If we compare the Old Cast, she probably is not a great character. But on her own, she is pretty good. I think her problem tends to come from being on her season. If she had been between any other season, she would probably come would liked more.
I would also like to add that in the finale when Sky was having her 'tantrum', she kept stating," It's not fair !" and honestly, yeah it was unfair . Sky throughout all the season has tried to play a fair game, even so far as in the final 4 challenge where Sugar suggests cheating Sky declines . So when Chris says that if neither final 2 doesn't cross the finish, then the assistants split the money . It's extremely unfair and goes against what Sky's mindset is when in a competition. This is helped because of Sky being a trainee Olympian, the gold medal doesn't split to the fifth and ninth place people, it goes to who did the best (in this case the person who crossed the finish line first) .
@@valeriebernstein9167 My guess is how both Zoey and Skye had similar themes of being plain compared to the other cast and their relationship to Mike and Dave. Given Zoey was in the all stars before Skye's season, the comparisons were inevitable
agreed. Lightning and Sky are the only valid jocks in the show. Tyler is a wannabe who acts like one and is not athletically gifted and Zoey just has no social life.
Sky for me personally she is much better by herself without Dave around who is dragging her character down and that is the reason why peoples believe Sky is not a well developed character because of her relantioship with Dave ruined her in episodes 5 7 9 and the finale. Sky is one of my favorite characters in Total Drama Pahkitew Island. I never really understood why people hated her. Sure the way she handled things with Dave was wrong but also she did try to tell him that she had a boyfriend but he didn’t want to hear it.

This may be debatable for many TD fans across the TD community. But in my personal opinion, Sky is actually a great character (Low S tier). The reason I say this is because as soon as I saw her face when the season first premiered, I always thought she had potential to win the season. And she did, at least in some parts of the world. And because she is better off alone than she is with Dave. Or maybe, she should come back for a future season and deserves someone better. She may be similar to Zoey, but the 2, I never hated

For me, I didn’t really remark on Sky all that much(good or bad). Jasmine and Shawn were the ones I was most focused on that season. Another thing that stood out aside from those two is Chris being insane.

Thank you so much about this video. Sky is indeed misunderstood character. and thank you so much about talking about her "tandtrum" in the finale. She was so close to win and than just loses everything. and I also hate when people claims that she was just a bitch in the finale. As you said, all the odds were against her. two of the best players in the season were against her in the finale. she got Dave, the last person she wanted. and Chris, instead of letting them to talk and getting some good terms, he just made Dave feel more upset and once again he cried. Shawn and Jasmine laughed at her. Sky had to motivate Dave. maybe the kiss was too impulsive, but I understand her. and Chris even says in the confessional that he does not understand what is going on between Sky and Dave. he litterly admitted that he wanted them to fight to create more drama. Chris for no reason targeted Sky. and when it did not worked for him, he decided to took down both Sky and Shawn and this is why I hate the finale. the writers were just biased for Shawn and Sky screwed. I like Sky and I will always be on her side and defend her character
Well that's nice to know you support your fav! that's always good also I remember when I used the tantrum against Sky, I kinda shifted from that to just her general relationship with Dave I think in part thanks to this vid. Once again, I wish she wasn't bogged down with boy plotlines, Gwen already suffered enough with that, why do it again for a new character with less known about them? I mean, people complain about Zoey being male oriented, but I still maintain she had stuff outside of that, Sky has less to work with, I don't really count her rivalry with Sugar cause that was barley a thing, I think the only other thing she had was being a team leader, but that also wasn't focused on much, I'm not saying she is trash, I'm just saying she should have been given something more interesting than just being a normal girl who is physically athletic.

