As an illustrator, I'm tasked with knowing how to draw ALL people. But every time I drew women wearing hijab, it always looked awkward and weird. This tutorial really helped me understand hijab better, and now my drawings look more natural

@Beholdthehandbeholdthenail I won't be disrespectful to your religion because that's what islam has taught me, I am merely a 14 year old girl but I feel like it is my duty to tell you how wrong you are. I won't tell you too much about it, because I doubt you'll actually understand… you seem pretty set on your decision. But please remember that islam is one of the most practiced religions on the planet. Millions of people practice it, including myself, and I don't think you or anyone else has the right to say what we are doing is wrong. From your comment, you've made it pretty obvious to me that you do not have any knowledge on what our religion is actually based on. The fundamental concept of islam is to submit yourself to Allah (God) and to do as He and the Messenger (who he sent) said. To listen to and accept His teachings and believe that He knows best. That includes listening to the Prophet (PBUH). The fact that the Prophet was born in Makkah and was Arab himself does not mean that we have based our entire faith around the Arabian culture. Instead, I think that the Arabian culture is highly influenced by islam and not the other way around.
I won't comment on the rest of your false accusations, because I know it will cause me to be disrespectful to you, and I have already said that I don't want to do that. However, I want you to consider reading the english translation of the Quran, then, perhaps next time, you will think twice before commenting something like this.

@C K Pari sis those countries doesnt represent neither islam nor muslim people, do more research next time, don't spread misinformation, yes hijab is a requirement in islam but not to oppress women on the contrary it is to protect her, so it is a requirement for their own good, meaning it is also their choice to wear it or not, just like how salat is even more of a requirement but we don't have people put in jail for not praying or not going to the mosque, it is your religion, your faith and no one could ever come between you and your god or oblige you to do anything, islam is a religion of peace not oppression, in north africa for example, like morocco, tunis, egypt and algeria (my country) and many other countries for that matter, especially nowadays (i honestly only know of one or two countries tht may have the type of extremists acting the way you mentioned and i repeat those are "extremists" people tht take it way too far and in no mean represent islam !) even tho the ones i mentioned are also considered muslim countries, we have a lot of women who dont wear hijab and they've never been blamed for it, punished or required to wear it anywhere, all the ones tht wear it (me included) did it because we're convinced that its for our own protection, most of us now are wearing it because we want to, i started wearing it whn i was very young, my fam was actually against it because they thought i maybe too young but i stood my ground and went ahead with my choice, i'm 25 now, i've been wearing it for 13years and i dont regret it for a single day, i also cant imagine going out without it, its part of me now and im loving how much respect it earned me throughout the years, so yeah maybe some countries do oppress women but its not because of islam nor because of hijab, they only found it as a reason to control women and do whatever they want, islam nvr obliges anyone to do anything, it is your own faith and whtvr u do as long as you dont hurt anyone, it is between you and your god

I am not Muslim. I am a Christian woman. Wearing head coverings as Biblical woman are very important in the Bible and in the koran. I’ve always loved wearing scarfs and coverings. If I knew it was this easy, I would have done it much better. I do the fourth look, and you’re right. It’s a hassle. I just wrap it and it falls all over the place. Thank you so much sister. @Sukaina Dear sister, hijab is not a piece of clothe just to cover head or hair. A Muslim woman can not show her body curves. So, a Muslim woman must cover her head, shoulder and chest with the hijab. She can not tie her hair to look like a camel's hump (under hijab). Her dress must be lose enough, not see through and of course not too decorative, at outside from home. There are specific dress codes for men and women in Islam. If you teach others the wrong things then you will go against Allah's order. I am not criticising you, as a Muslim just trying to tell you the fact. I hope you will understand. May Allah subhanu wa ta'ala always bless us all (ameen).
After a number of years of wearing a turban-style, this is the first video that I've watched since deciding yesterday to go back to wearing a hijab. Turbans are nice, and while I'll still wear them, there's something very special about the hijab.
It's soothing, really, and it helps me to focus on how I present myself and how I behave while feeling more connected to my faith.

I shared this video in a meeting with my Girls Scout troop as part of learning about traditions of Girl Guides in other countries. I gave each girl thier own hijab and pin to keep. They really enjoyed this video and learning to wear the hijabs!!
The best tutorial for those new to the hijab! I found other hijab videos were either too fast paced or not as detailed which made it hard to follow but this was perfectly explained and simple enough to replicate for the beginner 🙌
