Slip a piece of plastic or rubber hose over the aft dinghy bridle so the wire cable doesn't chafe the alloy.

They are great dinghies. We bought an Ultralight 260 Hypalon a year ago and it has been fabulous. One day you will miscalculate the tides and return to your dinghy to find there is 100m of mudflat that you will have to drag the dinghy over to get back in the water. You will be so glad you got the ultralight version. Also, we have webbing straps that attach to the dinghy instead of the stainless steel wire. Works perfectly with much less chance of chafe. The webbing sits flat against the front tube.

Thanks. Yeah I swapped out the wide on the front for a dyneema rope but webbing strap would be even better.

Gotta admit a 10 year warranty on the tubes is pretty good. A 10 year warranty on anything thats in salt water and blistering sunshine 24/7 is impressive. This company does have a good name as well in the sailing community from what I've seen on the net and also from my marina. FYI no I don't work for the company, I'm just a retired bricklayer from South Australia with a 16 foot sailing dinghy, which is just a tad longer than this tender lol

Yeah for sure, I cant think of anything else that I get a 10 year warrantee on.

Get a fixed length aluminium speader bar between the front and rear mount lines.
Could do double bridle to both rear lift mounts perhaps to clear the Highfield hull braces.

Hi Vernon, run a line between the two rings at the top of the S/S lines to pull them closer together and keep them away from the dinghy.

Every company chose's how they spend their marketing budget. Seems like Highfield choose to spend some of theirs supporting RUclipsrs. I prefer that to spending all the budget on FB ad's etc.
Scarborough is a great little marina! New Main working great!

Always enjoy watching your adventures .. Just a thought.. you could use composite decking as a dingy floor .. light easy to cut and won’t rot.. look forward to the next adventure 🤙

Put some tubing around that back bridle to stop rubbing

If you set a short section of PVC pipe between the two steel cables that are chafing on the rear end of the dinghy, to spread them apart could that solve the wear issue you have found?

Imma watch this now Vernon, just wanted to ask if it’s your intention to keep your playlists on top in your RUclips home page. It kind of hides your most recent video(s), I don’t know. Hope all is well with the family, and the cat.
