Yes, the penalty for SWAT’ing needs to be mandatory life in prison with no parole ever. Even for children. Otherwise young people will now they can get away with it and it becomes even more prevalent amongst that cohort. If you can pull off a SWAT’ing then you’re old enough to accept all responsibility, well, I’m ok if the parents go to prison for a while too depending on how much they’re responsible for the kid feeling free to break any law they want. I’m happy to pay more taxes to keep all SWAT’ers in prison for life.
SWAT story - "Good neighbors should help their neighbors out." oh yeah? If you want good neighbors, you have to BE a good neighbor. Good neighbors don't block their neighbors' driveway, trap their cars, nor do they SWAT their neighbors.
SWATTING is being treated as a felony in most places now. Anyone who gets caught doing it can now be hit with criminal charges, which will usually end up with the perpetrator ending up in prison.
makes sense swat teams are expensive and carry much deadlier weapons than regular police officers, not only does the gear cost alot but so do the vehicles including maintenance and fuel, when people call in swat under false pretenses they are keeping them from responding to actual emergencies and wasting police resources
SWAT story: you *should* be upset with them. There was clearly no attempt to assess the actual situation before launching the assault. That is criminally stupid on their part.
Pool story.... OP's biggest mistake was letting those fools use his pool. He should say, "So you don't understand 'private property'!? " Glad OP finally got them arrested. Hopefully the AH learned her lesson. 😡
Signs like that are actually more of a liability to you than deterent. It is acknowledging a problem that doesn't even exist that could be used against you in a civil suit. No trespassing is the best sign.
Affix a life sized pic of an alligator to the bottom of the pool. Full colour. Realistic. So realistic even your own kids won't swim in it if you're not there.
Personally if you could do it without shorting out your power(and because it's probably illegal) I'd have a live electric cord dipped in the water whenever I'm not home.
Swat story - Op should 100% be furious with the SWAT team. Not only should they have done investigation on where the information was coming from before SWAT raid. They should have done observation of the site.( For both the safety of innocent people and the safety of the swat team) Both of these would have had a very different response and the choice to destroy the door is unacceptable.
Yeah, I agree. Considering the amount of stress, damage, and potential deaths that could occur based on what some people use as a prank call... Even if it is real, I'm sure a little more care could be taken.
admit, does make me wonder about this story, usually they would surround and contain, especially with a hostage, but they did hear hostage involving a child, so of course they be a little edgy about a child's life endanger.
@mr.s2005 I have seen plenty of raids in the US with this level of negligence. Multiple times swat teams have thrown flashbacks in the cribbs of the wrong house.
Widen road story: I would tell them "NOPE". If you don't want that property, you can give it back to me, but this time YOU are paying the fees. You no longer have the blackmail to force me to do so. This is on you. SWATTED story: OP, stay in contact with the district attorney's office. They can let you know when Karen is to be released. At that point, file for a restraining order against her. Hopefully, the distance required will be far enough that she wouldn't even be allowed back in her house next door to you, provided she even still owns it. Dirt wall story: But I wouldn't put grass seed down on the dirt wall, at least not on the neighbors' side of it. I'd plant clover with plenty of dandelions mixed in as well. Pool story: You let them in instead of ordering them off your property? More the fool you! You should have contacted the police the second time, definitely the third time. You simply don't compromise with people like this.
swatting is technically illegal under false reports, but its never enforced. the problem here is if she hadn't had a laundry list of fake calls to 911, she wouldn't have been in jail. they don't even bother enforcing the law in that department.

