Funny how doves symbolize peace, but they fight a lot.

And they aren't even the worst either. The white-wing doves are the brutes of the bird world. They will even take on a grackle if their is just one around.

@@robertkixmiller1459 Yeah, I used to feed white-winged doves in my backyard and they fought like crazy.

That's sounds like them! They're out for blood (they tolerate the sparrow very well though). Inca doves do not like sparrows.

Yeah the ones here in central Mexico are just as stingy but with the sparrows, I noticed here the house sparrows kept their distance, those Inca doves will chase 'em off. Growing up here I never really knew what bird made that distinct cooing sound which in spanish sounds like "feo tu" over and over, translating of these words "you ugly", hehehe....thanks to RUclips and some other RUclipsrs now I know who makes the feo tu song here! Thumbs up, liked and greetings from Querétaro! :)

The Inca doves won't tolerate the sparrows, unless they are next to a white-wing dove. Size comparison, the white-wing doves are tanks compared to the Incas. Their cooing is constant. I learn something new with the "feo tu" translation. The Inca Doves like to sing their songs (or telling me off in their bird language).
Thank you! Glad you like the video. I bet their are a lot more bird species in Central Mexico compared to South Texas (and we have a lot too!). They make things much more interesting.

This is hilarious. I thought I'd see wing-slaps but noooo, they're butting each other like little goats!

Beautiful birds. A very curious behavior.

I did not expect it either. It just happened that they just started to act like that. However, both birds still ate well!
