Thank you for your video's your making They are not just really good and entertaining, but also like Athelas for the mind on a cold night (yes, I'm really fun at partys)
Athelas, that's a weed! Maybe a bottle of the old Winyard instead? But seriously, thank you - I'm glad you're enjoying the videos. It's great to get such kind feedback after putting the work into them.
I totaly agree with you. Even to I think from your timeline that I'm a couple of years younger (Casino Royal was the first Bond I saw in the Cinema) I still agree 100%. And whil I have watched a lot of the Moore films growing up and some of the early Brosnan ones the one I can always remember watching for the first time is tomorrow never dies. Great work, keep it up.
Mr Pentex, my wife and I have just revisited this video again, as your last line has become a staple in our relationship. You probably will never read this, but you were not our first RUclips video essayist, and you won't be out last, but you are our video essayist. Thank you! Alcohol involved...
It's strange how older people always said they had "their James Bond", and I could never quite understand until the end of No Time To Die. What we're mourning is not just a character, but the end of an era in our own lives.
I just saw the movie again yesterday. The ending hits a LOT harder when you know it’s coming. But I think he did get his happy ending. His wife and daughter are safe and he gets to be with Vesper, M, Felix, and his parents. Probably on a beach somewhere with a bottomless martini.
His conversation with Madeleine genuinely made me tear up. Craig and Seydoux are phenomenal and just listening to Bond tell Madeleine how much he loves her and how amazing he thinks her daughter is and he knows she'll grow up to be amazing. And the "She does have your eyes" "I know....I know...." as he dies was heartbreaking and yet beautiful. Craig's Bond was always involved in more emotionally grounded and personal stories and there was no better way for him to end his tenure. Daniel Craig is my favorite James Bond and I'm so happy that he got to end is legacy so perfectly.
Never thought I'd cry in a Bond film, but that ending hit me like a ton of bricks. I had to make this video just to process how I felt! Phenomenal ending indeed.
It's why I only appeared at the start for this particular video - I was getting emotional myself, and didn't want to break the rhythm of the ending by reappearing!
I love that Daniel Craig's Bond were always about exploring his origins. Sure, that made his films become episodic, but that just make things easier to connect and piece together. With that ending in "No Time To Die", we can consider all his films to be one single standalone story on their own, and I absolutely loved it. Thank you Daniel for entertaining us as the most famous secret agent in the world!
"You were my James Bond, and you always will be..." I never thought of it that way, when you said it I smiled. You're totally right, he's my Sean Connery. Fantastic sentence to end the video.
@@PentexProductions Your eyes will tear up if you watch the "Thank you, Daniel" part while listening to "Final Ascent". I came home from the cinema and the first thing i searched for was a tribute for Daniel Craigs Bond, now i am so glad i watched it so late, because overthinking the emotions displayed in the ending of the movie hit different while watching your video. Thank you so much for your effort, i think you spoke out loud what many of us were thinking but couldnt quite express or capture in words
And funny enough, a woman can be just as masculine (like moneypenny in the beginnign of Skyfall, and Madeleine Swann knowing how to unload a weapon) and vice versa for men. And still not being a bad thing
I genuinely hope Daniel sees this as some point. Nailed it on the head, every time. "You are my James Bond and you always will be!" is exactly how I feel. Daniel has made me love Bond not just as a character, but in the way you love a good friend or family member. There is so much humanity in his portrayal, and he was so easy to understand and latch onto because for all his flaws he truly was a good man motivated by service, duty, sacrifice and integrity. His death has made some upset, and it certainly makes me sob every time I watch it, but I think it's perfect because in our final moments we are said to reveal who we truly are, and Bond died exactly as he lived: doing his duty, regardless of the cost to himself, ensuring that those who needed him were safe. Beyond the martinis, the women, the gambling, the nice suits and fast cars, that is what and who James Bond is. The truest definition of what it means to be a man, to stand up for what you believe in, to fight for those you love and protect them at all costs. He never gave up, never gave in, never stopped until the job was done. And for that, we will remember him.
