Clarke's always been my favorite character, not because she was the protagonist, but rather because she always fought to keep her family and people alive. She's flawed; she's a teenage girl who had to step up as a leader because of her people's mistakes (sending kids to the ground and getting mad when they started to take charge). Clarke's made a lotta mistakes, but like Suraj said, this episode humanizes her in a way that I guess I've always tried to see her in. I'm glad she decided to be the good guy now, thanks monty (best character!)
This episode was so great for Clarke's character. Each place in Clarke's mind space represents her traumas and the things she feels most guilty about. The Arc and her father's death, mount weather and killing maya, contributing to Jasper's suicide, leaving Bellamy to die in the pits, torturing Madi with the collar in the cave, the trikru woods with objects representing her two lost loves; the knife she stabbed Finn with and Lexa's throne. Then the lockbox with her father's announcement and jasper's goggles. Finally after she sacrifices herself she chooses to spend the rest of her existence in the home she made with Madi, where she was the most safe and happy. I love when shows pay attention to detail and don't drop storylines without ever mentioning them again. Every big event has an impact. This has to be one of my favourite episodes of the whole show!
This episode shows what Clarke think of herself and the guilt she carries and it is heartbreaking because she did it all for everyone and she still gets blamed.
Yes because she doesn't care about anyone else except the people she loves, completely forgetting that the people that she loves have people they love too, and those people aren't part of Clarke's loved ones.
"Don't say you're doing for other people when you're also doing for yourself" so when she stayed behind in primfaya that was for herself? when she killed finn? when she pushed down the switch? when she liteally almost let her mom die? lmao what
Definitely one of the best episodes of the show for me ^^ The fact they bothered to recreate Clarke's clothes every room, bring back old characters and everything it's just really cool ^^ Also Josephine is such a good character she's so fun
If Clarke is two face then so is everyone else. I mean why does everyone forget that when she came up with the idea to kill the 300 grounders Raven and Jasper helped set the rocket for lift of to create a ring of FIRE , she just pulled the lever. Also in mount weather ,she came up with the idea to irradiate level five and Montey made it possible and both her and Bellamy pulled the damn lever If they all thought Clarke was passing a line why did they HELP her , why not as GOOD people did they say NO , my cost of survival isn’t Worth all theses people deaths and make a stand Clarke isn’t a tech savvy like Raven and Montey so if they didn’t help her, all she could have done was say her idea and sound like a psycho, but they HELPED her and then let her take full responsibility and Clarke let’s them cus she’s the leader and she “bears is so they don’t have to” Montey even took his share of responsibility in making it possible to take out everyone in mount weather that’s why I respected him he took his share of responsibility and never blamed Clarke for HIS decision And when she let the Bomb drop on tondc I think it was her first decision as a leader to sacrifices the few to save the many . Mount weather outpowered both armies. They had gps bombs, acid fog, reapers, better guns and resources food to last them forever and a bunker that survived nuclear apocalypse , whose to say maybe if they Mt weather survived there would have been more deaths Do You really think the grounders and sky ppl would have accepted them with warm hugs, no it would have been more war , and maybe even more lives would have been lost not counting the 48 kids they would have killed plus all those grounders in cages . Messed up decision but it was so they could take out the major obstacles that would prevent them from winning any war with mt weather And even Raven was pressuring Clarke at that time basically telling her she needs to win or her killing Finn would have been for nothing And the whole thing with Madi was freakin smart Why would any sane person sacrifice their child to fight a war that grown people can fight . They lived in a bunker for 6 years , how can they still be so delusional as to believe there is a “chosen one” Clarke was a freakin night blood they could have given it to her ,but because of THEIR belief they would rather use her child .IDK I mean I love my friends and family but I’ll be dammed if I sacrifice my child for anyone’s crusade! Clarke has faults but she is the absolutely last person that is a two face She makes her decisions she owns them and if she believes she was wrong she at least tries to makes it right , a bad person wouldn’t try or try blaming everyone else so the blame would’ve if their shoulders like saying “ oh well Raven made the bomb and Montey hacked their system , I just pulled the lever, and Lexa ordered me to leave and blah blah blah “ but I never heard her say anyone else’s name when she gets called out
Raven being on her high horse for the most of the show is literally so annoying haha I'm so happy with what she's going through in the final season, because she deserves it. The way she treats Clarke is messed up.
I can't believe you really dismissed the deer like that! "oh a deer she saw one time got wall space in her brain?" Well no duh lol it wasn't just a deer she saw one time, it was her FIRST deer or animal on land she'd ever saw in person and it also happened to be horribly disfigured and irradiated... I think that'd leave an impression, don't you??!

Always love to hear Chris's insight...this time about the guy shooting himself. Marketa I agree with you that Josephine was always a sociopath. You are correct. Things would have been totally different if Jasper and Monty supported her belief from the beginning. For those of you that hate Clarke need to stop. Maya wouldn't be dead if they believed Clarke.. Chris you are funny Marketa already said Josephine was a sociopath then you ended up argreeing after disagreeing. Marketa hit the nail on the head from jump.
Also, FUN FACT: there was going to be a Josephine death scene with Pauna in space! Pauna is the gorilla Lexa and Clarke fought, they decided to scrap it cuz CGI is expensive :/

I loved this episode, also Clarke is a flawed character which makes her more interesting. I love watching them preshow with the knowledge I have of the show in Season 7, with them guessing. Also for these next two seasons, season 3 & 4 knowledge is essential.
Omg yesss 💜 this episode is rlly good. I agree that it showcases sides of Clarke that needed to be more explored. And I love that they did it in such an intimate way. This is literally her mind, her deepest feels and most important memories. As a protagonist, it was so important for her to have these being revealed to everyone like that. Clarke is not my fav, but I DO have a lot of respect and empathy towards her. Specially with the next episodes. Trust me guys. This season it's gonna get crazier and crazier, in a good way. Loved your reaction!!
Wow... when the crew started reacting to this, I never thought that Marketa would ever grow to understand Clark. It's took awhile but she got that. Lol

I had as weird of a spoiler for lost as what's his name did about the 100. I saw an episode mostly with the alternate timeline. I thought Sawyer was really a cop.
Unpopular opinion Jasper commiting suicide was really sad but i couldn't really sympathize because he did this mostly over how much he loved Maya but were they really even together? Didn't they only know each other for like 3 weeks? Someone answer my question because I don't really know how long the mount weather season lasted.
Yeah they didn’t know each other together for very long but he really liked her and I don’t think he committed suicide just over maya. Mays death started his depression but over time with every bad thing happening he just lost any hope or desire for life which is understandable with the life they’re living.
An Oblation: a thing presented to or offered to God. So yeah a sacrifice. Those in the roots could be considered oblation in a more primitive and spiritual sense, and in a more physical and technological sense it would be the followers giving their bodies to the primes to use to continue living
pat is such a hypocrite the facr that he doesnt like clarke but loves everyone else when all of them did things that were horribe but unlike clarke everything she did was for her people never herself .. he love murphy yet everything he done was for he own self intrest like i just dont understand it 😂put some respect on her name

this was the most boring episode in the show lol
Kinda sad that they had to see this to understand her character and mindset. I thought it was super obvious how heavily her decisions weighted on her.
This episode shows what Clarke think of herself and the guilt she carries and it is heartbreaking because she did it all for everyone and she still gets blamed.
