I agree, but in my 2021 honda, the fast changing port is not the same as the carplay port. Or sometimes I don't need to charge my phone so it would be nice to be able to use carplay without plugging in to the correct port everytime

That said, $50 is some significant savings.. Oh also, I got the 6 speed too! I went for the coupe since they're a couple inches smaller, but I was pretty close to getting the hatch myself. Good choices

Also do a bunch of research and trust the parts purchases where possible. I haven't bought anything very expensive yet. for some things I will still likely go to the dealer for, but nothing at that level in the works yet. I figure for $50 vs $250 plus honda install labor fees, I'll try the $50 Qi pad first, lol

Using paddle shifters will not make the car run faster. If anything, it will only slow it down. CVT has one gear and will be a lot better if you leave the car in regular or sport mode. But that is a good video suggestion. I could compare the 0-60times using paddles vs without 😃
Should have shown the lag between pressing play on music and the audio coming through, or lag on a phone call. The lag is about 2-3 full seconds. Makes phone calls impossible. Also that first beep you hear with Siri, comes in 2-3 seconds after it is activated, so your Siri will already be off by the time you speak after the beep.

How about getting a wireless QI charging pad? Does that automatically Detect Car play? Also I tried plugging in a multi USB to tje usb slot down there. Then connected my iPhone to the multi USB. Car play dosent work
No, Qi charging pads do not transfer USB A data. You would need one that would transmit data specifically for this purpose if you don't want to plug something in to your USB port. You can buy a qi charging pad (either the factory version for civics that are very difficult and expensive to install, Attachment Kit (08U58-TBA-110A) Wireless Charger (08U58-TBA-102), or some random 3rd party that looks less elegant) and do this mod on top of that.
Is the quality of sound affected by it being wireless? I know in my civic I can tell a difference between wifi connection and wired connection. Let me know.

@@chris_timefk8 Well.. yes and no.. I don't really like to have clutter sitting around when there's no need. In the end if I still have to connected something to the car I'll rather connect my phone. I guess the solution needs to come from the software. It's about time Apple and Android fix this and enable wireless connection mode.
@@amandioamaral the difference is you don't have to connect it and disconnect it every time you get in and out of the car. you're not comparing apples to apples. this thing gets plugged in once, tuck it away and forget it. then every time you get in and out of the car, your phone connects to the car without having to plug a cable in. if you couple this with a wireless Qi charging pad, you can even just drop the phone on the pad without having to deal with the hassle of plugging in a cable to get it charged. over time plugging the lightning cables in and out of hte lightning port require cable to be replaced as it wears out, bends frays etc, and the port on the phone itself can break over time also. this solution to go wireless would reduce the wear and tear on the cables and ports. maybe you don't like the solution, but based on what you are saying you don't really understand the difference here.

Has anyone had connectivity issues with CarPlay in their 10th gen? Mine will sometimes disconnect, very slow, and my friends say it sounds robotic
if you're talking about the bluetooth adapter, as far as robotic sounding just make sure you set the EQ on your phone to flat

If you have issues with it the best things I’ve found out is resetting your head unit completely. Unfortunately it’s annoying but it works
You need to make a video about the paddle shifters cause I don’t know if it helps making the car faster if you shift them.

I haven’t noticed any difference honestly. There were a couple of times where the music cut off for like half a second and came back on.

The car has Bluetooth. But does not have wireless android auto or apple carplay. You would have to plug your phone in to utilize those features.