"You are my James Bond and you always will be!" This line really hit me hard as this was the exact same thought I had when I left the theatre! There would NEVER be another Daniel❤️ P.S. Amazing video man!👏🏻
It was extremely ballsy to kill off the most iconic film character in history. But they did it in such a respectful and connecting way that you can’t help but accept it and find it fitting. Yes, it was sad, but you were just upset with the fact he didn’t make it, not with how he went. If you had to kill off such an iconic protagonist, this was the way to do it. One that you can’t help but have respect for it.
Couldn't agree more. I know people are sensitive about Bond dying, but for me it was not just always a possibility with Dan's era (for how daring it was already and its darker tone) but in some ways inevitable. What I respect about how his death was handled is that it wasn't cheap or done to "subvert expectations." Bond didn't get shot in the head, in the back, or have a piano dropped on him. He got to follow him in his last moments as he took in his fate, knew what was going to happen, and watch...as he did what I hope I do when my moment comes. He isn't sobbing uncontrollably, he's not bitter, or asking for more time, or belligerent and irate. He faces his fate like a man, tells those he loves how he feels, and stands tall knowing that what he's done will ensure the safety of not just his family, but that of the world. Bond died as he lived, doing his duty at all costs, even to himself. He stands as a very inspirational figure, not just for how noble his sacrifice was, but for how he's acted the whole era. As a man who shows it's okay to be vulnerable, to love and lose, to grieve for those we miss, and to open up about our past and our trauma. Collectively, he is a reminder to me every day of exactly what kind of man I want to be.
As a lifelong Bond fan, I've seen all the BONDS, Connery set the standard, shame Lazenby didn't do more, Brosnan did the best he could with what he had. Daniel Craig crushed it, a truly brilliant Bond, thank you Mr. Craig..
What a beautiful tribute. It made me cry. I feel like he actually died. No matter who has portrayed him in the past or who will portray him in the future… Daniel Craig will always be “The” James Bond. 007…R.I.P. You will truly be missed. 💔
Very beautiful tribute, and I feel the exact same way. I loved the ending, even though it haunts me, and never before have I come away from a Bond film thinking about it. For a long time afterwards. It was a very ballsy ending, but the perfect one.
I remember watching the news that the new James Bond is Daniel Craig along with the trailer of "Casino Royale". it was 2005 and i was in elementary school. Growing up as a kid i only watched Brosnan Bond's briefly, but Craig is the Bond of my era (the 1998-2000s kids). He's fresh, brutal, miserable and cool at the same time. I will certainly missed Craig's Bond. Thank you Daniel!!
I agree with you completely. I was already 35 years old when Casino Royale came out, so I knew the other Bond films pretty well, they were often watched in my house as well. And after being disappointed by the last two films with Pierce Brosnan, I didn't really want to see any new James Bond films. And then Casino Royale came along, and Daniel Craig had me right away. It's amazing what he's done with the character - for me, he's the best James Bond actor today. And yes, I was also very shocked by his death, and it kept me busy for weeks, it made me really sad - which is something a film rarely manages. But in the end it was the right decision by Daniel Craig to let his James Bond die, it suits him. Although I would have wished him a happy ending, I'm just a romantic.
I understood why some people disliked the ending of the film. But to me, I thought No Time To Die ended really well on a power and emotional note. It also perfectly concluded Craig’s 15 year run as bond.
The James Bond franchise is very dear to me, and as a kid whenever a Bond (Connery, then Moore) movie came out, my grandfather and I would go to the cinema to see them opening night. Now, Daniel Craig just did not feel like James Bond to me. At all. Never warmed to him. I was always a bit sad about that. But now, knowing what this franchise means to me, I find it incredibly comforting to see this video, and the comments, and know that This Bond was as dear to many as early Bond was to me.
Something I love about the franchise is how it means different things to different people, and is often very personal. Thanks for sharing your story and for respecting mine.
