- Happy New Year everyone ..whishing everyone a safe a wonderful New Year.. My first crappie trip of the year was an amazing trip, we had a massive rain which had me a little concerned about going we had almost a foot of rain. The crappie were in deep water but they were shallow in the water column around 5 to 2ft. Most of the time if the bait was right on them they would bite. I started off using 1/16oz pink head with a 2in blue and charturse gunslinger plastic bait then i switch to 1/16oz little stumpy us both 17 and 15ft rod with 10lb test line Mono. The sonar makes a clicking noise in the water, and yes, it spook the fish. That is why when you can to Grenada the fish were so skidish. Because so many people are using it there.

Love the videos bro but I just can’t use them flip face I’ve tried but I just can’t bring myself to use them 😅 but I do get a lot of fish on the small 33’s and I do mean a lot the only thing is after a while you have to buy another one
