The educators speaking are knowledgeable and are running a very authentic montessori program. It looks amazing. The room so spacious. Only notice a couple of things I thought could have been changed - Bread is not an ideal meal for chickens and some of the plants in the environment are poisonous to children.

Love this video!! Reminds me of my first Montessori school that I worked at for 5 years! I have a question - does your administration support you allowing students to have no shoes/pants on? I saw some students with no shoes on even outside and I LOVED it as I think feet are a great way to experience sensorial textures and also allow for better coordination. I also think having just training pants on is great for toddlers learning to toilet. Do tbe students choose to not wear these things and that is okay or are there other reasons for it like they have no more dry pants? Thanks so much! Love this video!!

If my child went here, I would kindly request that my child be corrected and his underwear be on the inside of his pants. 😅 Also, I’m precise about shoes being on the right feet because of foot health. The child will not know that shoes are shaped specifically for the shape of the foot. Maybe it wouldn’t hurt one time (too bad) to have the shoes on on the wrong feet but how will the child know it’s not good if the child is not taught? I help teach my child this. Anyone interested- look into barefoot shoes and different shaped feet/shoes and you’ll get an idea what I’m referring to. It is bad for feet and development for the foot to be in a shoe the wrong shape (or backwards).

Nice yes there is no reason how to dress but you can’t just let them not wear pants or forget there shoes

Language lessons with a mask covering your face? 🤔 Young kids need to see facial expressions and mouth movements to develop language, do they not? Other than that this seems like a really cool program, especially the chickens!

I can explain this. When you work with young children, most laws/childcare rules require you to wear a mask or stay home (or both, depending on the stage of illness) to avoid getting kids and other teachers sick. In terms of seeing our wonderful faces, it’s better if we’re there in a mask, than not there at all.