That is a lovely comment. Thank you for sharing it. Daniel Craig is the Bond that is dear to me, but I can understand how he's not everybody's cup of tea. I think the Bond we grow up with is the Bond we tend to ... bond with! Now that his time is done I've been inspired to go back and rewatch the older Bonds. So far Roger Moore is my second favourite. He's so much fun!
thank you so much for this. everything you said about Daniel and his Bond resonated with me so much. i also grew up watching James Bond. and Daniel’s been Bond for almost half of my life. i thought the ending was perfect even though i didn’t want him to die. i cried so hard. and i cried again watching this. damn you for that piano version of For Your Eyes Only. 😭 but thank you even more.
Perfect summary of my thoughts and emotions watching NTTD - and what made the character Craig portrait, very special to me. I thought the references to On Her Majestice Secret Service were perfect und incredibly fitting, being it the first ever Bond I had to cry to and No Time To Die the second ever. The Craig Era marks a very special timeperiod of my own biography and i found it incredible, what has happend in the last 15 Years. I am very excited, how the next 15 will turn out to be. Thank you very much for that Tribute!!
This was a great little summation of most of the feelings I had for the film, seems like we're about the same age as whilst Brosnan was just a fantastic Bond, I too don't remember him ever being as emotionally connected or vulnerable as Craig was; but that could be because I was too young to understand. I can tell you right now that even working on the film, seeing what I did for months and months, didn't make it any easier once I came to finally watch it this weekend. The tears were out, the uneasy feeling for the rest of the day too; strange how a fictional character on a screen will do that to you but I suppose we all project an element of ourselves in the films we connect with.
Lea (Madeline) had a very difficult time saying goodbye to him. She became extremely emotional in an interview when they asked her for a goodbye message to him, to the point where she just broke down and couldn't speak. That says something about him. Not just his movie persona. But of Daniel, the man. 🤎
This was a lovely tribute to Daniel Craig… I understand we’re supposed to believe that bond is dead at the end of the movie but I just cannot imagine that the franchise would kill off James Bond. I left the theaters with the belief that somehow there will be a new James Bond and the story will continue. I don’t mean just a replacement 007 but that bond will somehow survive.
I don't think they will resume the story of Craig's Bond. I think they'll start a new story with a new Bond, but not necessarily a reboot from scratch. My money is on something similar to Goldeneye, where he's already 007 at the start of the movie, but it's just a new Bond and Craig's tenure is never explicitly addressed.
I think he will return as a reboot just like Craig did... there are several versions of James Bond and there will be a new one.... but will never forget the great Craig's era...
Quite frankly, I believe he was the James Bond we all needed at the right time in all of our lives. Young, middle aged, or old timers. He was the right mix of every Bond (in my humble opinion) that everyone could relate to. Till His Return. (Or Hers).😉
I cried genuinely cried I grew up with bond and to watch him go out so heroically was just amazing. Probably the best James bond movie ever made. Just a side note I agree that tomorrow never dies has the greatest of all the bond openings ❤
NTTD was actually my first Bond movie in the theater. I hadn’t even seen one until a few years ago when I watched Dr. No as a sophomore in high school. I didn’t really recognize how good Bond was until I watched the Craig films just last year, and since then, my love for them has grown, especially for CR, Skyfall, and OHMSS, which made me so happy to here We Gave All the Time in the World and John Barry’s theme. The ending to this one hit me harder than I expected, and I realized that even though I had watched his films for the first time very recently, Craig was my bond. I remember watching the trailers for the new ones even though I wouldn’t watch them and I loved letting my dad tell me about them after he came home from watching them alone. All these memories subconsciously made Craig my favorite Bond even though I hadn’t seen any of them. I’m so glad that I was able to see NTTD with my dad and give a chance to watch a new one with someone else for the first time. Thank you Daniel!🙌
I love how everyone has a different Bond story and connection. If you enjoyed Craig's films and OHMSS, try out Timothy Dalton's two films (The Living Daylights and Licence To Kill). He has a similar gritty take on Bond like Craig, but the films are closer to the classic Bond's in style and structure. I made another video looking at the opening of The Living Daylights if you want to test the water: ruclips.net/video/3SJGduT0X6g/видео.html
@@PentexProductions It just so happens that those two are the ones I want to watch the most and I was planning on watching them very soon! Thanks, I’m excited to see them
Your tribute touched me 🙇. I, my son and daughter came out in solemn silence. We loved Craig's portrayal across all his movies. A Bond displaying his vulnerability with unparalleled strength of character.
