When I started ff14 and was helping a bar owner drum up business I didn't ever once think that I'd be debating the merits of existing in spite of the knowledge of the futility of living with the ghosts of a once immortal race and fight a being capable of causing the entropic death of the universe on the back of my dragon formed stalker boyfriend but holy shit was it a hell of a ride.

The Watcher makes me so sad. Sometimes I go and sit near him, even now. Just to keep him company. I talk to him every time something big happens in the story, just to see if he has new dialogue. It's updated a couple times through the story until the end of Endwalker.
1:20:14 I swear, ffxiv is the only story that has ever made me emotional by showing me a man drinking a cup of hot Coco. That cutscene hit me so hard when I first watched it since I could absolutely understand what was going through his head from beginning to end, to the point where I ended up saying out loud "they better not kill jullus off I swear to God." And then Anima roared immediately after I said that and he almost got tempered and I was thinking "oh, that's worse actually."

It got rid of the silence in my room and it's just really nice to hear the music again without the distraction. 1:38:56 FFXIV may not be the most heartwarming game ever, but with the amount of themes, stories and characters, its heartwarming moments feel EARNED and because of that, they hit SO MUCH HARDER. This game is amazing.
I'm really getting emotional hearing Endwalker OST. Heavensward and the others are good too but the flow, footfalls, close in the distance, answers, dynamis ohh everythiiinggg. I love every seconds of each song without noticing your tears are falling. Thank you for compiling them up.

My first FF game was FF4 on the antique device called Super Nintendo. Even back then with MIDI files, Final Fantasy series led the industry in quality soundtracks for their games, FF4 forever :P
In that fly by of Ultima Thule, it made me think of something in regards to FFXIV. Alot of people will recommend the game for the story. Surely that is a notable feature, though on top of that, I also felt like I was a part of shaping the world as I journeyed through it. I believe that has left the biggest impression on me in regards to the game.
I have stopped playing ff14 because of college but I will always listen to these music because they always hit different. i see my warrior of light fighting the last boss to save all live in eorzea when listening to these soundtracks
I remember when 'With Hearts Aligned' first played during my playthrough. I was trying my best not to die or do anything stupid, as I play a tank :D But I knew how much joy they were going for when making this track. Felt really pumped and full of happiness.

More than a year later, Footfalls still gets me teary and choking up when trying to sing it. All of Final Fantasy's music is so good, but having a few choice songs coalesce into practically "the beginning of the end" of Act I for XIV is truly amazing. And I only got into Final Fantasy XIV a little more than a year and a half ago! 3:13:52 *BIG FAT TACOS! BIG FAT TACOS! BIG FAT TACOS! SO BIIIG!!!*

The Final Day made me literally cry when I heard it for the first time. It's like... all the memories from the past storylines, all at once. Just too much, man.

I just wish I actually took the time to enjoy the game the first time I played it, I legit sped through the msq and didn't touch side stuff at all on my first character and I regret it all because the ending was so good.

I would like the full 14s story in a RPG. One where they dont have to worry about level pacing, gear pacing, etc. Just pure story playthrough. A lot of my time spent with 14 is memorable but mared by boring in-between running around doing filler activities trying to get back to the story. I'd love to play the story, just the story, again

I still get emotional when I hear the build-up from echoes in the distance to close in the distance, the story and music hit so deep.
I took a break from FFXIV a year ago after two months of playing Endwalker and this is still my default productivity soundtrack.

What I decided when I did EW is that it was a full goodbye from the developers to the story arc from 2.0 to 6.0.

I would like the full 14s story in a RPG. One where they dont have to worry about level pacing, gear pacing, etc. Just pure story playthrough. A lot of my time spent with 14 is memorable but mared by boring in-between running around doing filler activities trying to get back to the story. I'd love to play the story, just the story, again
