@@Meanpooh yes, the looks of the white one especially, that's what caught my eye in micro center. only thing, I got this exact build with the rtx 2070 8 gb super and 1 TB HDD from micro center, I saw after on dell website they have one with a rtx 3070 8gb, 500gb hdd for same price. I would have bought the rtx 3070 one had I known, I can always expand the hdd ram, but can't upgrade the gpu. Oh well, it's a beast anyway. Great video BTW, I was curious to see how it handles cyber punk in ultra ray trace. I'm surprised, a pretty steady 60fps. Cheaper Laptops like the msi gf65 fail hard on this game in ultra.
The 3070 is a deal for the same price. The hard drive is easy to upgrade but we are stuck with the GPU, CPU and RAM. If you could return it I would just because of the 3070 but then again, Im sure its not coming with 32GB or RAM. Still an awesome machine nonetheless.
Do you think this laptop and this spec is enough for gaming, not so heavy mostly dota, and some unity/unreal engine modeling and rendering, is heating a problem in this model and is it too loud? Sorry for so many question and thanks in advance for answering.
Thats a hefty list. Really hard to pick. Personally the build quality is the best Ive seen to date but there are machines that are cheaper with the same specs which will sway most people. New machine are coming if you can hold off.
@RJ Games Productions You're right about some of them just because of the many confusing versions. I feel as though if your machine does what it needs for you, there is no need to upgrade. Skipping a generation will most likely save you some money which will be better put towards the one after. This is why I keep my machines for longer than 18 months or more. Going from 60 FPS to 75 is good but not worth the extra cost knowing that the next version (Ti, XT etc) is around the corner. Now if you got a new game and you dropped down to 25-25 FPS then maybe it will be ok, if that is your main game.
I just got this exact laptop from micro center. The white M15 R3, i7-10750H, 300Hz, I'm geeking out over it. The 8gb RTX 2070S is pretty damn decent. I'm playing Fivem (GTA V) in all advanced highest settings and ultra @ 45-60 FPS. Editing and uploading the unboxing video tomorrow. ✌
Well hey meanpooh can you test RDR2 on the Nitro 5 2020 please whenever you have ever have the time to thank you. Also I would play cyberpunk. But with how extremely intense and over the top it is and the bugs since the bad release of the game I'm gonna wait it out me personally.
It’s not for everyone. Alienware machines tend to run on the warmer side and can get quite warm. The newest version have 4 fans that help a lit. This is pretty much what happens when people whine and cry for a thin Gaming laptop because 5 pounds is too heavy for them.
Hey does yours make a whistling sound when the fans are cranked up? I have the M17 R3 but the fan noise is mad annoying sounds like a whistle, might have to return it
You have to remember that its running at 1080. If the res is increased then you will see clock speeds follow. Also to get the CPU and GPU really going RTX should be used. The CPU has more cores and threads so it does not have to run full throttle to get the job done as it spreads the work across its assets. A lot of games do not make use of all cores of a CPU. Mostly 2-4.
@@jefffisher598 You might be running in Performance mode for Power profile. It will keep your cores going at full speed and will not let them slow down like balanced. Im going to make another video showing the different fan settings as I was only using balanced mode.

Your machine should easily run this game at FUll HD 60 FPS. Check your power profile in the Command Center. You may be using one of the efficient modes to keep it cool. The CPU will get up in temps but don't worry about it as the machine is built for it.
@@Meanpooh i appreciate your reply! What it was, drivers alienware downloaded were outdated, once I updated it was running easily at 60fps. GeForce experience bugged out so i had to so it manually. It doesn't matter as long as the game is getting good frame rate. Im sure if I were to OC the thing and then undervolt a bit it will help but even then, if the program doesn't want to use the GPU as much, it wont. The GPU does not have to run full throttle to do the job it needs to. Its programming.
Naa, don't let it worry you. The card is fine. If you look at my Fortnite video you will see that the GPU usage is low but as soon as I start using RTX, the usage is high like you mentioned. ruclips.net/video/h6uD3-D68MM/видео.html&ab_channel=Meanpooh

Man, now I really want to play this game with ray tracing. This game is now somewhat optimised.
I have overclocked my RTX 2070 Mobile and now I am achieving performance, relatively similar to that of an RTX 2070 Super Mobile graphics card.
Great work.