To be honest, i never disliked her. She's was My 3rd fav. (Behind Shawn And Jas) Now She's still there. Cause i still feel theres potential for her. The Only thing i really desliked was the fact that they Turned her into a jerk. We already have Lightning And Jo for ego Athletes. And that couldd be a good point for her. If she was in a season like Island, she'd definitely need some more to her to make her a good character, but for a 13 episode season, she's fine for what she is. She's pretty much guaranteed top 5 simply because her competition is so lacking.
Sky was probably my second favorite girl contestant of Pakitew Island(Jasmine was my favorite). But, I wish she told Dave from the start that she had a boyfriend.
Couldn’t have come up with anything better myself for Sky. So, if I’m saying this right, Sky is just sort of like a calm mediator type contestant, but has problems with uncertainty as the season progresses and gets dragged into trouble more often than not. I don’t see this as “Diet Zoey” or just anything that was thrown around in the community. I was sort of neutral towards Sky even before this video was uploaded. I agree she was just part of the “level-headed” contestant group of the series. I felt like after Dave’s 180 spiral down started, she just sort of gets bad luck with Dave getting more dramatic, getting forced to go along with plans without her say, and a prominent red flag reason: Chris. I still don’t know what it is with Season 6 Post-Jail Chris, but he just doesn’t care about personal privacy or being cruel towards Dave and Sky towards the end. That’s just insanity and creepy. Even after watching, I’m still neutral towards Sky, although I agree her ending wasn’t really fulfilling compared to Shawn’s ending.
Personally, the island's idea, Jasmine, Ella, Shawn, Sky, and MOST of Scarlett are probably the only things I LIKED throughout all of the season. Jasmine and Shawn's relationship took a bit of a rocky turn, but it recovered.

Sky is Zoey#2 Sky is a knockoff of Zoey there both athletic and they both fall in love with a pointless and worthless boy who places 7th and 6th and the most thing Mike and Dave look alike there skin color is the same there hair is the same both of there shirts are blue and that’s it what the actual damn heck.
Ella was my favorite of the gimmick characters ( depending if Amy and Samey count as gimmick ) could be my favorite overall gimmick character Sense I’ve seen a lot of people like her She’s just one of those Disney adults
Sky was honestly my favorite character when I first watched Pahkitew Island. I'm not sure if that's still the case, but I still really love her, for a lot of reasons you mentioned. I really appreciated how, despite being competitive and flawed, she was someone who genuinely valued being a good team member, someone who always wanted to include her teammates. Compared to every other competitive character in Total Drama, who borders from antagonist to full-on villanous, she was a great change of pace in that regard. I think all Sky just needed was some break from the Dave stuff, because he was so egregiously annoying he brought her down by association. In the few couple of episodes where Sky can exist without Dave, she's great! And shows a lot more value than in the few couple of episodes Zoey is without Mike.
This was the first Total Drama season I successfully completed. And I have to say, Sky is a queen. But I wonder what would've happened if she told Dave she had a boyfriend before the final episode. I bet Dave would be heartbroken and find someone else (probably Ella, she liked him.)

I'm not a big fan of Sky, but I also never understood why people called her Diet Zoey or Zoey 2.0, because she's almost nothing like her. Edit: Also, most of the criticism she receives about being a Mary Sue, etc. is dumb.
Sky is my favourite Pahkitew character, but she's still mid as hell. I wish they played up her being competitive, basically make her Courtney, but she can actually make friends and can take a loss gracefully. I think since the Pahkitew cast is so over the top, Sky was stuck playing the straight man and thus had a muted personality. If thr cast was more normal, then Sky could have gotten more moments of being blunt and tough and competitive, but still generally a nice person.

I was used to dislike and hate B Sam Dawn and Dakota when I watch TDROTI in the past, but now over the years went on and passed as I grew older I really really love and enjoy their presence in TDROTI as a whole.

@Heather Heatheroğlu Give you some personal thoughts: 1. Sugar is a strong MVP competitor in challenges for her team and by herself in the merge (ep 9-10) 2. She knows how to undercut Sky at the final 4, exposing Ella for singing, pushing the tree on Jasmine and breaking up apart 2 couples: Dave & Sky in episodes 7-9 and Jasmine & Shawn in episode 11 as she was one of the few peoples to stop Scarlett in episode 10 from destroying the artificial island. 3. If you like/dislike her that's perfectly fine and I find her meh to okay since she is a funny comedic relief character instead of terrible villain 4. She is the most underrated total drama character since she receives too much hate.

