I always loved the detail that Override would transform while her car mode deccelerated because shes been practicing and racing for a long time, while Megatron comes to a full stop then transforms due to inexperience or just him being generally more chill.

Had to come here after hearing about Override's new figure in Legacy. This was the generation of Transformers I grew up in, and Override was my first ever figure, so i'm incredibly hyped!
I wasn't keen upon the voice of Megatron in the English dub of this series, it felt rather tried compared to the past, then the show was rather messed up at the beginning when it comes to the dub of the show!
@Sting Chameleon Megatron was a triple changer in this series. Jet and "Car" Though RID Megatron had 6 modes, including a jet and a car mode. Though the "car" mode for both Megatrons would be massive, dwarfing most trucks. Also in both shows Megatron does alot of flying around. Kinda important for his character.

Megatron was surprisingly chill for most of this series, even when his underlings fucked up royally and caused him embarrassing defeats. He only started to lose his cool after Starscream trapped him and stole the Omega Lock. While trying to catch up with Starscream we really see him finally snap as he's ambushed by the Autobots, attempts to leave the battle to go after Starscream only to get shot down by Hot Shot, Scattershot, and Red Alert as they then proceed to mock him. This enraged him so much that Earth's Cyber Planet Key had to give him a fucking break for once and give him a win as he nearly killed the three Autobots.

A great scene from a great show imo, this was interesting as at this point in the series we had no idea who Override was. She could've easily been made a Decepticon with Megatron offering to tell her about the power of the key for all we knew.
Megatron in this series I remember being hella cool, but 1: he was the first EVER Megatron I owned (the Cybertron Optimus was also my first along with literally any transformer ever lol) and 2: he was never a car again after this, and I honestly thought that was the coolest Megatron ever... Until I found out the original was a FREAKING GUN, a year later! Still, I'd rank this, the original, and Animated Megatron as my top three, because they're the most unique (BW Megatron is a different character, so it won't be counted, cause it's too obvious. Also, DOTM is an honorable mention). Every other one is a Tank, or Jet. However, if I had to say which one has the best chance of beating all, or the biggest threat, I feel like it would either be Cybertron, Armada, or G1

Override is so underated she is sutch a good charachter not only a pro racer but a good fighter to she deserves to be in futher movies and series velocitron is one of the meany colleny planets of cybertron
When I was two, I visites some relatives with my parents. I remember that they sat me down at the TV and turned on the cartoons. This scene (visually at least since I didn't know English back then), beginning to the end is burned to my brain as the first time I saw anything related to Transformers and coincidentally is also my first ever long term memory.
Megatron sounded like a hemi or a mustang and Override sounded like a motorcycle. Very accurate portrayal. Also the fact Megatron needed a cyber key for a power-up boost is no different than chargers and mustang using nitro boost kits at drag races in real life. I still don't understand why people said Megatron cheated. No one set terms about what each racer can or cannot use during the race

Everyone accepts their use because they're a long time part of racing. I might be misremembering, but Cyber Keys didn't seem to be used on that planet until the Autobots and Decepticons showed up.
Megatron was a good sport in this series. Even when later he faced off with Scourge he was very respectful and even reasonable. Too bad he fell off the deep end after Starscream betrayed him.
It seems to be a pattern, in Armada, Energon, and Cybertron, each time Megatron becomes Galvatron again, he seems to get crueler and more ruthless save for small instances of clarity and rationality, it's that whole ass immortal adage that applies everytime: "Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely"
Well, Override would have to be faster than everyone else on Velocitron, considering that the fastest being there is automatically made the ruler of the planet.
I am glad that they remembered the series and started making figures. Already Transformers Legacy Override and Starscream. I want a Megatron or Thunderblast figurine. I really like this Megatron, he is literally the code of my childhood!

It just wasn't every character, elita 1 being a good example of one who's show appearance is totally unrelated to the toy

But I did also like how robotic the characters felt in siege so maybe once in a while they should go with it. I think it's typically the Japanese shows that use the toy renders (assuming cybertron was Japanese and this was just the English dub), another example being the Japanese sequel to transformers prime season 2. Iirc, beast hunters wasn't aired in Japan. Instead they had a different season with different characters including predacons who definitely look like the toys. I think Chris mcfeely discussed it in a video so that's a much more trustworthy source than my scatterbrain
That Megatron also got killed, revived as Galvatron by his species' version of the devil, and then sorta split back into Megatron while Galvatron still existed. I think he might have also technically been the least successful Megatron.
