You did it you chad~ I appreciate the honor. Still at the beginning of the vid. Hope you enjoy my kamioshi waifu~ For some introductory context, Omaru Polka considers herself a "Circus Ringmaster", as her goal is to entertain her audience. Her members are both the audience and part of the show she puts on. In this song, the two versions of Polka you see likely represent multiple things. There's her real self in the real world, her fans, and her vtuber/idol self, among others. When she and her vtuber self hold hands, it's symbolic of the feedback loop she experiences and strives for with all three. As an aside, the title of the song is a portmanteau of the english "psychotic" and japanese "saikou" (meaning "the best/highest/most" or "maximum").
The way I understand it, this song is Polka looking at her content from the fan's perspective, which motivates her to do the best for them, because she knows what that's like. And it also illustrates that she (as the character/entertainer) can only exist due to the interaction of both sides. Her original songs typically reflect different facets of being a content creator. "PERSONA" for example highlights all the risks of becoming jaded and just presenting a hollow mask, disconnected from your audience. And "EverBlue" explores the mental and emotional toll a position like that can have. But on the other hand she has songs like "Hologram Circus", which represents her inner motivation to create a fun experience, and "SAIKYOUTICPOLKA" highlighting the fun that comes from interacting with your audience. Of course then there's "PO" - which is an experience that you can't do justice by trying to explain it in words...
Those are Polka's mascots, Zain (which means troupe members as Polka is a ring master). And also starting 9:04, this is an homage to Hatsune Miku's Luck Orb MV (which is an awesome awesome awesome song with an equally amazing MV that was ahead of its time).
Watame's Original "What an Amazing Swing" is similar in animation style to this. They both have the same CG Animation supervisor and a LOT of the same animators.
This is my favorite Polka song. I'm glad you got to it. Fun fact: Polka doesn't read super chats because she goes 100% in streams so she is too exhausted by the end to read them.
2:31 These are in fact Polka’s fan mascots, iirc they’re called Zain. Tossing in a rec for someone you haven’t really seen before, Evil Eye Wink by Takane Lui
I don't remember if I recommended it before, but I highly recommend Gura and Calli's song, Q. You said you like these animated music videos and imo this one is PEAK

Well, she catches them here and there. If they're relevant.
I love the MV for "SAIKYOUTICPOLKA". The animation is amazing. 8:37 The buff Polka was also in Hololive Shuffle 2023.
Excited for this week's videos, it will be fun to have both of you for a reaction!!
I would pay money to watch a stream of Polka using that last costume, it's a great design in my opinion.

Seconded. Or really any original from Lui. She just doesn't miss.
I love pol❤
Sigh-kyow-tick Polka
Saikou - strongest or best
TLDR: The Strongest Psychotic Polka