I like her actually. Someone here just called her a more grounded Courtney and I have to agree. Sky didn't repeatedly go "But I'm an aspiring Olympian!" which is great. Sky should of told Dave about Keith way sooner then she did in the show because she took to long to tell him why she doesn't want to date Dave. Saying but once is not a good enough excuse because she have multiple chances to tell Dave about her boyfriend Keith and yet she never told him. She tired to kiss Dave multiple times in the show albeit one attempted kiss was a part of a challenge but she was blushing while trying to kiss Dave so she is not 100% innocent in that because if you are blushing while trying to kiss someone while you got a bf or gf then that is consider cheating in my books because you enjoyed the attempted kiss. In the grand final of the season the wheel "randomly" gave her Dave TWICE and she kisses him to motive him to help her win and she said to him that they can go on a date after the show while because got a bf back home. Now to play devil's advocate for a moment we don't know why Sky wants to break up with Keith because it was not explained in the show so Keith could be a jerk to Sky and he doesn't treat her right or he can be the nicest guy around and treat Sky like a queen. Now that Sky cheated on Keith on international TV he will now break up her for cheating on him and Sky will lose both Dave and Keith. Dave is a a bad person to her through so he doesn't deserve her for being a stalker and for being violent towards her when he find out about Keith and for not listening to her during the season.

Recently, I've been watching TDPI yesterday and this day (finished in just 2 days) and I found the season very overwhelming and weird as a whole, regarding the awful cast in general, but I found only 8/14 characters to be the saving graces from TDPI like Jasmine Shawn Ella Sky Scarlett Topher Sammy & Sugar who made the season very tolerable for me personally and the rest of the cast are complete morons of pure garbage at worst like Max Dave Amy Rodney Beardo & Leonard who they suck as heck and my opinion about the season is very self explanatory reason that I already explain it...

Imo Sky is similar to Zoey since Zoey was, like, the 'main girl'/character. So is Sky.
If we compare the Old Cast, she probably is not a great character. But on her own, she is pretty good. I think her problem tends to come from being on her season. If she had been between any other season, she would probably come would liked more.

Sky honestly seems like a more grounded Courtney. Insanely driven and competitive but not enough to kill someone over it
I would also like to add that in the finale when Sky was having her 'tantrum', she kept stating," It's not fair !" and honestly, yeah it was unfair . Sky throughout all the season has tried to play a fair game, even so far as in the final 4 challenge where Sugar suggests cheating Sky declines . So when Chris says that if neither final 2 doesn't cross the finish, then the assistants split the money . It's extremely unfair and goes against what Sky's mindset is when in a competition. This is helped because of Sky being a trainee Olympian, the gold medal doesn't split to the fifth and ninth place people, it goes to who did the best (in this case the person who crossed the finish line first) .
I never understood why people thought she was the second coming of Zoey, especially since Zoey claims to hate jocks and Sky is technically a jock.

@@valeriebernstein9167 My guess is how both Zoey and Skye had similar themes of being plain compared to the other cast and their relationship to Mike and Dave. Given Zoey was in the all stars before Skye's season, the comparisons were inevitable

Sky for me personally she is much better by herself without Dave around who is dragging her character down and that is the reason why peoples believe Sky is not a well developed character because of her relantioship with Dave ruined her in episodes 5 7 9 and the finale. Sky is one of my favorite characters in Total Drama Pahkitew Island. I never really understood why people hated her. Sure the way she handled things with Dave was wrong but also she did try to tell him that she had a boyfriend but he didn’t want to hear it.

