In my knowledge this time it was her 5th attempt and 2nd interview with Anthropology optional and this video is of her 3rd attempt when she gave her very first interview.

It explains why she would've chosen anthropology for her next attempts geography in itself has a very broad range and even an aspirant like her wasn't very comfortable in tackling the questions...well done mam on your selection you truly deserved it
It gives me immense pleasure to watch interviews of young and bright minds of future DCs/DMs...am sure many of them must be holding important positions in the Governance now
However, I want to highlight the ongoing Manipur incident to submit a point, which is - The district SDM/DM/DC of Churachandpur district, Bishnupur district fail to dispense their duties effectively...things could have been nipped in the bud at district level but not done
Hope rather wish these bright officers are as good on the ground as in AC rooms and their comfort zones

The right attitude to face the questions, not the factual responses that matter for success. Whatever area we mention as our field of interest or choice we should have basic awareness on it. Very useful for the aspirants to emulate. Personally I observe the structure of interview remains to be the same for decades.

Negation of negation is the process of evolution.. probably one of the only Marxist theories I adhere by.. hence, something is better than nothing because perfect is an utopian concept.
This is last year's interview... This time her optional is Anthropology...not Geography... Last time unfortunately she could not make her name in the list. This time she ranked AIR3
This is not the last year's but even prior to that. In his third attempt, she has reached to interview stage then in 4rth, she was not able to clear prelims itself and this was the time when she get sufficient time to introspect and changed his optional from geography to anthro in her 5th attempt.

Yes, it is possible to write the UPSC mains examination in English medium and opt for the interview in Telugu. The UPSC provides the option to choose the language of the interview from the list of languages mentioned in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution of India, which includes Telugu. So, if you are more comfortable expressing yourself in Telugu during the interview, you can select Telugu as your preferred language for the interview.

UPSC and IIT are totally different exam otherwise all iit bombay students are civil servant. evenIIT bombay student struggling a lot and finally cant clear.
Every exam needs different preparation.
Not necessarily every IITian can crack UPSC

My opinion is that an IIT graduate should not go for civil services. It is an entirely different field where there is daily direct interaction with politicians. Only those interested in history and politics should write civil services. An IIT graduate with very high IQ should select technical fields. Let BA history or politics wala write civil services. IIT graduates, MBBS degree holders etc should stick to their fields. Otherwise what is the use of taking a professional degree after a tough entrance exam and hard work for years. Even BA history or a BSc graduate can write UPSC exams. My son is an engineering graduate and his age is 25 . He is earning 3 lakhs per month salary. I advised him not to select any other field. If selected what's the use of his BTech degree......
No offence sir but everyone won't have a goal of just making money in their life
If one have that potential can opt anything as he/she wish and can change as many time as they want .If someone better than them can surely take that seat .Its all about knowledge one should have....
@anshikakumari1436 Mam, I didn't say that history or politics is bad. But I was expressing my opinion that technically qualified students should stick to their technical fields. For example if a well qualified surgeon opt a totally different field, what's the use of studying surgery in his life?
