Having a male diamondback terrapin myself he is the most personable pet I have out of all my reptiles! They are such cool turtles to keep! Hopefully fwc doesn’t ban them because i completely agree with you! Captive breeding would benefit this species immensely!
Those terrapin are so gorgeous! Their coloring is unbelievable. And what a little adorable character that wood turtle is! So funny! I know exactly who you are giving the spotted turtle too, but I don't remember his name! He has that absolutely immaculate indoor setup and the spotted turtles are outside perfectly camouflaged in those ponds.
Add some ghost shrimps for them to hunt as an enrichment. If they wil eat clams add some fresh water clams to the ponds. The clams will help filter the water as well!
Thanks for the great episode. My daughter is 3 and loves watching. She has a tortoise, starting young 😁 she calls you a cowboy because of your hat and loves the 'tortoise videos' even though she watches them all.. i think slinky is secretly her favourite 🤫

Thanks Kenan!!🐢❤️🐢 If the FWC and others like them would listen to private keepers/conservationists like you, we wouldn’t have ANY of the problems we do now. They need to listen to educated reptile keepers and not “suits” who have no idea what they’re talking about and who are taking money from donors to influence their law making.

I do have a question about the big pond though, I remember you mentioning in a video a while ago about the idea of filtering the big pond to make the water clear. I believe you mentioned it while talking about making your croc ponds in the future. Have you considered that idea any further because that would make a great series to watch?
I used to see quite a few diamond backs taking care of properties in Northport L.I. in the late 80's during the breeding season laying eggs. We used to police the properties so we wouldn't hit them with the mowers and weed whackers.
Keep a careful eye on that wood turtle! They've been known to climb 6ft chain-link fences! I don't know why any turtle would want to climb out of that awesome home though
The Wood Turle is an enigma in Ohio. I wish we had confirmed populations, a few have been captured in an extreme eastern county bordering Pennsylvania, but unfortunately they don’t appear to be currently extant in the the state. So cool that you got a Wood Turtle Kenan!

The diamond backs are so cool. Such a beautiful blue grey color. The wood turtle was sizing up all of the potential climbs looking for the best route.

Whenever I saw a beautiful ceramic turtle as a kid it was usually a diamondback. Just a stunning turtle. Glad to see them added to this pond system.
