Sharp guy. He saved a lot of lives that day, not just on the plane. Well done, hero!

My son just turned 17 and is a pilot. Going to fly commercially. Very similar mind. Very smart but can compartmentalize absolutely and completely in that otherwise dire situation. There is a lot to comprehend in staying ahead of the plane and finding a landing spot to save everyone simultaneously. He’ll be there in a few years! Amazing job Sully!!!

I was in high school when this happened. I'm now an airline pilot myself at a major airline. This man has been a great inspiration to many of us.

Amidst the media's fear-mongering in regard to the aviation industry, it's very refreshing and comforting to hear from an _actual_ authority on the topic: an *experienced pilot,* not some bureaucrat nor condescending young journalist.

While the collision with the geese was unfortunate, there so many other things that went right for this pilot’s water ditch landing. He was able to clear all bridges and there were no boats or ferries in his path. The wing flaps were not damaged and were fully operational. The tail was in tact and his placement of the plane on the water was perfect. The flight crew and passengers did not panic. And the ditching was in an area where rescue response was mere seconds away. This truly was a miracle.

I love this guy. He is so humble, never taking credit himself for the landing. But, the truth is that he was solely responsible for that outcome, and the world knows it.

I'd love to be on a flight and learn that these pilots (Sully and co-pilot Skiles) were in control. Well done, gentlemen. For two men who only met that day, they worked very well together. ✈️

If that had been a different pilot on a different plane, the end result could have been very different. A different pilot may have tried to land at one of the airports. He knew enough to guess that trying to go to an airport would be a bad idea. One of the biggest takeaways from this is to know your equipment and trust your instincts.

Everyone is dying of sin.. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of GOD is eternal life in CHRIST JESUS our LORD.
no one knows their time.. have you lied, stolen , lusted..these are sins.. you need to repent and turn away from them..
John 3: 3-7 JESUS answered, “I AM telling you the truth: no one can see the Kingdom of GOD without being born again.”
Are you born again? Unless you repent of your sin and turn away from it and put your trust in LORD JESUS alone.. you will not enter GOD's kingdom.. HOLY SPIRIT is the guarantee GOD gives us those who are born again - born of The SPIRIT
Make your decision today..you don't know when your last breath is.
