A serious thanks to the Ringwood locals. The first thing I did when I got to the trails was break the lever on my thru axle through carelessness. Bob supplied a replacement, and quite possibly saved this video outright. For the rest of the day, each one of these guys contributed in some way. As a group, you’ve gotta love mountain bikers!
you should check out palo duro canyon one day it has some really ruff stuff stuff like this but slippery with sand and clay lol just check weather when you come or a bunch of trails will be under water since it is a canyon bring lots of water and a scoop of Gatorade powder in camel back and u shall be set my man haha
Holy shit I’ve been watching this channel for years and ride these tracks all the time! Can’t believe I’m just seeing this 4 years later (as I’m walking this very trail system).
As a NNJ local, I can say that most trails are similar until you go further south where they level out a bit. Glad you enjoyed your time in the Garden State!
No kidding, all I saw were the technical rock garden trails built by NEMBA in Harold Parker State Forest up here in Massachusetts. Gotta love the trial by fire skills to be learned in those trails, wish NJ was closer. Hats off to the JORBA builders!
I've obsessed over your videos for quite some time now, and Ringwood is my home trail! My daily go-to! So it's really cool to see that you got to experience this! Not to mention that I was here the same day as you! Too bad we didn't cross tracks!
Seth thanks for the great, high quality videos. I'm lucky enough to live near Ringwood and ride these awesome trails regularly. Great to see on your channel.
New Jersey has a ton of great trails with quite a bit of variety, from super challenging to straight up flat rail/canal trails. I keep finding new trails all the time. Glad you had a nice ride. Come back soon!
My home state and ironically I never rode mtb there, only dirt bikes and 3 wheelers in Southern Jersey. You've definitely shown me a reason to return for a visit! Thanks for another great video!
I ride in southwestern CT and this type of trail is pretty much all I see. A couple of trails we ride are more flowy and smooth, but there's always rocks. Sweet video
This reminds me a lot of our local trails. Rothrock-State College, PA and Big Bear Lake, WV. Those trails looked amazing. I need to take a road trip now!
I've been watching your videos for a long time and now I get excited when I get out of school an see a " Seth's Bike Hacks" notification. Keep up the sick videos!
Great video as always, A really fun trip would be to go to Vernon Valley and do some downhill biking, beautiful country up there too, or go to south jersey where I am haha, some nice spots to ride as well.
your chanel is awsome! looks like an interesting and fun track :-) heading to the Dolomites,Itali in 2 weeks for some trail riding hand hiking .. really excited.
Really cool place to ride. It is all rock garden though. My 130mm hardtail beat the hell out of my body after a day of trying to keep up with the guys on enduro bikes there. Great video that brought back great memories
Nice job on the log ride Seth. You had some classic New England mountain biking there in NJ. CT is much the same, give a holler if you ever want to check it out.
Awesome job Seth! Thanks so much for the great vid...and thanks for the correction. The crew gave you the same tour that I had planned...glad that those guys showed you the goods...come back next year for more...
Man, I am so bummed that I missed you. Too busy riding the Kingdom Trails on vacation with my family in VT. Which you should certainly check out. Anyways...Welcome to the North Jersey GNAR. Add lots of sand in south and central Jersey, and it's a small wonder that everyone isn't riding a fat bike here in Jersey. Keep up the good work!
If your ever back in NY check out Sprain Ridge Park in Yonkers, its a small compact area that really rocks, in many ways. Its my go to local ride that never gets old. Take care
I live in NJ and have similar trails with similar levels of difficulty, and I ride an old steel rigid, that has a very wobbly back tire, barely working brakes, and sucky shifting, but i have so much fun and I usually can ride more obstacles than my friends. Even though the trails are very hard, i grew up with them, so most of the time I have little difficulty riding them.
If your in the area a while longer, stop in at Action Bike and Outdoors in Milford PA and ask them about the new trails they are building in Port Jervis. Plenty of rocks to go around my friend!!!
Awesome! Looks like fun trail. Technical singletrack is my favorite thing to ride, and we have lots of trails like that here in New England. If you're ever in the area, I'm sure any of the regional NEMBA (New England Mountainbiking Association) groups would love to take you out. And I agree, riding with locals is the best way to see trails, I was lucky enough to get a tour of some NH trails by locals not to long ago and go to do some AMAZING riding that I wouldn't otherwise have found.
