Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to speak with Lauren about our career journeys and work! I loved it. I hope that this was in some way useful to anyone wanting a career in broadcasting. I feel like I could have given even better advice at the end! So here are three more thoughts. 1) Try your hardest not to compromise your creative integrity as the idea is always the most important element 2) Forever remain a student in your head, there is always more to learn from others and its really the only way to move forward and feel inspired 3) An idea can take time to be successful, be consistent and it will work out for you. Just might not be at the time you expected xx
I really love Amelia’s approach to interviews. It’s so modern and fresh and in time with how young people use the internet and understand celebrities. So many talk show hosts and the like are really holding on to traditional interview styles but the internet has really broken down the traditional way we interact with celebrities. I love how she’s trying to find new sides to people and consults YT comments. She’s really putting effort in and not just reading questions from a preprepared card or using cookie cutter questions even if the interview does come across silly on the surface. I gain so much more from Chicken Shop Dates than most interviews.
Amelia is a pioneer. In the world of social media and the Internet, the old super formal way of interviewing or talk shows is of the past. This is the way to do a modern comedy interview
❤️❤️❤️ this representation of women. “You can’t be it if you can’t see it” - thanks for inspiring the next generation of young women to have confidence in their own creative control. Let’s keep championing historically under-represented people on large platforms like vogue ✨
That was fantastic to watch. I absolutely love listening to Lauren on 6 music everyday and think chicken shop is such an amazing idea. The only thing is , it makes me want to eat fried chicken and chips when I watch it 😊

That chef's been pissing about with those onions for bloody ages. Terrible service. Gordon Ramsey would be absolutely fuming.
