his toes, not flat footed to be able to react faster. He did not even try... Blockers did their job - japanese did not spike due to low chance of success - it was an emergency save, not a good attack.
Cover the blockers!!! (and some curse words after, as our coach always did :) )
Set was not good, attacker was not a 7'+ central blocker able to spike suddenly from crappy set over everything, no good run and jump as smaller players can do regularly...
Stuck to standards and got punished. Keep focused and read what is going on around.
Yeah, we are all that smart to find out who's fault was that after we screwed up in game :)
But those guys are professionals and are getting salary for playing volleyball. Defender's feet were on the floor, he was not ready... Tip was into 7th meter and was not super fast. 99% doable. Misunderstanding, miscommunication... Favorite coach's words when he was not cursing :)

@@step670 Idk where you’ve played, but professional volleyball isn’t about “whoever is closest goes for the ball.” Professional volleyball is structured and not just a simple minded game like in high school and college. Certain players are expected to position themselves in certain areas of the court depending on where the front row runs the block. In professional volleyball you have what are known as “lanes” and each player is responsible solely for their own lane on reception, they are not supposed to go onto another player’s lane, doing so could even result in being benched.

He is also a very caring person, not to step on the setter, then made a rapid and wise decision to drop the ball in an unguarded spot🎉🎉.gotta respect 👏 👍

Wtf in my kids tournaments one handed open hand soft touches (I don't know the english term, but basically what you see here) are forbidden, they must use fist or hit the ball hard with open hand or use both open hands to soft touch, they can't leave it there with one hand. I'm gonna show this video to the coach next time.

those are beach rules, they probably are using them to teach them to do difficult shots insted of going the easy way that is touching. At some point they are gonna be able to do planty of shots because they got good bases.
