Hey, there's a theory called The time traveling ghost pirate by Alex Bale. It shows that the flying Dutchman is actually Patchy the pirate aka SpongeBob's biggest fan. I can see why the flying Dutchman is doing this, he wants SpongeBob to feel the same pain he did.

One day SpongeBob was with Gray and then got a Box and then SpongeBob got the mermaid man and Barnacle boy ping pong toy then SpongeBob forgot to feed Gray and then Gray ran away from home and finally SpongeBob stop playing the ping pong toy and then SpongeBob realized that Gray is gone and then SpongeBob sad and suffer and then he give up and then he try to walk so long so he can he be dead and then he come a cross a boy aka Bf and then he to rap him and then he agree and then this what happened THE END.

Wait wait. I have 2 questions. Normally this ending would come right after "Fruit Bowls" where SpongeBob found Gary. Did Gary really come back or was the Dutchman disguised as Gary. Because in one of the episodes, hes capable to perfectly turn into any lifeform. And my second question is. How did the Dutchman transfer SpongeBob to the underworld? (I know he can teleport).
