The only thingI ve noticed is that a lot of people tend to use this phrase, ' be the best me that I can be,' God never ask us to be the best us , nothing we can do in ourselves can be pleasing to God. Our righteousness is as filthy rags before God.
We have to be the best that God has mould us to be.
Anything we do has to be God directed and He will help us along the way.
To be the best me I can, tend to make one thinks he in himself, is the one who has to do his best.