Having learned on the internet that Bond dies I felt disappointment at the time but took the attitude that it is a love story when I saw the film I liked it
Amazing tribute man, very deep, thoughtfully reviewd, although I think he more than deserved a happy ending, his death was heroic, Daniel Craig- the best Bond ever!
Well spoken Sir ! I first HATED the last Bond Movie... after watching it multiple times I began to understand and now I like and appreciate it. Farewell Mr. Craig. MY most liked Bond ever!
I remember in 2004 how people would say 'No one will top Pierce', Daniel did. I think during his tenure he won alot of people over. Sure he had alot of hate against him in the beginning but i think Daniel silenced them. NTTD did hurt for me as well. This Bond has been my favorite and ive been around since Licence To Kill. Its just a closing of a chapter and a definite end of an era. I can respect that immensley. No. 7 WILL have some big shoes to fill. Daniel left a great legacy. Im very glad he was chosen for the role. So yes, thank you Daniel Craig.
I had never seen another James Bond movie prior to watching No Time To Die and I only went to see it because another person didn't want to go alone. I knew it was Daniel Craig's last Bond movie but I didn't know what to expect, so, him dying at the end was still a surprise to me (as usually the main character survives and if a character dies it is usually the love interest or a close friend or whatever) but the whole cinema was in shock. I was sitting somewhere in the back rows and I could see and hear the reactions coming from the other people and no one wanted to leave after the credits because they were hoping to see that Bond had survived after all, even if he would not be returning as Daniel Craig.
The third time I saw it (I know...), I actually glanced around to see how others were reacting and it was just like this. Totally unexpected, but in my view it was perfect.
Daniel Craig is the Christian Bale of the Bond Franchise. His Bond films are The Dark Knight Trilogy of the franchise. Craig made Bond, dark, gritty and a believable character again. He brought the franchise back to it's roots. Just like Christian Bale and Christopher Nolan did with the Batman character. Casino Royale is the Bond version of Batman Begins. It gave fresh new life to the Bond Franchise, and brought it back from the goofiness and the over the top galore of Die Another Day. Just like Batman Begins did it after the backlash with Batman & Robin. Craig made the Bond films, dark, believable and realistic again. Also you could say that No Time to Die is the Bond version of The Dark Knight Rises. As Bond sacrifices himself to save the world just like Batman did it in The Dark Knight Rises. Both the Bond and Batman films have had a similar evolution in tone and depiction. By initially starting off as dark and gritty, then becoming camp and over the top. Then becoming dark, grounded, realistic and serious in tone again.
A good comparison, especially with Casino Royale and Batman Begins coming out around the same time. I'd argue that Timothy Dalton's films were the first attempt at a 'gritty reboot' of Bond, but they didn't land so well - my video on that explains the argument a bit more: ruclips.net/video/3SJGduT0X6g/видео.html I get the TDKR argument, but I think the ending would have been more powerful if Batman had actually died, not faked his death. What I loved about NTTD was that it was bold enough not to do some sort of cop out by saving him at the last minute. I think the fact that Bruce survived makes his sacrifice a bit hollow and undercuts the emotion of the ending.