Story 3 about neighbors. I was raised in central Montana and we had neighbors drive over 100 miles to attend an auction on our farm. Reference the parable of the Good Samaritan, it isn’t how close you live, it is how you interact.
Story 1: I would have said no. They have to give you fair market value to get the property from you. Holding up the permits for the house to force OP to give the land is also probably illegal.
The one advantage of living in a ritzy neighborhood is that everyone has their own pool, and most people are “old money”. So no entitlement, smugness or snobbiness lol.
1st Story. Might be different depending on country, but I would have thought that when the government/state/county/township etc.. acquires private property, they have to pay market price for it. Usually, it ends up being a lot less than one would deem fair, but still. It sounded like they basically held the building permit over your head until you ceded the land to them. Which sounds illegal.
@@bjmattson8487 doubt it does, from the way OP tells it it's just dirt. Idk if adding anything to it to make it more structurally sound would then actually qualify it as a structure and thus make it subject to the laws op mentioned, from what I understand the laws are useless because it's just dirt.
I question the value of most of these S.W.A.T. teams as they are expensive to equip, operate, train and are literally overkill for most situations they get called to handle.
And every time a SWAT team makes a mistake entering a building the Department pays for any damage. This is a more believable story than the other ones I have commented on. BTW, for those responding that I should "turn in my badge" because of my responses to the 2 previous SWAT stories I commented on ya'll should go back and read my comments. Where did you see even whether I was an Officer??? You did not BECAUSE I never said I was or was not an Officer.
You offered an opinion of what your thoughts were and nothing more. It doesn't matter one way or another whether you are or aren't a police officer. I suspect that in the case of the restitution the department made, the neighbor had to make restitution to the department to cover what they had to payout. Which would be the proper sequence of how it should work. That along with the charges of false reporting and misuse of emergency services prior to there should have been restitution from the neighbor sought.
Story 2: OP really should have sued Karen for the pain & suffering they endured because of her crimes...along with a Permanent Restraining Order for at least 100 yards distance. Story 5: OP's primary concern would have been liability in addition to the mess & sickness. OP never should have allowed it at all.
The first story unintended malicious compliance. hiich in the end the poster had some upgrades that cost far less with the fees to first give up the land, and then to get it back from the county.
#1 Could have easily been resolved if owner had just parked her car at the END of her driveway instead of leaving space for someone else to park in back of her. End of Story. If the nasty neighbor had her car towed, she could have her arrested for GTA.
OP said that they paid for everything damaged and they would get the money back from Karen but I wonder if they paid a cleaning service to get the coffee off of the ceiling and out of the carpet😂??? I'm sure Karen has/had a lawn that she could have paved into a driveway as wide as she wanted😂!!!

I thought of something watching the last story. I have a large pecan tree in my backyard, very common in south Louisiana (USA). One day I go into my backyard and see 2 grade school aged girls picking up pecans. I asked what are you doing? Momma said we could come get pecans. Didn't know the kids, never saw them before. Definitely didn't know the mother. I told them it was okay for that day but if they wanted them again, they had to ask me for permission to enter my yard. They said okay, finished getting pecans and left. Never saw them again. (For those who don't know, pecans in backyards fall to ground. Then picked by hand or small devices that can pick up a few at a time. Commercial growers use slightly different methods for orchards.)
This HOA board member thinks she can park anywhere she want because her driveway is too small. Then narcissistic neighbourhood. bully call SWAT on op because a legal two from op driveway.