Hi Seth, Jungle Habitat is a great place to go riding. My kids and I go there all the time. I recommend trying the orange trail and the white/ warthog trail. What trail did you go on at Ringwood? I have been trying to go to Ringwood, but don't know the trail system. At the school do you go left or right off the main trail by the fence?
Ringwood was my old stomping ground. Lived in NJ for 2 decades and recently moved to CT. Gotta love the typical New England rocks and roots; you should really make a point of getting out for more road trips. If you are ever in CT and looking for a place to ride let me know!
Wow, so different than the trails we have in central and southern NJ. I live here and still haven't ridden up there, looks fun but on a "good day", I could see those rocks being quite a challenge without enough momentum. If you're ever in the area again though you should check out some other riding in NJ, it's a bit more Florida-esque but trail systems like Allaire and 6 mile run are also a blast.
Seth, have you ever been to the Frederick watershed in MD ? The clips you show here look a lot like the "shed" as we call it. Lots of the trails are not marked and its some tough stuff ! If you find yourself in the tristate area check it out! I'm sure you can find some locals to show you around. Rocks, Rocks and more rocks lol.
Seth, you should consider stopping in Fredericksburg, Va to ride the quarry trails we have. Exit 126 on 95 south. Type "Virginia Outdoor Center" in your GPS and you'll find it. Keep up the great videos!
I'm 46 and just getting back into riding. I'm still in that just starting out of shape mode LOL. I couldn't imagine riding trails have that degree ever that is intense looks awesome to watch them
Great vid Seth! You need to come out to the Midwest, here in Kansas City, MO. Tons of great trails here and lots of techy stuff just like in this vid. You'd have a blast here man.
Hey if you're ever in Jersey again, hit the Appalachian trail by the Delaware Water Gap. Given it's on the west side of Jersey, it's real nice with good locals in the nearby towns.
great vid! We have some phenomenal riding spots in Jersey that range from Ringwood's rock nightmares, to smooth, flowy and fast, at parks like 6 mile run. Jungle Habitat isn't far from Ringwood and is a highly recommended spot. There's also a small pump track close by! Would've loved to have ridden with you guys!
If you're ever up this way again I would love to show you some of the local trails that I ride. there are some really great and diverse trails up here. I live 60 mi outside philly.
Found you thru Phil Kmetz's channel and your vids on the Walgoose, been watching since the fatbike surfing. Just wanted to let you know that I love your videos. You're always going places and trying new things, and I can't wait to get good on a bike like you are. Thanks for letting us ride with you, I what I think I'm saying. :3
Seth you where in my front yard. I'm a De boy now since I escaped from NJ 14 years ago. Ringwood is now on my to do list. If your doing a Northeast tour White Clay and Brandywine offer some nice challenge up near Wilmington De.
Those are some freakin awesome trails! I would certainly have trouble with some of those technical spots with my current ability. I'll still try them out though!
NJ native here. We totally get the stereotypes, but just like you mentioned alot of jersey, especially north, has alot of beuatiful mountains and towns. Its real different from whats popular in the media
You should go to this bike park in queens baringham park it’s really fun with steep tech, to flowy jump trails. There are 3 jump parks. One pump track, 2 jump trails. There is a few rock rolls and awesome north shore features
awsome! that trail looks a lot like what we have here in Germany. luckily we have some less rocky parts as well, riding a hard tail they can get a bit annoying ^^
A serious thanks to the Ringwood locals. The first thing I did when I got to the trails was break the lever on my thru axle through carelessness. Bob supplied a replacement, and quite possibly saved this video outright. For the rest of the day, each one of these guys contributed in some way. As a group, you’ve gotta love mountain bikers!
thank you for making this video I live in NJ and wanted to try mountain biking I didn't know where to go thank for this showing this trial
nice vid keep up the good work
you should check out palo duro canyon one day it has some really ruff stuff stuff like this but slippery with sand and clay lol just check weather when you come or a bunch of trails will be under water since it is a canyon bring lots of water and a scoop of Gatorade powder in camel back and u shall be set my man haha
+Nanchi sems like the trail I like but i probobly live too far away to ride there