I'm not crying, just bad allergies i swear........Craig wasn't my bond growing up, I was a kid when golden eye released, and my little kid brain melted from how amazing it was. But Craig is my favorite nonetheless. This was a great tribute, thank you🙏
Thank you for this video. Summed up how I felt perfectly. What a brave ending to the film. I cried at the end and it caught me by surprise, not just because Bond was my hero but because in the context of the film the tragedy and the triumph went hand in hand. Bond lost but also won. Just sensational. Thanks again for your wonderful summary. Keep up the great work! 👍🏻
Thank you for making this video. You’ve eloquently expressed the power and meaning of Bond in my life too. I am a child of the ‘70s watching both Sean and Roger on ITV with my Dad. But Timothy was the first Bond that moved me and just as you describe Daniel Craig was my Bond too. From his raw energy, the love story and vulnerability of Casino Royale to me crying at the end of No Time to Die.
@@PentexProductions not only that, it was the first fps my parents allowed me to play. My dad likes james bond films, he bought it and wanted to try out the versus mode. Then I ended up playing it more than he ever did, and then he never won against me ever again, and he never played it since.
Great video! I feel like the fanbase will come to appreciate the ending in time. The only way I don't see that happening is if the wait for the next one is longer than 3 years (and 3 is pushing it), since this objectively doesn't have the happiest ending
This was emotional and damn right in feels. I am 100% with you on this one. You captured exactly my thoughts about Craig. To me he is the best one and his ending fitting. I was shocked but I loved it. Could have been done better but I still loved the ending and the movie became 3rd best of Craig Bond movies.
A very fitting ending. Perhaps a bit contrived, but it still absolutely works in the world of the film, and is just such a beautiful ending to Craig's tenure.
@@PentexProductions I am so glad that they did 5th movie that properly paid off as Craig farewell of 15 years. Spectre did not feel like proper ending it kind of left it open. This one sealed it. The one more reason why I love Craig Bond movies is that it all feels connected and whole and not standalone.
Absolutely brilliant review of Craig's tenure. Connery has been and probably always will be "my" Bond purely because he was my first taste of the franchise but Craig definitely needs to get more credit for modernising and keeping Bond (who let's face it is a problematic character on so many levels when seen through current eyes) relevant. Great video!
Thanks for watching - Connery set the standard, but the character has always changed to be more in keeping with the times, and that's what Craig did for the 21st century. Also if you're a Connery fan, while you're here you should check out my video on The Rock (AKA Sean Connery's last James Bond movie).
@@PentexProductions Ha I watched your The Rock theory straight after this one (thank you You Tube algorithms) and I you make a very strong argument, mad props for even digging into a plausible reason for the name change!
Finally somebody doing the right thing and instead of criticising an actor in a film 🎥 A video game not being up to there standards You are praising somebody for their work I’ve said this before and I will say it again We are all incredibly lucky that we have film directors and actors to make films We have game developers to make video games We have singers to make these amazing songs
Thanks - if you check out my other videos it is definitely my aim where possible to focus on the good, not the bad. I love movies, and love showcasing the things I love, rather than dwelling on the things I don't. Glad you enjoyed this one.
Great video and as a huge Bond fan, I agreed with everything you said. It was not the ending that I had hoped for, or expected, it was better... it was perfect. Never has Bond been portrayed more heroically on screen or has a Bond film been so emotional. Having now seen the film three times, twice in a cinema, the ending still hits me. 'No Time to Die' is perfect end to Daniel Craig's tenure as James Bond and for once, we have a beginning, a middle and an end and what an end. Hans Zimmer's music, especially the track called, 'Final Ascent' is amazing and even hearing it in isolation, makes me feel emotional. The quote used by M at the end by Jack London, which goes, “The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall use my time.” sums up Bond perfectly and a great call back to Fleming's, 'You Only Live Twice'. Your tribute video is excellent. Well done!
My 1st 007 in the theatre was when i was 10...i love this one so much...no matter what people said how bad that movie was... Just like i love it so much too...
Thank you Daniel. I'm shaking and crying. I still convince myself that there is a possibility you ran for it and somehow survived, even though I know this is just a coping mechanism .... Thank you to all the wonderful characters that forever will live in my mind, especially Q and M. Haha I understand that I spent close to 5 years reading fanfics because I couldn't get enough of this universe, your universe.
