I wouldn't use ebay to sell anything under any circumstances especially books. Ebay have five book sellers that completely dominate listing's and between them sell a book every second at hugely discounted prices. Julia Donaldson has sold a whopping 75 million books and 18 million of them are listed for sale on Ebay. David Walliams has sold 50 million with a staggering 12 million copies on sale on Ebay. Stay away from children's books.
For the jelly cat, washing up liquid, small drop of furniture cleaner and a stiff brush should remove those marks
