tadcaster st marys church ringing all 8 bells sun th10 september 2023

now welcome to my tours to tadcaster church walking around the church and the walfdale banks around tadcaster where the rivers go least the weather stayed warm sunny a bit of rain accasonly not bad warm and humid sweety days i was sertenly sweating alot in this warm hot weather i took 4 bottles of cold water so now i have completed my task by coming back to hear all 8 bells being rung its always nice to come and hear the church bells being rung ither in a town or village the bells at tadcaster were rehung all 8 bells in 1935 having been re cast by john taylor of co loughbrough in 1908 from the metal of 6 old bells the inscriptions of which retained follow now these bells are a simular tone sound like almondbury all hallows church west yorkshire 8 bells and skipton holy trinity in craven with 8 bells some lovley peals around i sertanly liked the tadcasters 8 bells st marys church they were very very loud from outside the church yes now when you all go bellringing like that on a hot sunny humid days always takes cold water with you or even when you ring all 8 bells for a quarter peal you get alot of sweat running down your faces or top of your heads weather you have a head full of hair or if your compleatley bold you sweat more everybody is diffrent its like going to the gym to do exersize its like a sports club is bellringing or going swimming or rideing a bike i like coming bellringing its good it doesnt matter who we are and where we ring the bells its just nice to come and help each other i sertany like coming to help ring the bells i hope you like the tadcasters famous unick bells they are beautifull tunefull sounding bells 1 of the best in north yorkshire near york here you are friends thank you very very much for ringing all 8 bells by stuart mills yes i am fine i got home safe and sound no problems not many sandwich shops open in tadcaster i tried getting a sandwich before the bus came to take me back to leeds no sandwich shop it was closed the one oppositte the little bus station and pub on the corners