I grew up with Pierce Brosnan as Bond, they were both great in their own regard, but I have to admit I knew Daniel Craig was going to be a great Bond when I saw Layer Cake. I’m going to miss Daniel Craig as Bond. I have no idea who would be great to play him now. Hope they get it right.
What I hate is people saying "this is by far the best movie in the franchise". No, it is not. You cannot say that because the franchise is so huge. Every Bond added a taste and feeling of the Era with them. Craig's films were popular and successful, therefor it is logical so many people like them. But there is no film "better" than the others. You can have a personal favorite, but every film has it good bad and unique sides.
my mother had a full vhs collection in the late 90s and i watched ALL of them (was 9 years old LOL). Happy to see others share the same experience! Casino Royale is the movie i come back to again and again and will continue to enjoy it for years to come!
@@PentexProductions Funniest thing about ours was some of them had no adverts (as I'm guessing my parents had been there and stopped the recording then re-started it) but I could never remember which ones had which. 😂 Was a nice surprise when I didn't have to fast-forward through.
James Bond finale is something I wantes for Ethan Hunt in Mission Impossible, but after watching MI7, I am extremely disappointed how the work from MI 5 and 6 has been thrown away. Good for Bond and Craig 👌
Say what you want about the varying quality of the Craig Bond films but Craig himself was fantastic in the role throughout his tenure. That's something I don't think we can say about any of the other Bond actors to date. Admittedly the films themselves don't really work as one continuous story but I will give the filmmakers and Craig a ton of credit for giving Bond a real character arc that is extremely satisfying to watch.
Daniel Craig is by far my favorite Bond. I never cared for this franchise in any real way until "Casino Royale". Now it, "Skyfall", and "No Time To Die" are on near constant repeat in my home. ❤
Insta sub. Made me cry, and 100% agree with EVERYTHING you said here. I grew up with Brosnan, explored the rest, but I've seen EVERY Craig movie in theaters, and I've grown with him over 15 years. As you said: "He's MY James Bond." Much like Capaldi will always be MY doctor because he's the first one I got to experience in real time, and grow with him as his episodes aired. Brilliant content, mate.
I think growing up with him and seeing each movie when it came out really solidified him as MY Bond like you said - it was only when watching No Time To Die that I realised I was saying goodbye to a character I had 'known' and seen grow for fifteen years. For me, Tennant was my Doctor - but I love Capaldi too.
Great video. You've said all that is in my head about DC James Bond movies. You are right that it is his best performance as Bond, but I think all previous movies lead to this one and he deliberately put layer after layer in the character. Thank you for this. I really think that this end is the only possible for his journey.
Nicely done! Loved all Daniel Craig Bond movies...This last one was a great ending...tough to watch at the end...but agree with your views whole heartedly...thanks for this

He died with purpose in this movie. Dies a true hero and we'll reunite with those he lost.
"You're allowed to feel that way."
That small disclaimer explained way too much.
Oh.. man. Daniel Craig's Bond, I wish we could spend more time with him. He was truly something special man. Bond of the 21st century.
Beautifully done... Commander Craig is unarguably the best Bond... will miss him in this role!
The For Your Eyes Only track is guaranteed to bring on the waterworks...
I saw no time to die the other day and I can’t stop thinking about it either
That's incredible you worked on the film. Thank you for your work helping to bring the story to life. I never expected to be impacted so deeply by it.
Lea (Madeline) had a very difficult time saying goodbye to him. She became extremely emotional in an interview when they asked her for a goodbye message to him, to the point where she just broke down and couldn't speak. That says something about him. Not just his movie persona. But of Daniel, the man. 🤎
That video of him saying farewell to the cast and crew was also pretty heartbreaking - seems like a genuinely nice guy to work with.
And let's revisit her awesome performance in the DB5 while being shot out. Never seen fear portrayed so well.
