Vank Cathedral or Amna Perkich is a historical church that belongs to the time of Shah Abbas II. As the most important church in New Jolfa, this church was a center for training priests and caliphs and played the role of a Christian seminary. Many monks grew up here and reached the highest religious positions. Today, the Vank Church is the center of the caliphate and the center of the connection between the Armenians of Isfahan and southern Iran with the world, and it has a special place and importance for Armenians.
