If he would've fought election against Modi from Varanasi , he wouldn't be able to get bare minimum votes , Zamanat Zapt , that is agreed , but he would've atleast been a courageous person & we would have had atleast some faith that democracy is left in India , now we know for sure , that earlier India was the largest democracy turning into the largest dictatorship. Now those who argue that India isn't a dictatorship country , then I would say Yes I agree that it's not yet, but it is in the process of turning into one.

If you want to contest election, you have to convince the returning officer that you have a considerable amount of public support for filling nomination. Because if ec allows everybody irrespective of their public support, then EC has to bear huge cost as it increases number of ballot unit used.
For example, if there are 16 candidates, then one ballot unit is sufficient but if 17 candidates, additional one ballot unit is required, resulting in extra expenditure of tax payers money. Most important thing is, such candidates contest election for just fame and fun.
Despite of all these, Rangeela's nomination would have been accepted if he had followed rules during nomination.
So what, it is about right of candidate to contest and right of voter to select. We can't filter system so only certain quality will pass out, it is work of election and not election comission. Democracy means representation of people.
@@DaveShree this may uneccesarily incur additional cost of Rs 10000/- multiply by number of booth in in India.
For example
In Odisha approx 3200 booth
10000*3200=32000000/-

The law says that independent candidate should bring 10 people as proof of identity and any candidate of an established party needs to bring 3 people. Just read and follow the basic rules when you stand for a responsible job! I guess when the whole intention of running in elections is for publicity then I guess rules do not matter as victimhood narrative gives more mileage n publicity!
Question is about right, who are you to decide a person is serious or not. Did he gives no documents or other non seriousness. Let people decide whether they want an actor or a comedian.
@@DaveShree no individual can decide, it’s the law. 10 guarantees for independent candidates. It’s been like that for decades! If one is really serious about their candidature application then atleast do basic research on the requirements under the law as to how many guarantees he needs to take with him if he plans to submit application as an proffesion. How irresponsible to not read basic research on Election application which is easily available. On top of it, he has the shamelessness to cry victim saying it’s because of his profession. People have no ethics left these days! The rule of 10 guarantees for independent candidates is the same irrespective of who you are or what your proffesion is.

Other than that Shyam's nomination was cancelled because of oath and that was DM's duty to ask and cancel if he refused to do so.

Same goes with blind BJP haters or blind BJP supporters! It’s important to see facts as they are! If any party is wrong then it should be called out. I think it's last year MLA election time I wanted to see the details of our MLA candidate so gone to some govt websites for thise the information were some what entretainenig and ha I laughed some times seeing thire income and other. But the notable thing in it is that mostly everyone had more than one nomination and ha only one is accepted and every one had a spare nomination in case the nomination they put had rejected because they were too much eager to contest in election.