I must admit admit I shed a tear at the end.Beautiful Movie .
@@PentexProductions I mean u never know it didn't fully show that bond died. I mean u never know bind might come back alive lol
I think he will return as a reboot just like Craig did... there are several versions of James Bond and there will be a new one.... but will never forget the great Craig's era...
Nice tribute
Love from India
We love Daniel as Bond
Thanks, I’m excited to see them
I agree with you. Your last words touched the core of my heart. Yes, Daniel Craig's Bong is my James Bond🖤
I literally had wet eyes in cinema for a long time. And for the first time in a Bond movie. I really like this movie.
Daniel Craig will go down as one of the greats. ❤️
Your tribute touched me 🙇. I, my son and daughter came out in solemn silence. We loved Craig's portrayal across all his movies. A Bond displaying his vulnerability with unparalleled strength of character.
Having learned on the internet that Bond dies I felt disappointment at the time but took the attitude that it is a love story when I saw the film I liked it
The ending of no time to die when madeleine said “i have a story for you” to her daughter made me tear up
Agree wholeheartedly that Craig is MY bond. Never ever watched ant bond films but watched every single one of Craig's saga
I feel exactly the same. Thank you for this movie and thank you Daniel. 😭😭♥️
Amazing tribute man, very deep, thoughtfully reviewd, although I think he more than deserved a happy ending, his death was heroic, Daniel Craig- the best Bond ever!
I have had tears in my eyes because of two Bond movies, On Her Majesty's Secret Service and No Time to Die.
there is no doubt that daniel will watch this video and perhaps even again with a few of his close famiily and friends. he will be very touched.
Well said, Sir. I was as crushed by his death as I have been by any character. You've put into words why I felt that way. Thank you.
The choice of using a piano cover of For Your Eyes Only was a beautiful and inspired decision!
You took the words out of my mouth well done
For the first time watching Bond movies, i got teary eyes watching No time to die.
I'd argue that Timothy Dalton's films were the first attempt at a 'gritty reboot' of Bond, but they didn't land so well - my video on that explains the argument a bit more: ruclips.net/video/3SJGduT0X6g/видео.html
I get the TDKR argument, but I think the ending would have been more powerful if Batman had actually died, not faked his death. What I loved about NTTD was that it was bold enough not to do some sort of cop out by saving him at the last minute. I think the fact that Bruce survived makes his sacrifice a bit hollow and undercuts the emotion of the ending.
Craig was my favorite bond too.
Beautiful homage to; in my opinion (like yours), was the best turn of, “Bond… James Bond”.
Thank you, so very much, for this wonderful, so heartfelt, and so truly merited tribute. Yes, for me also, Daniel Craig is the ultimate Bond.
What a beautiful tribute! There won't be another Bond like Daniel Craig!!!
There is no one word said in this tribute video that I wouldn't agree with. Daniel Craig, my favorite James Bond.
Absolutely brilliant brief tribute and the ending with the harkening back to Casino Royale and him smiling. I loved Daniel Craig's tenure.
He had a great run.
I'm not crying, just bad allergies i swear........Craig wasn't my bond growing up, I was a kid when golden eye released, and my little kid brain melted from how amazing it was. But Craig is my favorite nonetheless. This was a great tribute, thank you🙏
Daniel Craig is the reason I waited for BOND movies fervently. High benchmarks for Future BOND.
Daniel Craig will probably be my james bond too, I have big feelings of nostalgia towards the goldeneye remake for nintendo wii
I think that game was the Bond gateway for lots of my generation!
@@PentexProductions not only that, it was the first fps my parents allowed me to play. My dad likes james bond films, he bought it and wanted to try out the versus mode. Then I ended up playing it more than he ever did, and then he never won against me ever again, and he never played it since.
It was the right ending. Live by the sword and all. It broke my heart. It made me cry. And the legacy of this Bond will be all the stronger for it.
Well said.
