    Sometimes it is useful to remember a number line. Numbers progress to the right (>) as they get bigger in value so the equality sign that points to the right (> visualize pointing right towards numbers increasing in value). The less than equality sign on the number line is pointing in the direction of numerical numbers becoming progressively smaller ( and possibly more negative) . The < sign points to the left on the number line in the direction of progressively smaller numbers.

    At 4:05 : "what is the right symbol to use?" The used symbol is correct of course but 5 ≤ 9 is also correct. 5 is less than OR equal to 9. So it is not correct to say "the (!) correct symbol to use", both symbols can be used.
