This was wonderful. I work as a production manager in a theatre company and found this really helpful to listen to and think through and evaluate my role. I just closed my third consecutive big show and am starting up another small one in our company while contracting out a smaller live event next month. This week I’m just trying to rest but also thinking through where I want to focus in to improve my craft this next winter. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you 🙏 I’m not exactly sure where to start, I’d like to work for a music festival company but I’m coming from a background in fire/emergency medical services. Any suggestions for getting experience without having a background in stage production or anything similar?

A great place to start is by volunteering at your city's arts and film festivals - and through this later approaching them to enquire about volunteering or work placement roles shadowing producers and/or production managers at their events.