What a ride! Awesome edit as well. I seriously need two more GoPros now.
You need as many of them as you can get! Multicam in Fcpx!
Oh man, I just watched a tutorial on multicam. Goodbye wallet!
Holy shit I’ve been watching this channel for years and ride these tracks all the time! Can’t believe I’m just seeing this 4 years later (as I’m walking this very trail system).
You guys rode out from my middle school! I ride the state park all of the time! Great video
As a NNJ local, I can say that most trails are similar until you go further south where they level out a bit. Glad you enjoyed your time in the Garden State!
Ceres Park is kind of a hidden gem down here, though
What a good episode. Crazy cool trails
I love the mountain bike community. They are so open and nice compared to some other sports.
people don't realize how beautiful New Jersey really is.....then theirs the cities.
Cant stand the cities kittiriny ridge in warren and sussex county is the cleanest and most isolated part
Lmao
Oh god I seriously thought that you bought yourself a new jersey and did a video on it xD
Hahhah me too
Hahaha, are you guys from the US?
lol imagine a review on a jersey

If you ever make it back to NJ hit me up!
Jeff Lenosky you are from NJ ?
What part? M in south jersey near Hammonton
Steven Fischer not you Seth
The other Jeffrey Lenowsky, the millionaire dude.
Classic north east terrain, add in some roots and you're golden
No kidding, all I saw were the technical rock garden trails built by NEMBA in Harold Parker State Forest up here in Massachusetts. Gotta love the trial by fire skills to be learned in those trails, wish NJ was closer. Hats off to the JORBA builders!
We don’t really have too many roots here, just boulders in nj
I've obsessed over your videos for quite some time now, and Ringwood is my home trail! My daily go-to! So it's really cool to see that you got to experience this! Not to mention that I was here the same day as you! Too bad we didn't cross tracks!
maybe next time!
Seth's Bike Hacks Definitely! Did you come to NJ just to mountain bike?
Seth thanks for the great, high quality videos. I'm lucky enough to live near Ringwood and ride these awesome trails regularly. Great to see on your channel.
New Jersey has a ton of great trails with quite a bit of variety, from super challenging to straight up flat rail/canal trails. I keep finding new trails all the time. Glad you had a nice ride. Come back soon!

Very cool, thanks again Seth for taking us on a tour of another great place to ride and another adventure to go hit up!

Really cool place to ride. It is all rock garden though. My 130mm hardtail beat the hell out of my body after a day of trying to keep up with the guys on enduro bikes there. Great video that brought back great memories
Yes I’m four years late but that’s my local trail! Wish I could’ve been there
Id say your best video so far. Keep up the good work Seth.

If your ever back in NY check out Sprain Ridge Park in Yonkers, its a small compact area that really rocks, in many ways. Its my go to local ride that never gets old. Take care

My home state! I'll have to check this trail out sometime. It's a bit far from me though, but looks worth it.
Beautiful terrain!
Great Video!!! you should come up to Birmingham, AL and ride at Oak Mountain State Park
You need the GoPro car suction mount for your car rides. Checkout how clear my driving videos look because of it. Great video as always Seth.
Looks like a blast!
I live in jersey and always are wondering why people think everyone is mean here because I literally never have any rude encounters here
Just rode the same exact route today, had a blast.
Welcome to my home state and county.... should've come to wyckoff. Great bike shop here
