Hey 😊, uploaded my first t-shirt design to my FW shop just now. I'm going slowly back & forth between blogging & designing. This info was very helpful! Off to sleep now
Videos without me in them as soooo much easier to me, as all I have to do is record my screen... No make up, cleaning, hairdo, or lights needed!! And it is a proof of how easy that process is- as that's the first time I tried that on their platform LOL
Hey Mey, thank you so much for all your Fourthwall videos, they came at a great time for me as I needed to find a POD shop that I could link to my YT channel once I got into the YT partner program. I started building my shop but have hit a major hurdle - FW doesn’t have templates for horizontal wall art posters! They have vertical and square, which isn’t great for a photographer like me. I have asked them to add horizontal posters and maybe other print types (metal, acrylic), and they did get back to me right away to say they will pass request this on. It seems like such an obvious thing to have so it doesn’t make sense that they don’t. Anyway, hopefully at some point they fix that and in the meantime I guess I’ll just set up a shop full of mousemats or something 🤣 Love your content, so glad we didn’t lose you off of YT. Also your Cowz store is adorable!
I know !! that vertical thing drives me nuts!! The way "around" it is to upload the design on the side, then create the listing, then download the mockups and rotate them and re-upload. or use your own mockups. even if the print comes "sideways" it doesn't matter when the client gets it- it's a print :) PS yeah, cows are the best :)
@@MeyTribe omg of course! I had thought of putting them on sideways but thought it would look really unprofessional. I keep forgetting we can use different mockup images - such a scatterbrain! 🤪 Thank you!
@@Rockymtnchick you can use mock-ups that you’ve made or simply these but rotated… If you’re on our FB group - post about it there and we can show better with screenshots
@@MeyTribe No worries, all good. Making the mockups will be fine. I just didn't think of it as I keep forgetting FW allows us to use our own mockups - Doh! *
I'm glad I started my FW shop in December (thanks to you!) because I may be closing my Etsy shop finally. Did anyone else get the survey? You'll know what I mean if you did and took it the survey.
As always Mey, great video. What I can’t see though is any video on how to improve traffic to your site. I know that fourthwall have RUclips and TikTok shops, but those either have to have the shop based in America or you have to 500+ followers to start with, so looking at what alternative methods there might be to improve traffic. Would be good to have a video on that subject.
Hi @MeyAroyo Not sure if I am missing it but can you make a special domain go to your links page? or would you need t6o set up a different shop just for a links page if you want to use a domain directly to it?
Fourthwall is a shop builder. You can delete all the shop components and just make the home page a links page, but if that's what you're aiming for- there are better tools than that.
@@KelliBennett Wordpress, Hostinger builder, I think even Canva now has an option for a custom domain on a single page. Payhip. That depends what you wanna do with that domain later... Cause if you just want a links page, not to make a website- just go with LinkTree or any of the other options that don't have a domain, since you don't need a domain just for a links page.
@@MeyTribe I have a domain but you can’t use it on Linktree. I thought you could on Fourthwall but you are right you can’t unless that’s all you did with the website was use it as a link page only. I’ll look at the others you suggested!
Yup, mostly place it (some come from the shop builder and printful itself) but mostly place it. We have a 15% discount for community members in the description :)
Quick question, when I add a page, it isn't added to the menu. I have to add to the menu by adding a link and copying and pasting the link for whatever page I'm trying to add. I can't seem to find the answer anywhere
I just added to the menu a collection of all, and called it shop by... and under it the other collections. try doing it on the menu, you just take one collection, place it under another and tilt to the right.
Wow thank you that was so quick!! Question- I haven’t uploaded a digital product yet, I don’t remember you doing a video on FW about that would any other video about digital products be the same principle? Thanks in advance! ( Hope this makes sense) lol

And it is a proof of how easy that process is- as that's the first time I tried that on their platform LOL I haven't made a video about the digital downloads yet, but the process is super painless (I actually had a client ask me for a printable of one of my framed prints on the Jewish shop and I made it in seconds. ) The main difference is that you don't choose a product- you upload a file, and you don't have any initial mockups, you have to make all of them yourself. I will try and add that to my video list in march !
Just in case any of you want to create your shop on mobile, think again. I was really excited about fourthwall when Mey first introduced it last year. I set up and designed my store, which I spent a lot of time doing so it looked great and created and got all my pod images ready to upload. I had trouble uploading my first design onto a t-shirt, so re-watched some RUclips videos and tried again. Nope. Still not working so I contacted fourthwall. After going through the troubleshooting, I wondered if it mattered that I was using iPad, as I don’t have a laptop or pc. That’s when I find out that fourthwall isn’t set up for iPad users. I was sooo disappointed, I’ve now given up. Wish I had known from the beginning 😢🇦🇺
I think that's the case with most shop builders. In many cases it's always best to work from a laptop, and not a phone or an ipad. If other shop Builders work from your ipad - go with them. (I personally never tried uploading anywhere from my ipad or phone, I guess I always wanted to see the results on a laptop)
Unfortunately I don’t have a laptop or pc. Just couldn’t afford an iPad and one of them, so went with the iPad. Mainly because I love to draw. I didn’t realize I wouldn’t be able to access a lot sites. Oh well, guess I’m going to have to stick to redbubble and hope they upgrade my account. X
This is great. BUT. These links do not permit using anything but letters, numbers, '/' and '@' characters. This means - no links but your Fourthwall store links. Unfortunatelly. This is very important and you should emphasize it in this video.
You can add links that are not to your fourthwall shop Maybe they’re not affiliate links but def links that are outgoing. (Literally added Pinterest) If you wanna add affiliate links and for some reason can’t on the links section - add them by adding an image and text or just text.
@@jovanapereula on the links structure ? Or as a link inside text ? Cause as I said - maybe it’s blocked with the “links” element But you can add those as text I have done it in my shops. Perhaps post this in the group where you can share a screenshot and people can comment back with a screenshot