Great video! I feel like the fanbase will come to appreciate the ending in time. The only way I don't see that happening is if the wait for the next one is longer than 3 years (and 3 is pushing it), since this objectively doesn't have the happiest ending
Definitely. It may be decisive now, but I think in time it'll come to be more widely appreciated.
@@PentexProductions Ha I watched your The Rock theory straight after this one (thank you You Tube algorithms) and I you make a very strong argument, mad props for even digging into a plausible reason for the name change!
don't really have anything to add, just wanna say that I enjoyed watching/hearing your thoughts on Craig's run. good stuff!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed!
Wow! I love everything you shared on this video, and your narrative, amazing!
Hear, hear! Well, well said, and I for one completely agree.
Ya but James Bond isn’t dead just Daniel Craig’s bond but we’ll miss him the most but the show must go on
Finally somebody doing the right thing and instead of criticising an actor in a film 🎥
A video game not being up to there standards
You are praising somebody for their work
I’ve said this before and I will say it again
We are all incredibly lucky that we have film directors and actors to make films
We have game developers to make video games
We have singers to make these amazing songs
Thanks - if you check out my other videos it is definitely my aim where possible to focus on the good, not the bad. I love movies, and love showcasing the things I love, rather than dwelling on the things I don't. Glad you enjoyed this one.
It's going to be incredibly difficult to find a new Bond after Craig. His style is so unique, it does not feel right to "start over" again
Let’s hope that the next Bond can live up to Craig’s legacy. 😔😔😔😔😔
You captured Daniel Craig's fantastic way of doing Bond. Thanks!
Watching the bond films on VHS after being recorded off TV. Can 100% relate to that. 👍
I still half expect it to cut to the commercial breaks at key moments!
@@PentexProductions Funniest thing about ours was some of them had no adverts (as I'm guessing my parents had been there and stopped the recording then re-started it) but I could never remember which ones had which. 😂 Was a nice surprise when I didn't have to fast-forward through.
Some of us still have them! Although on Betamax, I have the ITV movie premieres of TSWLM, FYEO and AVTAK. Best memories!
Brilliant video. Craig is second only to Dalton in my eyes.
Where did you find that piano version of For Your Eyes Only?
It's perfect.
Thanks, there's a link in the description
@@PentexProductions thanks for that.
James Bond finale is something I wantes for Ethan Hunt in Mission Impossible, but after watching MI7, I am extremely disappointed how the work from MI 5 and 6 has been thrown away. Good for Bond and Craig 👌
Thank you for putting into words almost exactly how i feel about these movies and this ending.
1:30
Yes! Finally some recognition for TND
I don't go online to cry 😭
Very emotional, thanks for the video ❤️
I wanted to make something that captured how the ending of NTTD made me feel. Glad to hear it resonated with you too.
MY FAVOURITE BOND IS DANIEL CRAIG JAMES BOND 007 IN ALL HIS BOND FILMS 📼,
Say what you want about the varying quality of the Craig Bond films but Craig himself was fantastic in the role throughout his tenure. That's something I don't think we can say about any of the other Bond actors to date. Admittedly the films themselves don't really work as one continuous story but I will give the filmmakers and Craig a ton of credit for giving Bond a real character arc that is extremely satisfying to watch.
Absolutely beautiful.
Thank you :)
@@PentexProductions 100%
Wonderful video, mate. Thank you for making it ❤️
Casino Royale is Craig Bond's magnum opus
It's an amazing film.
Great video. You've said all that is in my head about DC James Bond movies. You are right that it is his best performance as Bond, but I think all previous movies lead to this one and he deliberately put layer after layer in the character. Thank you for this. I really think that this end is the only possible for his journey.
I'm not crying, your're crying
I watched No Time to Die and was sipping a little buffalo trace... Definitely teared up a few times while watching it
Nicely done! Loved all Daniel Craig Bond movies...This last one was a great ending...tough to watch at the end...but agree with your views whole heartedly...thanks for this
Thanks so much for such a very insightful and thoughtful review! I share your thoughts!! So very powerful!! You truly got it
