Oh nice. Some Empyrion to watch. Yesterday I was trying to figure out what I wanted to watch, and realized that I hadn't watched a Spanj video in a while... I was very happy to see a new Empyrion series. Hopefully after a couple videos, youtube will get the memo and start adding your videos to my feed again...
Great vid. I love your montages and especially the your music choices for them. Also, the Diggidy and Volos XS are the ships I use in my actual playthrough. Someone pointed out in the last video that you might want to look at the classes in RE. I thing that the engineer might be fitting for this run as it can give you more LY out of your warp engines! Can't wait for the next one!
Put that sv laser in your factory,that should give you exactly the zasc and erestrum you need mate.Also you picked up a rifle upgrade,use it to make yourself a t2 pulserifle for the win! I think you must have been reading my mind mate lmao!
Been holding back on playing EGS for a while, having a savegame with so many hours put into it, I'm waiting for RE2 before I jump into the timesink again. Lost my job last week, so in between trying to sort everything out, watching this is just perfect.
@3:00 - you too would scream like that if you were a catwalk model, with a belly tongue, restricted to one cup of boiled rice per day and looking through a window at a banquet. awesome episode, and I like the look of that Volos XS.
Really enjoying the series my man. My processor said his final goodbye about 3 months back and i haven't been able to replace it yet, so it really nice to be able to vicariously play the game through your eyes. Now it will be exciting to see if later on you start obsessing as much about what goes where in regards to storage, as i do... Having single storages for single types of resources etc. I know it's not optimal... but whenever i play stuff like this i can't stop hoarding.. in Skyrim i had a room full of just loose loot filled to the absolute brim.. Opening the door at the end crashed my game sometimes
First class montage! I was dying when Keenan's Steve Harvey showed up hahaha. I remember you used the Vanilla version of the Volos XS in your 1.8 Vanilla series before you brought in the luxury cruiser and set up shop on that non-livable planet lol. Great stuff!
I often start with the little Auger miner, and then move on to an extended warp/shielded version. The little L12 Auger is cheap as dirt and pretty much can turn around in it's own hole. Still I may see about making a no-shield/warp of your miner that can then be upgraded instead. Better than throwing the old SVs away like I have been doing.
Looks like you probably coulda used a nifty little device I've seen on the workshop; it's basically a little turret in a box. A cockpit-less HV with wifi, and a single turret. I've used 'em a time or two, they're really nice helpers. Excellent for taking some of the pressure off you. And as a nice little bonus, you can place them through your drone to clear out an area ahead of you going in. They're cheap enough that they're easy to break down and rebuild in your factory quickly. I've taken to keeping a few pre-built at all times, just in case.

I looked you up because I heard you do cool builds in this game. So far we haven't gotten to see you do any building. I get using a prebuilt SV to get ya going but you also didn't show us you building the small shelter and that wouldn't of taken much time to show, would've been nice to of seen even in timelaps. It has been entertaining, I just hope at some point in this series we get to actually see you build. Maybe I'll have to watch some older playthroughs, maybe you got tired of building new designs. 👍👍👍👍

I just cleared two abandoned bunkers. The first one i got my arse kicked many times, and it took hours as i had only light armour and tier 1 weapons and no bandages and health packs. The second one i was a bit more prepared and had advanced light armour, Tier 2 sniper, Tier 2 Assault rifle, Grenade launcher and i cleared it mostly with an epic pistol(Red Zirax one) that i found in the first bunker as it does 200 damage and the clip holds 13 rounds and also used pistol rounds which are cheap to make and i cleared most of the bunker with that pistol and found lots of rare loot. Only died about three times in the second one.
Spanj, I know why you keep switching up the content. But honestly, your Empyrion series are always so good. This POI is probably my most run POI. I always seem to find it on my starter.
Hi Spanj I know that you have been really involved in the Empyrion community for a long time. I'm just starting Empyrion and am pretty lost when it comes to building. I know you used to create videos with the top blueprints to get. Would you consider creating a video like that that is up to date? like top 2023 blueprints? top beginner blueprints, etc. I'm also hunting up beginner vids you have done. Your videos were recommended to me and i've found them really great. Thank you!
You can destroy the spawn plates in the walls with charges, just need to watch where they spawn. Makes it easier if you die and i feel this is completely in the rules. This Poi is ridiculous overpowered. Especially there is no way out after you jumped into the hellhole. Btw there are at least 2 spawns in the ceiling dropping crabs on you.

Never could understand devs that think it's fun to clear an area only for enemies to respawn the moment your back is turned... I mean ffs even the original Doom had monsters popping out of hidden places not magically appearing out of thin air! How tf is ANYONE supposed to clear poi's without getting smashed by stuff that's not supposed to be there any more is a mystery. Fun? More like some ordeal to be endured. What does it say about a game that the player is glad to shut it down rather than continue...

All those beasties in the elevator shafts prooves that EGS needs throwable grenades.

CV looks like just a front half or maybe the front 2/3rds with the back end misding. Does look a little funny. Also, looks a little froggy too.

Why not use a deconstructor aboard a CV, also there is a salvage core that can be picked up, reforged has a lot of useful stuff for CV.
