Just imagine if salah was not behind him, toti will just leave the ball for the keeper to catch it, hence the meaning of salah gaining advantage from an offside situation. This is the same reason why griezmann goal vs tunisia in WC22 was ruled out for offside. You can google the official rule for better explaination.

This is why Klopp should have played Kelleher and not Allison, give Allison a break he's played pretty much every game this season on top of recently for Brazil - Kelleher would have been fresh and ready, lack of concentration by Allison cost us the first goal and lead to eventually a draw.

You can't be offside when the defending team *deliberately* attempt the ball. Wolves headed it to salah.