Last story, OP didn't say it but it kinda goes without saying, the karen would have also gotten a child endangerment charge too as their were children present, at night with not responsible sober adults.
A few years ago I loved in an apartment complex on 2nd floor and had an a**hole neighbor below me. Acted totally entitled, threatening me pounding on my door just for walking around. Thankfully I was moving out a couple weeks later because lease was up, as he had speakers he played so loud my floor vibrated constantly at all hours. If Op doesn't know how to do CPR that would be a great way of of having a legit reason to not have anybody over because they're not certified to perform it. Which is a liability and would be a liability since they can't provide any proof probably of knowing CPR either so yeah.
swat story im glad i live in australia an order for a soggy (aussie swat) raid must go through 3 levels and be based on concrete evidence usually swatting here gets u a visit buy 4 cops minimum and they question u
Title story: I just imagined the SWAT members moving from OP's house to Karen's, bringing her over at gunpoint and make her clean up the mess they made, at gunpoint. :) "Good neighbours help each other", yeah? Where's YOUR help not blocking the driveway? Where's your help heeding the notes? Where's your help not avoiding OP when he tried to discuss things? I feel like OP actually SHOULD be furious with the SWAT team though, this was an over-reaction. How about INVESTIGATE? Take a LOOK? Feel out the situation? Remember that "SWATting" is a thing and check it out? If this was real, them bursting in could have injured or killed the child, from their actions alone! These are NEIGHBOURS, abducting a neighbour's kid would be foolish and obvious, abductors take hostages to an UNKNOWN location, not next door. And that sounds like it would warrant a police visit, cops knocking at the door, not a damned SWAT team! How about not wrecking the place? A kid isn't going to be under the couch cushions. It's not difficult to keep the fictitious girl safe without resorting to such violence and destruction. The last/British Pool story: I hate with home invasion stuff like this the OP just ALWAYS confronts them, maybe threatens police, and gets nowhere. No! Quietly, don't let them know you're aware, call the cops, report that you have trespassers, about 20, bring vans. No warnings, don't give them a chance to escape, let them get caught red-handed, charged, whatever. Reveal yourself when/just after the cops show up, to make sure to contradict any claims of "The owner said we could be here". Drop the hammer in a way that they can't weasel out of it. (Though, continuing the story after I wrote that, it's hilarious the trespassers called the cops on themselves, LOL!)
First story-if it was her child that had been taken, did the police investigate and know exactly who they were looking for before they acted? Did they have a picture of the child or a description? There are unanswered questions for me. There was a swatting incident near me. Someone called about a hostage situation, but it turned out to be a politicians home. Fortunately it ended without incident.
I would have just called the police on them and locked the gate so they didn't get away before the cops came and had everyone trespassing oh the kitty got bigger from the last time I saw it
The third und last story. The OP screwed up by acquiescing to Julie's request to use the pool for "ten minutes" which stretched into a half hour or more und not cleaning up after themselves. Their next mistake was to confront the trespassers instead of calling the police und letting them deal with everyone.
The pool story whatever time the entitled woman got wasn't likely all that long. Most likely not more than a couple of weeks at best maybe a month and a half. The award for trespass and damages do though should have been enough to bring in and pay in full professionals to repair all f the damages.
Title story after OP got swatted got it traced back to Karen i would love to have Karen make her first court appearance and have my lawyer show up and serve her with a civil lawsuit seeking attorney and court costs with enough to be broke or be $10k in the black or $25K plus in the red after completing the criminal sentence.
I would have put up a iron fence with a remote to open it or a key punch access built give law enforcement fire department ,and mail truck and the delivery services vehicle the code and put up signs private property
I'm going to be very blunt and honest on that last story I don't feel bad for the original poster they never should have given into the demands of somebody just asking what permission and being nice and introducing themselves because when you give those types of people any chance of having an edge over you that's when they know they can just walk all over you and take advantage of your kindness and keep coming back without needing your permission maybe that's just me but that's why you keep your foot planted and you don't confront your neighbors to leave you get the cops involved or you start getting a gun to shoot in the air if you're really going to confront somebody in my opinion
Swatting has sadly become more common in recent years. It’s actually gotten multiple people killed.

The third und last story. The OP screwed up by acquiescing to Julie's request to use the pool for "ten minutes" which stretched into a half hour or more und not cleaning up after themselves.
Their next mistake was to confront the trespassers instead of calling the police und letting them deal with everyone.
I love it when real life people are actually as stupid as cartoon characters
Hello everyone, hi Ripe!
The pool story whatever time the entitled woman got wasn't likely all that long. Most likely not more than a couple of weeks at best maybe a month and a half. The award for trespass and damages do though should have been enough to bring in and pay in full professionals to repair all f the damages.

The title story, I'm kind of surprised that Karen's family didn't try to pressure the OP into dropping the charges.
OP didn't need to press charges. The Karen broke massive city and state laws by making the false call.
Not all Karens have like-minded families.
@@JamesDavy2009 true, but too many times the family does try to pressure the victim into not pressing charges.
@@DigitalCowboy000 That would make them enablers.
@@JamesDavy2009 agreed. That und they've probably have been so verbally, emotionally und mentally abused. That they've been Stockholmed.
pool story was a repeat, from a week ago
I think something got mixed up in the editing process to be honest here 😅 my bad.
Story 3. By roasting, did the temperature hit 73F in the UK.
Thanks for the heart
the drains on the roads arnt there property 2:20

Story #2 -Holy H‼️- Definitely need to be Arrested for TRESPASSING ‼️‼️ What Idiots -NO Sense Whatsoever ‼️
Hi all 👋👋
POOL STORY BIG MISTAKE RUNNING DOWN, you should have called the cops and wait for them to show up.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
the last pool story wasent this in your last video to ? or is this the one from like a month ago i know i heard this one before on ur channel

Story 3 about the pool is a repost. A recent repost.
I think the pool story has been told multiple times on this channel
It was just a few days ago I heard that story
I think something got mixed up in the editing process to be honest here 😅
Pools are Karen magnets….l
