The choir at first baptist made up of teenagers my age sang this album. It was stunningly beautiful. They made these old Christmas songs new and fresh for me. I fell in love with these renditions and their beauty and listening to them while I’m far from my family living what feel alike isn’t or shouldn’t be my life is a heartstring that connects me to myself. I appreciate it and am glad I ge my or hear it. Not as painful as traditional songs that make me miss being with my family.

We all feel this way sometimes because we pray for certain things but we didn't get it or are life going bad and it feel like he isn't there. But always remember that he is there, he hear your prayers he loves you he will never abandoned you. We leave god but he will never leave us. It feels as if he isn't there anymore but he is. he is watching you every second of your life and he wants to come back into your heart. Some things happened for a reason god had something bigger and better for you but you have to have faith, be patient and be strong. God is with you.

Although I am now Buddhist, I was raised Christian. I still love this song and it reminds me so much of the similarities between my family's faith and mine. Both Jesus and the Buddha are representations of the goodness and light (or Buddha-nature) within us all. Many Buddhists hail Jesus as a Bodhivitsa, an Enlightened One like the Buddha, and I agree. The king who gave up his throne to practice and teach simplicity and peace, and the simple man who became a king of Heaven through his own message of faith and peace.
