Thanks for your review and other videos about the C evolution. . I’ve had mine for nearly a year and love it . I did some work with BMW in 2012 when they launched the Evo at the Olympics . The prototypes were £450000 each !! Love my long range Evo, had always been a T Max guy but love the punchy acceleration and build quality of these bikes . Again thanks a lot
Rob Mockett Hi Rob...thanks for the feedback and can’t believe 1) that you were involved right at the start and during the Olympics too...very cool! and 2) that the prototypes were that expensive 😳. Happy riding!
Im about to get a CE04, and kinda feel like a guinea pig, since the dealer said they have no experience with these bikes! Still, cant wait. Test ride was incredible and left me shaking after riding it in dynamic mode with full power and torque.
@@mybmwcevolution1415 Had the bike a year now! Love riding it every day. Just wish it had more range so I could go more places. Still, its the best commuter bike you can get right now.
I’m at 48.000 km now and 2,5 years of ownership of a 2014 C Evo, my charging module went Kaputt too, out of warranty. BMW changed it for relatively little money, no questions asked. I thought that was very sympathetic, it did took them a while, the bike was shipped to BMW HQ. Other than that I have a low speed wobble, I think due to worn steering bearings and It eats tires. Maybe I’ll do a video too sometime! The bike realy made me a believer in EV’s.
56.000 kms now and she has proved to be quite the maintenance hog. Now quoted € 2.600,00 to change the planetary gears in the final drive. I don’t think I’m going to spend that.
Thanks for the review, just on the LED running light, I had the same problem with the button sticking so I went into the settings and selected automatic, now it starts with LED and brings on dip if light levels fall low. The only problem I have was flashing mileage reading but dealer fixed this. I bought my bike secondhand in London in May 2018 originally sold new by Park Lane.
Looks like a great bike. Bye a reminder cable in bright yellow neon color for your front disk lock, then you never forget. I myself have a 2kW scooter45. I could need just the little extra power and speed.
These were introduced in the UK in 2015, but I have never actually seen one on the road. I was quite tempted but I am very glad I didn’t buy one. Re-sale values are on the floor.
Hi - they were actually introduced in 2014. Not sure if i agree with the comments about resale value as my 2017 is still worth £4k minimum here in the UK so about 1/3 what i paid for it nearly 8 years ago. I'd say that''s pretty decent and comparable to other bikes.
It is quick especially to 30 mph...i once read it may be quicker than an M3 but can't find anything to that effect at the moment. I still have the C Evo and it's hands-down the best bike for in-city riding and anything within 70 miles on the motorway/highway. I have 3 other bikes now also....a 2019 BMW 1250 GS Adventure for long distance touring, a 2007 Suzuki GSXR 750 for track days, and a 1996 Suzuki DR650 dualsport for going off-road on the Trans European Trail in the UK and Europe. There's a bike for every type of riding :-) Thanks for watching the channel!
Hi - I must admit I’m not that excited by it. The range is less, the speed is less and the design is too impractical for my needs. But maybe I am getting old 😂 I’m keeping my C-Evo for the foreseeable future 👍🏻
The headlights, yes. It's about costs. 2012, when it was created, LED-headlights weren't usual at bikes. Now things have changed and the new CE04 will get LED all around.

Not really because it’s inside the case and the case is part of the frame. However, I don’t know of anyone that has had to replace their battery before and I follow quite a few C Evo Facebook groups and I wouldn’t worry about it. 👍🏻
@@mybmwcevolution1415 seriously there is a video of the construction of the BMW c evolution, and trust me a battery change would be a nightmare, strictly dealer or manufacturer only 😳
Mine required a brand new ILM (onboard charger) which is a common issue on these for older models with older model ILMs. It cost about £2.3k but was covered under warranty.
From a degradation point of view, very long. It can only charge at 3.7kW which is a nice slow speed for the battery 🙂 I am hoping to go over 200k miles and think the engine will go before the battery more likely 😁

Oh wow - that surprises me given Norway’s push on EV (cars/vans). Hopefully we all get more choice over the coming year(s)…there is still only a limited amount for fast and long range electric motorcycles except for Energica and Zero in my view.
I’m afraid not - it’s an equivalent of a 600cc in terms of power/speed so full license is needed. You can take it on motorways here in the UK which can be helpful.