This may be debatable for many TD fans across the TD community. But in my personal opinion, Sky is actually a great character (Low S tier). The reason I say this is because as soon as I saw her face when the season first premiered, I always thought she had potential to win the season. And she did, at least in some parts of the world. And because she is better off alone than she is with Dave. Or maybe, she should come back for a future season and deserves someone better. She may be similar to Zoey, but the 2, I never hated

For me, I didn’t really remark on Sky all that much(good or bad). Jasmine and Shawn were the ones I was most focused on that season. Another thing that stood out aside from those two is Chris being insane.

Thank you so much about this video. Sky is indeed misunderstood character. and thank you so much about talking about her "tandtrum" in the finale. She was so close to win and than just loses everything. and I also hate when people claims that she was just a bitch in the finale. As you said, all the odds were against her. two of the best players in the season were against her in the finale. she got Dave, the last person she wanted. and Chris, instead of letting them to talk and getting some good terms, he just made Dave feel more upset and once again he cried. Shawn and Jasmine laughed at her. Sky had to motivate Dave. maybe the kiss was too impulsive, but I understand her. and Chris even says in the confessional that he does not understand what is going on between Sky and Dave. he litterly admitted that he wanted them to fight to create more drama. Chris for no reason targeted Sky. and when it did not worked for him, he decided to took down both Sky and Shawn
and this is why I hate the finale. the writers were just biased for Shawn and Sky screwed.

Once again, I wish she wasn't bogged down with boy plotlines, Gwen already suffered enough with that, why do it again for a new character with less known about them? I mean, people complain about Zoey being male oriented, but I still maintain she had stuff outside of that, Sky has less to work with, I don't really count her rivalry with Sugar cause that was barley a thing, I think the only other thing she had was being a team leader, but that also wasn't focused on much, I'm not saying she is trash, I'm just saying she should have been given something more interesting than just being a normal girl who is physically athletic.

The Only thing i really desliked was the fact that they Turned her into a jerk. We already have Lightning And Jo for ego Athletes.
And that couldd be a good point for her. The Fact that she sacrificed her morals as an Athlete.
And for Fanfiction theres always trying to fix The mesa that Skave was. I blame them both on their own And i think it has potential. But Only in fan-works.
If she was in a season like Island, she'd definitely need some more to her to make her a good character, but for a 13 episode season, she's fine for what she is. She's pretty much guaranteed top 5 simply because her competition is so lacking.
Sky was probably my second favorite girl contestant of Pakitew Island(Jasmine was my favorite). But, I wish she told Dave from the start that she had a boyfriend.
I honestly thought you were going to tackle Shawn to be honest but more appreciation on Sky is appreciated.

Couldn’t have come up with anything better myself for Sky.
So, if I’m saying this right, Sky is just sort of like a calm mediator type contestant, but has problems with uncertainty as the season progresses and gets dragged into trouble more often than not. I don’t see this as “Diet Zoey” or just anything that was thrown around in the community.
I was sort of neutral towards Sky even before this video was uploaded. I agree she was just part of the “level-headed” contestant group of the series.
I felt like after Dave’s 180 spiral down started, she just sort of gets bad luck with Dave getting more dramatic, getting forced to go along with plans without her say, and a prominent red flag reason: Chris.
I still don’t know what it is with Season 6 Post-Jail Chris, but he just doesn’t care about personal privacy or being cruel towards Dave and Sky towards the end. That’s just insanity and creepy.
Even after watching, I’m still neutral towards Sky, although I agree her ending wasn’t really fulfilling compared to Shawn’s ending.
Personally, the island's idea, Jasmine, Ella, Shawn, Sky, and MOST of Scarlett are probably the only things I LIKED throughout all of the season. Jasmine and Shawn's relationship took a bit of a rocky turn, but it recovered.
I really liked Sky, Shawn & her were two of the best competitors and I’m glad they were the final 2.

