Jimmy dale was one of the first to rec this towns classic. He joined jimmys band to sing it wirh him in the ulster hall belfast many years ago. The flatlanders first album changed things for a lot if musicans. Such a great recording, but the more electric stuff is great too. Respect is overdue to the texas flatlanders. Garrison Keillor did Prairie Home Companion in Lubbock about 7 years ago and these guys were the musical guests. My girlfriend fell in love with Jimmy Dale Gilmore.
Had awesome opportunity to see them in Albany NY about when the tour started. Texas native in New England. They may be more relevant up here than they know. Berkshire County, MA guys? Check the area out

Butch Hancock is the third member of the trio, wonderful songwriter. Robbie Gjersoe is the guy playing all the great solos.
