Thank you Madam, for an old Geminian fellow like me, at 74, and beset with some terrible chronic health conditions, your cautions are like the best guide to how I should conduct my 'walk, talk and thought' for the next 2 1/2 months. As a Virgo ascendant with natal Mercury in Pisces, I want to tell you how tired I am of the rhetoric about Mercury being "debilitated" in Pisces. Mercury in Pisces gives the native psychic abilities that are often more accurate than any "logical" thinking process. With the shift in consciousness taking place on the planet, we are moving away from logical thinking toward using our inner knowing. Mercury in Pisces is here to assist us in trusting our inner knowing instead of trying to rely on the convoluted and often inaccurate process of "provable" logic - a logic dependent on the legacy of indoctrination, or one might say "mind control".
I hope that going forward, the astrology community will stop referring to Mercury in Pisces as "debilitated" and will start embracing it for what it really is - simply a variation here to teach us a different lesson, a lesson about trusting our inner knowing. Yes, it may be uncomfortable for those who cling to traditional "logic", but for anyone willing to embrace transition, this period will be an opportunity to see things from a different perspective and to make corresponding shifts within themselves that allows their consciousness to break the chains of traditional rhetorical thinking.
Mercury is the planet of logic and the intellect by nature, so yes it is debilitated in Pisces because it is forced to act differently than its rational nature.