Ella was my favorite of the gimmick characters ( depending if Amy and Samey count as gimmick ) could be my favorite overall gimmick character

Sky was honestly my favorite character when I first watched Pahkitew Island. I'm not sure if that's still the case, but I still really love her, for a lot of reasons you mentioned. I really appreciated how, despite being competitive and flawed, she was someone who genuinely valued being a good team member, someone who always wanted to include her teammates. Compared to every other competitive character in Total Drama, who borders from antagonist to full-on villanous, she was a great change of pace in that regard.
I think all Sky just needed was some break from the Dave stuff, because he was so egregiously annoying he brought her down by association. In the few couple of episodes where Sky can exist without Dave, she's great! And shows a lot more value than in the few couple of episodes Zoey is without Mike.
I really like Sky, too.
This was the first Total Drama season I successfully completed. And I have to say, Sky is a queen. But I wonder what would've happened if she told Dave she had a boyfriend before the final episode. I bet Dave would be heartbroken and find someone else (probably Ella, she liked him.)

I'm not a big fan of Sky, but I also never understood why people called her Diet Zoey or Zoey 2.0, because she's almost nothing like her.
Edit: Also, most of the criticism she receives about being a Mary Sue, etc. is dumb.
Sky is my favourite Pahkitew character, but she's still mid as hell. I wish they played up her being competitive, basically make her Courtney, but she can actually make friends and can take a loss gracefully. I think since the Pahkitew cast is so over the top, Sky was stuck playing the straight man and thus had a muted personality. If thr cast was more normal, then Sky could have gotten more moments of being blunt and tough and competitive, but still generally a nice person.

1. Sugar is a strong MVP competitor in challenges for her team and by herself in the merge (ep 9-10)
2. She knows how to undercut Sky at the final 4, exposing Ella for singing, pushing the tree on Jasmine and breaking up apart 2 couples: Dave & Sky in episodes 7-9 and Jasmine & Shawn in episode 11 as she was one of the few peoples to stop Scarlett in episode 10 from destroying the artificial island.
3. If you like/dislike her that's perfectly fine and I find her meh to okay since she is a funny comedic relief character instead of terrible villain
4. She is the most underrated total drama character since she receives too much hate.

I like her actually. Someone here just called her a more grounded Courtney and I have to agree. Sky didn't repeatedly go "But I'm an aspiring Olympian!" which is great. She played fair and well and I like both endings with her winning or not. Plus, she's cute. ❤

Sky should of told Dave about Keith way sooner then she did in the show because she took to long to tell him why she doesn't want to date Dave. Saying but once is not a good enough excuse because she have multiple chances to tell Dave about her boyfriend Keith and yet she never told him. She tired to kiss Dave multiple times in the show albeit one attempted kiss was a part of a challenge but she was blushing while trying to kiss Dave so she is not 100% innocent in that because if you are blushing while trying to kiss someone while you got a bf or gf then that is consider cheating in my books because you enjoyed the attempted kiss. In the grand final of the season the wheel "randomly" gave her Dave TWICE and she kisses him to motive him to help her win and she said to him that they can go on a date after the show while because got a bf back home. Now to play devil's advocate for a moment we don't know why Sky wants to break up with Keith because it was not explained in the show so Keith could be a jerk to Sky and he doesn't treat her right or he can be the nicest guy around and treat Sky like a queen. Now that Sky cheated on Keith on international TV he will now break up her for cheating on him and Sky will lose both Dave and Keith. Dave is a a bad person to her through so he doesn't deserve her for being a stalker and for being violent towards her when he find out about Keith and for not listening to her during the season.
But Dave was at fault because he was too focused on Sky that he didn't want to hear the"but"

Recently, I've been watching TDPI yesterday and this day (finished in just 2 days) and I found the season very overwhelming and weird as a whole, regarding the awful cast in general, but I found only 8/14 characters to be the saving graces from TDPI like Jasmine Shawn Ella Sky Scarlett Topher Sammy & Sugar who made the season very tolerable for me personally and the rest of the cast are complete morons of pure garbage at worst like Max Dave Amy Rodney Beardo & Leonard who they suck as heck and my opinion about the season is very self explanatory reason that I already explain it...
