    EASE EDI Committee webinar - Survey results and next steps
    The Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee (EDI) and a representative from C4DISC, presented the findings of their recent surveys, and looked at the next steps they will take to further support the EASE community in their EDI journeys.
    This event was free and open to all.

    About the speakers:
    Ana Heredia
    Consultant, Heredia & Viggiani Consulting, Brazil
    Ana Heredia is a scholarly communication and publishing consultant, and the Co-Founder of Heredia & Viggiani, a specialist consultancy firm focusing on research information. She has many years of experience in scholarly publishing and research information (at Elsevier), as well as in research infrastructure, at ORCID, where she was Regional Director for Latin America. As a trained and passionate former researcher, Ana is actively committed to and involved in the scholarly publishing global community. She chairs the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee of the European Association of Scientific Editors (EASE), and co-chairs the Global Perspectives Taskforce at Society for Scholarly Publishing (SSP). Ana is also part of the Advisory Board of the Latin American Association of Scientific Editors (ALAEC) and the Communications and Outreach Working Group of the Coalition of Diversity & Inclusion in Scholarly Communications (C4DISC). Ana is passionate about improving trust in scholarly communication and publishing, and about addressing inequities in our community.
    Kate Wilson
    Associate Publisher, Life Sciences and Social Sciences, Elsevier, UK
    Kate is a Publisher at Elsevier working on a list of clinical psychology journals. She has previously worked for societies on their journals ranging from chemical technology to rheumatology.
    Amy Beisel
    Certified Executive Coach, Beisel Coaching, Germany
    Amy Beisel is a leadership coach serving publishing professionals and organizations. She has held leadership positions at the global publisher Wiley, editorial services company AJE/Research Square (now part of MPS), and the University of Southern California Shoah Foundation. Her 20-year career in research and publishing includes roles in editorial, product management, business development, and strategy. She has served as a mentor for the Society for Scholarly Publishing and the STM Association. Originally from the United States, Amy currently lives in Germany.
    Certified Executive Coach at Beisel Coaching; Member of the 2023-2024 C4DISC Workplace Equity Survey Committee.
    Charoula Tzanakou
    Senior Lecturer, HRM Oxford Brookes University, UK
    Dr Charikleia (Charoula) Tzanakou is a Senior Lecturer of HRM at the Oxford Brookes Business School, Oxford Brookes University, in Oxford, UK. She is an expert in gender and diversity in organisations/work and research/innovation. She is particularly interested in understanding how gender and intersectional inequalities are reproduced and can be disrupted in various settings.
