Nicely done. The journey would have been too short for a steamy, I agree.

Yes, it was only one circuit and a bit extra at the Kirschbaumimwald end. The heavens looked as if they were about to open (which they duly did). I’d been cooped up in meetings for two days solid and needed a bit of outdoor time.

Very nice. It always surprises me you don't have more trouble with finescale wheels over lgb points; also that tiny wagons can cope with pushing against the point springs. But you've got it sorted; any special tricks?

Yes, I was getting a lot of trouble; something I really hadn’t anticipated when I started the move towards 16mm!
I’ve done three things, or maybe four!!
      1) Points very carefully levelled; those in the new loop are actually sitting on 1.5mm mild steel sheet. All the others get inspected regularly. I’ve just installed an app that the p-way team at Romney use for checking their track; haven’t had a chance to test it yet!
      2) Most inside check rails raised a little with copper strip. I was using brass boiler banding but the copper is more malleable.
      3) Weight - quite a lot of it - added to rolling stock
      4) G-flange wheels added wherever I can which is pretty much everything except the live steam locos.
I’ve also done a lot of experimenting with optimum speeds for everything powered!
