I’m sorry but when you compare metro to other producer such as even small ones or RUclips type beats his drums just aren’t good. They are outdated and sound like someone’s first beat, it doesn’t help 99% of the time he relies on Loopmakers

How do you know what compressor to use for what sound?
And do you eq every sound to take lows out etc? Cheers dude your stuffs great!
After a while you start learning why a certain compressor is better for something and another for something else. I gotta make a video about this so thanks for the idea!
I eq almost every sound yes, but I don't ALWAYS take lows out no matter what. I try to use my ears as much as possible 😁 thanks for your support!!

Hey man, I use a lot of vsts to edit my drums samples, all the plugins I use are linked in the description for each single video 😁 I try not to leave anything out of the videos, so whatever you see is what I actually use!! Hope this helps

how do I add texture and quality to my drums using stock plugins
Even with stock plugins, you can still do it, they’re great! As you can see I always use saturation and distortion to add texture and harmonics, so I would go for that! 😁
where do you get your drumkits from
I try not to use premade drum kits, but I have an infinite amount of folders and samples that I collected through the years so I usually put them together and make my own!
Metro didn't make the creepin beat it's a cover
In the video the first thing I say is that the song is a cover indeed! And by the way, the song is a cover, meaning melody and lyrics, not the beat. He made the beat
And the sonlg they covered is a cover or the same sample as fugees. And fugees took the sample enya from 86 and sample it in 96 for ready or not
A whole lot, if not all songs nowadays have a sample, melody or lyric that comes from another song
