This is a really neat project. I didn't realize the usefulness of different acoustic carrier frequencies on the same FM radio frequency. However, they would interfere if transmitted simultaneously. It seems that frequency division multiplexing would be possible in this application if amplitude modulation were used by the radio transceivers instead of FM.
Your now Icom and Kenwood make Ham Radios with Bluetooth, Hammer can be Use with these for amateur radio emergency Radio service, I have a Kenwood D75A that have Bluetooth Audio Connection,
Can you guys do a demo on how to sent a CoT from one Android EUD to another using Baofengs? I've got HAMMER loaded and I'm trying to do this in my office. When I drop a point, select it, and use the HAMMER icon in the radial menu, I can see the sending radio transmitting and the other radio receiving, but the point never seems to show up on the other Android EUD. Can anyone help me figure out what I'm doing wrong?
I was attracted to hammer right off the top because I operate in areas or the SOP is to operate in areas without any Wi-Fi without Wi-Fi without any internet service I'm stuck with just radios
I'm old enough to remember when the " internet " was a box and you put the phone on it, dialed the number of the computer you wanted to connect to. Now if I am not that good with this new technology so maybe you can answer this and tell me if it would work. Could I do the same thing basically provided that everyone else has another phone. So instead I replace the radio with a phone for longer ranges well as long as theres cell service. I'd so could a device be built to use a single phone while atak is running. Not sure if that would work or if so how to make such a thing so if it will and your smarter with tech than me here a freebie. Just do me a favor and if it doesn't already exist name it after me or something that would be cool.
Gave it a try using Hammer from Google Play and CivTAK v4.2.12. Plugin has been successfully recognised by CivTAK (although not compatible with CivTAK v4.3.0, so I had to reinstall in order to downgrade the version). When sending the self marker coords from source S7 to target S20 that is 10 cm away (uses the same CivTAK + Hammer setup) and listens directly to the source device I wasn't fortunate enough to get the coordinates on the target S20. Target device returns "bad checksum" error. Any ideas how I can overcome that before moving to Radios with TRRS cable in between the S7 and S20?
@@michaelbond4609 I eventually went with ATAK + Meshtastic combo and ATAK Forwarder plugin in between as described here ruclips.net/video/mb2OBIw-1Oc/видео.html. Works as intended!

Excellent overview. Well done!
When are we getting a setting to automatically send location on custom intervals?

@@ethanchambers822 Yes, I frequently receive incorrect checksums. Worse, ATAK-CIV crashed when calibrating or verifying its settings.
