Quick correction on todays podcast. I meant to say the adoption catfish story is what lead us to getting Bella, Liam, and Rylan not Lucas and Savannah. Thank you all so much for watching! Love ya!

You should have your mom on the podcast to elaborate on her situation and ways that she was able to overcome that situation. I’d also love to hear her perspective as a single mother and the ways that she parented that impacted your views that you hold today! I feel like it would help set the foundation for the podcast as a whole. She’s such a ray of sunshine.

And Brody literally yelled "you always say that and then we have like 20 more kids!" I screamed it was so funny 😂😭💀🤣 especially sinds he was just a 9year old kid saying it he always manages to make me smile love him!!😭❤️🤣

Honestly I never believed that things happen for a reason, but now looking back I definitely feel that way. A situation happened when I was at school which ended up with me threatening to take my life if I had to go back to school, (I was struggling mentally at the time and 5 years prior) luckily my mum took it seriously and looked into homeschooling which ended up happening, then a couple of months later I found a collage kinda thing that I was able to go to (I was 15) and I didn’t really want to but decided to try it. Now I’m still going a year later doing catering course, I’ve got my first job, I am doing so much better mentally and it’s nearly been 4 years since my last unalive attempt and nearly 4 months since I last self h@rmed. I’m still struggling with trauma but still getting better everyday. You guys have genuinely showed me hope and that life is definitely worth living and I’ll forever be grateful for that. Sorry some of this comments a bit deep. Love you all. And I promise to everyone, life WILL get better, it may take time but it will, stay strong, you’re never alone💖💖💖

I very much enjoyed this podcast.thank you. My 16:yr old grandson got catfished thru the internet by a girl he never met that claimed to be pregnant and she wiped out his bank account and it took a long time to convince him that she was scamming him and that she was probably not even a girl...she made up excuses about why she couldn't meet him ,etc...was so hard to see him go thru it...was a hard lesson and it happens more often than we'd want to believe. As a former supervisor for a local foster care agency and a former foster parent for behavior disordered teens I find so much value in your vlogs. Love your family. Thanks

I would really appreciate if you could go through each child’s story before adoption and their adoption stories ( if they are comfortable sharing) because my children really struggle with the fact they don’t have anyone to relate to. Although therapists understand their situations, they haven’t lived through it and my children need to be able to hear that they are not alone. We do our best in guiding them through trauma but I think this would really help them. I also tryely understand that your children may not be comfortable with this or you may not want to talk about these kinds of things on your podcast as they are not always PG. Thank you for all your advice , it has helped me be a better mom to my biological and adopted babies ❤️❤️

For me, traumaholder but not a fc kid, the thing that worked best for me was the ability to be seen and heard. Not being told to work through something again, but feeling secure by being able to feel safe with someone. Working through trauma is a good thing, but being able to (re-)gain an inner feeling of being safe, taken care of and not having to be the adult in the situation it was healing so much wounds.

This podcast is going to be something special. I don’t know why or what.. but when you announced this podcast I felt this..peace wash over me. I’ve been wanting advice from you guys for so long. But I’ve never really known where to send those questions. When you did the Christmas advent and gave out that email, I wanted to use that but didn’t wanna over step boundaries and use it for something it wasn’t intended. I’m a child who entirely fell through the cracks of the system. Like… honestly we were flat out ignored and neglected by a system that knew us kids were not in a good place. I gave up on myself. I gave up on anyone caring. Then I found this channel and it’s truly changed me. I’ve worked so hard on myself and you’ve all changed my life. I strive to be my own advocate. Things I need won’t get done unless I do them or I reach for them. My dream is to just sit down one day and learn all your advice and tips for this world. Because the small amount that I’ve learned from both of you…has been utterly life transforming. My mentality is and will forever be different. I’ve been reminded that I can also be my own advocate.

I remember when y'all went to Tennessee. And I remember the video afterwards.
I really can't believe this woman tried to catfish you guys... I'm not going to give her any hate because people go through a lot of different things which leads me to a quick little story...
When I was pregnant with my fourth child and living in Florida and not living the best life there were a lot of women who were pregnant but lied about wanting to adopt their kids just to get money just to survive or just to get high which really really upset me!
Putting my son up for adoption is the best thing I could have ever done for him! It was definitely the hardest thing I've ever done in my entire life but the best thing I could ever do for him! I do get to have some visits and some communication with him which is good. But it's hard knowing that someone else is raising my son! But they are amazing people and I won't have it any other way and I love them all as my extended family!
I think that's one of the main reasons I am drawn to your family and the Not Enough Nelson family and the Crazy Middles family.
I can kind of relate but on the opposite spectrum.
Also you all give me so much hope and so much inspiration and so much love and I want to say thank you for that so much!!!!
Much Love Always, Kristen B 💕💕💕💕💕

I loved this podcast. Max is so intuitive and Aaron has a great voice for radio. I’m surprised I don’t remember this because I was watching your channel at that time. I don’t think I ever missed an episode.

I had lice as a kid, we'd try it all, mayo, all kinds of medicine, I would get rid of it and just re get it and my hair was clean my mom kept us clean but the lice liked my hair. I didn't get rid of lice for good until I was 14 and I shaved my head bald and then I used the medicine on my scalp and it never returned again.

I love that joe is involved! He’s 🔥🔥🔥
Also, Aaron just smiling in awe at Crystal whenever she speaks. 😍
Edit- I can’t believe that happened with you guys, I watched bits but had no idea. I’m so sorry for you all, that’s a really strange situation. Crystal, you really are sunshine, we could all learn a lot from you!
In regards to adopting, I think you’ll always adopt new kids, but it’s about looking at the now. You have LOTS of kids going into teens and that could be a heavy time, they’ll need you. It’s about the best quality of life for the kids in your care currently. So allow these kids your time, your energy, and when it’s time to adopt more, you’ll know x

Did you know we actually have three types of 'fries' in the UK?
To us, fries are very skinny chips, the type you get from McDonald's etc.
Chips are usually 4 times fatter than fries, those are what we eat with fish.
Then we have steak chips, which are 2-4 times fatter than chips.
What you call chips, we call crisps 🙂

I’m a huge crazy pieces fan, I never miss a video, and I have to say that this message really hit home today. I’ve been dealing with harassment from my boss at work and just hearing this discussion made me feel a lot better. One day it’s my goal to be a foster parent, and just hearing this has given me a lot of tools to deal with my bully. Thanks Crystal and fam keep it up. I mean… keep it crazy. Lol

I am so excited for this ❤ i have been following your family (and the CMs) for years now! I am a Play Therapist, and mum of 3 grown boys with Autism. I specialise in autism, and post adoption work, but I’m in the UK 🇬🇧 but Paris Goodyear Brown at the TraumaPlay institute is the most dynamic and wonderfully inspiring trauma specialist you will find in the states! I can’t wait to follow for my clients, their families and my own growth ❤ thank you ☺️

It's crazy because the day you got your first foster child, that day I had just arrived in Georgia and around the same time of the day! I made the move from 15 hours away from a different state! Just me and my kids. I had done foster care on and off for 10 years where I was before. I adopted 3 kids.

Funny realization… my husband and I are foster and soon to be adoptive parents. My husbands name is Aaron and his best friends name is Joe. They have been besties since high school! We also had an adoption catfish except it was by a distant relative. Not a great feeling but we love the kids we have in our home now and couldn’t be happier❤
