You're pretty much one of the only vegan food youtubers I know that actually makes easy delicious vegan food that is realistic for anyone to be able to cook. Your videos are the proof that literally anyone can be vegan because it's really not that difficult, and the food still tastes amazing, and your videos are helping me a lot in my transition to veganism. You probably get this a lot, but thanks for being a great inspiration to make better food choices c:
Mary's Test Kitchen | Vegan Cooking wow Mary and TVZ together! I was just thinking about your Garlic Scape Pesto recipe. I'd purchased a bunch of scapes at the farmer's market and had no clue what they were. That recipe saved the day! Would love to see you guys do a collab.
So I made this for dinner last night and I must say it's delicious and incredibly, incredibly creamy! I am not a vegetarian/vegan, just try to adopt better eating habbits and I must say this was so quick to make and also yummy! I added some extra parsley on top at the end.
Best Alfredo recipe I've ever tried. Used mushrooms, chickpeas, and sundried tomato instead of the suggested toppings and skipped the onion, still better than any cashew/cauliflower/cream cheese based recipe out there
So i'm going vegan for my senior project, and I have a feeling i'm going to live off your recipes for the next 8 months! They are amazing! Thank you so much for posting. :)
Hi John I'm vegan since 2011 and you really inspired me with your recepes!! Before i was always looking for something to cook for lunch or dinner but now thanks to you i have loats different dishes!! You're amazing .. cheers from Rome Italy .. Alessandra!!
This is, by far, the best Vegan Fettucine Alfredo I've ever made....and I've made several different versions. I leave out the capers, use plain soymilk instead of almond, add extra smoked tofu, use baby portabellos, and dust it at the end with some toasted panko breadcrumbs. I also double the sauce recipe, using it over Celebration roast, or homemade bean burgers. Keep these recipes coming....they are the best!
I made this tonight finally, after watching this video numerous times and the thought of vegan fettuccine alfredo making me drool.. and it was delicious! :) I love this video and you and everything. Can't wait to see more videos and yummy recipes!
Jon, you are my new cooking show hero. I loved your fettucine alfredo with the baked tofu (I use the same broth the no-killy philly cooks in to bake the tofu). I put about 1/3 cup of the Daiya cheese in the sauce (how could you forget that?) and it was to die for.
Oh my gosh. I love you. Okay? thank you thank you thank you. Most of the recipes for Alfredo sauce use cashews and sometimes people like me are cashew-less because they're freaking expensive just like almonds. but as soon as I saw this video I got up, did your recipe and I am currently eating this heavenly Alfredo bow tie pasta. I think its even better than the original. God bless you zombie!
I love this recipe. I cooked this twice already. I recently used this alfredo sauce for spinach dip and spinach alfredo pizza. I just used Italian seasoning and garlic powder. The pizza was so good. I'll have to work on the spinach dip. It was okay. I hope you can do a video on spinach dip in the future. Thanks again.
For those asking about tofu, Field Roast makes a great faux Italian sausage that would probably work in this. I believe their products are tofu free. And, almond milk is going to make a more flavorful Alfredo sauce than soy milk. It's going to give it a rich flavor. Most vegan cheese sauces have nuts of some kind in them.
this is my fav recipe out of all of yours to make, ive made it 5 times now xD this is my go to dish when feeding non-vegans as well because they love it to!
Thanks for the video! Hey just a note. General rule of thumb thou there's the myth to use olive oil to keep pasta fro sticking what it really does is it prevents the sauce from sticking to the pasta.
Amazing recipe! I'd considered going vegan for some time BUT never did cause I simply had no idea what to cook, buy etc. YOUR videos have really enabled me to get up and run with this. You should really be on the food network channel because you have a niche that's not out there in mainstream TV and your video's are funny too. Question... what is the significance of the zombie, my husband and I have been discussing this but have yet to figure it out. Keep up the great work!
You are awesome. I was vegetarian for one full year. Now I wanna go vegan for a year to see if I like it or not. its only been one day but I am sticking to it! And this helps out so much so thank you!
This looks amazing!! I have yet to find a decent vegan Alfredo recipe, so I can't wait to try this! And yay for Wegmans! That's where I get all the good vegan stuff!
Didn't get to make this exactly yet but I used what I had on hand and wow incredible thank you thank you so much for this recipe now I have something great to eat on Christmas while everyone else eats non-vegan
I always wanted to make a vegan fettuccini alfredo that doesn't taste like crap. I am a pretty good cook, but this is something I haven't mastered yet. I have to try this!
I've been a vegetarian/veganish for a while now and opted out of being fully vegan because of my love for Alfredo. Thanks for the great recipe, I've made it and its awesome! Switching to full veganism really soon.
Think I'll give this a shot next weekend. I'm doing sloppy joes this weekend and also a mushroom wild rice soup. Have you done sloppy joes yet? If you have an awesome recipe would love to see it.
Ha! I thought the schools in my town were the only ones that did senior projects. You don't happen to live in columbus indiana do you julia? And all your recipes are amazing. Keep doin what you're doin bro.
"It's gotta thicken up a little bit and all the flavors have to get married and have kids", I was laughing so hard.
